Smart & Final

This store is smaller than most I have been to, but the have a decent selection of fresh produce. No deli section. I went early in the day, so it wasn’t too crowded. Some items are cheaper than other warehouse stores and much easier to get in/​out of.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday, to grab a few of my favorite drinks in bulk. (vitacoco) 12 pack for 17.99 which is a great price. Well brought those babys home so excited to chill them in the frigde. And what do i find MOLD ON THE PACKAGING AND EXPIRED. Called the store spoke to jesse (MANAGER)who simply apologized and thats it i had to drive all the way back. Got my money back no questions asked. I do feel he really didnt care. An9d i read another review on how they keep expired stuff on shelfs. WONT B COMING BACK SO DISAPOINTED.

I came to Smart & Final today for just a couple of things forgetting that it was Saturday afternoon. I should have realized with the full parking lot that the store was going to be crowded. I walked in and it was crowded. I wandered about picking up the things and a couple of «Impulse» items (dill pickles for one) and made my way to the front. They had four check stands open. One of these was a express (10 or fewer). The other three lines had several people in line and they all had full carts.
The Express lane had a couple of people in it and the lady at the end of the line had a basket full of stuff. I always get angry at this because they call it an express lane for a reason. I have actually taken items out of my cart in order to stay under the limit. When the lady got to the belt the cashier asked the «Lead» cashier about the full cart. As the lady put her first item on the belt, the cashier apologized to the lady and told her that it was a lane for 10 or fewer items and she was going to have to go to a different register.
Well the lady was unhappy about it but did so without creating a disturbance. The rest of the people including me got a very satisfied look on our face. I thanked the cashier for doing it. So did everyone else. This is the first time in my life that I have ever seen this happen!

I always had good friendly and kind cashiers and workers never had any bad experiences wit worker, Store always clean and always able to find what I need.

Saw a sale on cereal for 2.99 only to find out that was because it was expired! Male cashier opened a lane next to us with a long line and didn’t even say, «I can take the next guest in line on this side» rude. When I finally got rung up the young female cashier didn’t greet us and looked upset the whole transaction. Won’t be coming back.

First time at this location today very unpleasant experience! Cashier unfriendly with BAD customer service. She did not greet me or ask if I had found everything okay. Literally just started ringing up my items, only words she said during my cash out was «Do you want cash back» and after that handed me a receipt. Not even a goodbye or have a good day. I will not return to this location, even if it is of convenient !

Only one cashier working, that’s horrible for s busy place like this, it’s 9pm and there’s a line of people with handheld items that they want to pay, maybe they should hire more cashiers. Lucky for us our cashier of the night lily is pretty darn fast so kudos to her.

This location is always clean, stocked up & friendly workers!
So much better than the previous location. I don’t shop there regularly but I’m there enough.

Great store but sometime the line gets extremely long. There will only be one register open and ten people waiting to check out. Not cool!!! Aside from that its a great store!

Decent sized store with a good variety. Yes, there are some items you can get cheaper elsewhere, but some items you can’t. Just like at any other store. I didn’t want to drive all around town so I stopped here. They do need more cashiers, that’s my only gripe. Overall the store is pretty clean and you can find what you need.

No membership dues, most brands available at the mega superstore are available here, in a more compact warehouse & smaller quantities.
This particular one is in a smaller, less busy area.
Good deals on seasonal products, best deal on paper goods particularly party supplies –a HUGE assortment in terms of quality, size or quantity (that is good enough for a party or for your own restaurant!)
Larger supply of fresh produce, but I think the prices are comparable or equal to other grocery stores — I was hoping for cheaper.
Good for meats and meat products.

For a bulk store this place is expensive, I don’t see any savings at all. I would rather go to Costco. But this is close to the house and I would rather go here than Ralph’s across the street,

It’s A Ok. Not awesome but good for the neighborhood.

They would have had more stars but I couldn’t tolerate the number of wild kids running loose in the store. There should really be laws about this, first of all it’s unsafe to have them running around banging into people and products. Secondly, it’s annoying to those of us who didn’t bring our kids and are trying to concentrate on not missing stuff on the list.
The store itself is awesome, nice aisles, plenty of product, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Ok, just read the other reviews and hopefully the store manager will also, the only thing keeping this place from five stars is the location I guess… someone else mentioned the beggars outside the store. Which I didn’t see. Anyway, i guess this location has a few issues.
As I said, friendly staff, lots of room in the aisles, super clean store. Except for the screaming, distracting kids and their lame parents who ignored them, an awesome place.

Smart & easy! I love shopping at this store. It’s new, clean and it pretty much fulfills 90% of my shopping list for my home bakery! There’s just one big problem, the beggers outside the store. They harass you as you go in and leave the store. Ok, sure an occassional bum or beggar when you’re out & about is one thing, but I shop here weekly and it gets old. Oh, belive me the variety of loiters is interesting, we have a guy playing guitar, an older woman who always wears hats, a young woman, they’re all shape, colors and sizes. Either way, there’s always someone there. Plus, they’re rude, pushy and demanding. They demand you walk over to the bench and donate something to them.
If the store was bum free, I’d give it another star.
