A-1 Fumigation

This Message is for everyone who gave a one star to the company just because their house got broken into.
The company is very clear about protecting your property, calling the local police department, taking all you valuable items, etc. The foreman’s who deal with the owners are licensed and have a state clearance. Id a owner does not feel comfortable in any way they need to stay with the crew the whole time and meet with them when they certify the property. It’s sad that people are getting their house broken into but this happens every minute, especially now and yes with a tarp over it, the house attracts more negative attention.
Fumigation companies recommend the owners to camp out and protect their homes.
I feel more owners should inform themselves more about how the fumigation takes place not just jump into conclusion.

My sister recently got a job done by A-​1 and her house got broken into on the last day it was tented. Her landlord is the one that booked this company and I am in no way saying that the company was involved with my sisters misfortune or that it was an INSIDE job but by reading all off these reviews it’s safe to say that it is very shady. I understand that fumigation of one’s home can be a target but if a company has 5 out of 8 reviews indicating that thier home was broken into by A-​1 fumigation seems very obvious. Once again very clear I am not blaming the company but personally I wouldn’t call on them anytime soon or if I did I would make sure I will have something waiting for the burglar.

I had a great experience w/​this company. They are organized, efficient and have great customer service. They take pride in their work and made sure I was happy with everything. I highly reccommend!

Would definitely recommend using this company. Had a great experience with their customer service and the guys in the field. They were so nice in answering any questions I had and made sure I was satisfied with the work being done. Great company!

We had a very large house and these guys did a great job. They were on time on every occasion they came out, fast and efficient. The site guys, both Roberto and Andreas, were polite and quick in dealing with estimate, the work and educating us on what needed to be done on our part. Fumigating your house sucks. The bagging of the foods, uncertainty of safety, etc., but when it has to be done it has to be done. I have read other reviews and the comments about things being stolen and security is something you just have to deal with. In our case we set the alarm after they were done inside at the beginning of fumigation, alerted our security company (who did constant drive bys) and then turned the alarm off when they were ready to go back inside after the weekend. Their price was fair and I would highly recommend them to anybody who asked.

My sons house got broken into this weekend while being tented. They ransacked and robbed the house. Police are there now getting fingerprints. There were cameras at the park behind there house. Hopefully they will catch the scumbags. It could of been done before they fumigated or after. They took some priceless memories that can not be replaced. This needs to be righted or people will not trust companies to fumigate. Bad for business. I see on Unilocal that other people have been robbed.

I would not recommend this company! My house was broken into during the fumigation! They trashed our bedroom and took many valuables! We had people watching the house all weekend and live in a very safe friendly neighborhood! We think it was an inside job. If you are getting your house tented my advise to everyone is– do not trust anyone! Watch them put everything up and wait at your home till the workers leave themselves! Stay close, like next door or even go as far as to renting an RV and camping outside! These people are shady and know when to break in!

I had a great experience with them. They are the best! Other companies were too expensive and on top of that lazy. A-​1 Fumigation was the only one that was thorough during the pre-​evaluation compared to the other 3 companies that stopped by to give me a quote, so I picked them. They even check underneath the house and everything while the others said no they dont do that. uhhhh? I recommend them. I did not have any bad experiences whats so ever. I dealt with a man named Roberto and recommend dealing with him. He gets it.

Got robbed during the fumigation process I don’t blame the company but i want future customer be ware

I live in an apartment building which was recently tented by this company. My garage was robbed in the process, and in all the years I’ve lived in LA, I’ve never had any type of robbery. My landlord neglected to ask me for the key to my garage lock and I assume that A1 sawed my lock off because we were told that they were entering all garages. My landlord called me the day they finished the tenting to tell me that there was no lock on my garage. How could that be? It was on there prior to the tenting. When I called A1 and spoke to the manager, his story didn’t jive. He told me that there was no evidence of any foul play (i.e. tenting was not cut), and, he said that the fumigation company never needed to enter my garage! This doesn’t make any sense. He admitted that they sawed off at least one other lock but claimed that they never touched my lock. If you put 2 and 2 together, it doesn’t make any sense. Not accusing, but something is fishy. I asked the manager to find out from his crew if anyone had entered my garage and he never called me back.

I’m changing my rating since it’s been about a month and already there are a sizable number of small black biting bugs in our house although we have two pets with full flea/​tick/​etc protection. For all the trouble we went through with the tenting, something clearly went wrong.
Also, our house got robbed in the process, and I’d say our city is very safe. Crime rate is relatively low except for theft in the auto square, but domestic robbery is very rare. I’m not going to be so bold as to blame this company for the robbery, but future customers beware.
