While I get it’s not as nice décor-wise as a Safeway, when you get a lb of clams for 99 cents instead of $ 2.99, with thoughtful service from the guy who gave a few bags of ice for the drive back home, that’s worth the extra star. Though wished the ice cream wasn’t located in the far right corner. Gosh, some good deals yesterday. Wine also by here too. plus picked up some Powerade, full-size 946 ml @ 69cents, which is easily $ 2.50 back home. good service too, saw a worker help a lady to her car w/groceries. It’s a big store alright.

I am not one to give a bad review, but in this case I think it was merited. We bought two roasted chickens for lunch in our shop. I pulled off a leg and some breast meat for my wife and I. While eating it I looked into the cavity which was now visible with the breast meat gone and there was something odd. I pulled it out and it was the entire entrails, bloated and cooked with feed oozing out of a crack in the casing. We were gagging at the thought and our lunch was ruined. My wife returned the chicken and was refunded the price of the one chicken. I think that given the ghastly nature of our encounter they might have been a little less casual. I know it wasn’t the necessarily the stores fault, but it wasn’t ours at all. I am still retching as I write this review.

Several years since the«ghetto» comments, Albertson’s seems to have received a facelift. When I went, it was clean, neat, and tidy. The produce was fresh, and while some things were a bit pricey, there was nothing out of the normal Albertson’s price range. Pounds of pasta on sale for a dollar each, «buy one get one free» pork loins, and frozen veggies on the cheap, I thoroughly enjoyed shopping here, and would highly recommend it. tl;dr Good prices, clean store, not ghetto.

I haven’t been to the store. I called ahead of time to ask about their coupon policy. I was transferred twice and both associates acted like I was dumber than dirt. All I wanted to know is if they accepted the coupons I was trying to use. I’ll take my business elsewhere and pay full price before I buy from a place with rude employees.

They did not have Midori:/ The only thing I needed, o well. Can’t give them 1 star for not having the type of liquor I want. Other than that, the customer service was okay.

Ughhh… ghetto. I don’t think Albertson’s has spent a dime on this dump in two decades. If you enjoy drunks, tweekers, and welfare queens have at it. Bring in the bulldozers…

It is funny how grocery stores vary among different cities and parts of town. I have been to many cities where Albertsons are the nicest grocery store in the town. However, the Albertsons in Bellingham is downright scary. Even their rock bottom prices won’t bring me to stepping their store. If you are from out of town and need to buy some groceries, go to a Fred Meyer, Haggen’s, or Trader Joe’s. If you step foot in Bellingham’s Albertsons you will be very, very sorry.

If I was rating Albertson’s only I’d give this 1 star, but growing up in Bellingham I spent a good chunk of my formative years here. How many people were members of the monthly cookie club?

No other Albertson compares to the one you grew up with… No other has the chicken and bread effect like this one…
