All my life I’ve listened to what my dentist recommended when it came to doing things to my teeth. Fillings, crowns, bridges were all recommended over the years and luckily, I’ve always had good dentists and things worked out okay. But for the first time in my life (and I’m nearly 70) today I felt like I was truly in control of the decision taken to what was needed for my teeth. The technology in Dr. DiRe’s office allowed for that. This afternoon when Dr. DiRe conducted the comprehensive review of the status of my teeth, he used some amazing technology that showed me views of my mouth I’d never seen before. The 3-​D images of my entire head, a number of different x-​ray angles of my jaw and teeth, along with several color photos of my teeth and mouth — enabled me to see for the first time what my dentist was seeing. Dr. DiRe’s thorough explanation of my dental status, including a medical soft-​tissue review for cancer screening was immensely helpful for me, not only to feel confident about what was really going on in my mouth (I could actually see it), but also for the first time, understand the meaning of what my dentist was trying to tell me. For example, Dr. DiRe pointed out a tooth toward the back of my mouth that was slightly cracked from a years-​old silver filling and had leeched into the surrounding tooth causing a discolorization of the enamel. Worse, I could see the unacceptable gap between the slightly cracked tooth and my back molar, that with bacteria build-​up would eventually cause me to need a crown, not only on the tooth with the silver filling, but also the adjacent molar. The real benefit of the technology is, I didn’t have to blindly rely on what my dentist was telling me. For the first time, I was able to actually SEE what the situation and evaluate what needed to be done. Dr. DiRe didn’t have to tell me what was needed — I was able to see it for myself. And thus I felt the decision to have an onlay crown procedure next week was MINE, not because the dentist told me it was needed, but because I COULD CLEARLY SEE it was needed myself. The technology in Dr. DiRe’s office allowed me to see clearly everything from all angles, consider the alternatives, make my own evaluation and make my own decision of what needed to be done — because of what I SAW versus what I was TOLD. That made all the difference and I walked out of his office with a sense of control, a sense that I was the true decision-​maker, and most importantly, a sense of genuine confidence that what was going to be done was clearly the right thing to do.

Do yourself a favor and look up the word ‘Excellence’ because Dr. DiRe Dentistry exudes excellence in every sense of the word. I’ve been going to see Dr. DiRe since I was in elementary school and there’s a reason why I’ve never strayed after 20+ years. His staff is the most welcoming, courteous, and hospitable team of people who strive to be the best in their art without sacrificing the the personal connection with each of their patients. I recently went through the process of getting veneers and I could not be more amazed with the ease and professionalism Dr. DiRe and co. brought to this process — the communication regarding the pricing, process, and referral was clear and flexible depending on my preferences. They worked around my schedule to make sure everything went smoothly throughout the process and made me feel comfortable during dentist visits. I can’t imagine going to or even think about going to another dentist. I’ve grown up with this dentist and they really make me feel like family when I walk through the door.
I would highly recommend that everyone go to DiRe dentistry and be sure to tell them I said ‘hi’ when you do :-)

This was my first dentist when I moved to the Seattle area and I was extremely disappointed. I ended up finding a new dentist after just 3 appointments (1 consult /​2 regular visits). Leading up to the first visit, they said that I needed all of these X-​rays and other scans. I had just gotten these taken by my previous dentist (6 months prior) so I asked them if I could transfer the records instead of doing it all over again. I also called their office to confirm that these would not come at an exorbitant cost to me, only to be reassured that insurance would cover the cost and I needed to have these done. Well, following my appointment, I got a rather um large bill from my insurance. After speaking with my insurance company, they said these were unnecessary and used the same billing code within a short period of time and I would have to pay out of pocket. I followed up with Dr. DiRe’s office and they fought me and were extremely unhelpful. I ended up having to go back to my previous dentist to have them explain to me the billing codes and why they shouldn’t have taken these photos /​scans /​x-​rays if they were just done recently. Mind you, my PREVIOUS dentist. After fighting with Dr. DiRe’s office they finally agreed to remove the charges.
I was willing to move on and forget all of this since they made it right in the end, even if it did cost me time and energy. My next two visits were what pushed me to find a new dentist. The dental hygienist I was assigned to work with was very unwelcoming and self-​proclaimed «not a morning person.» Hmmm — great! I have a job, so I always like to do the first appointment possible, so she was never very engaging or helpful and seemed agitated during my visits. The final thing was that (because I like to come in at the first appointment) Dr. DiRe was NEVER there. When the hygienist would wrap up she would say: «Dr. DiRe isn’t in yet, so you are good to go.» After my first consult, I never saw the actual doctor. Even if I booked the first appointment with my previous dentist, they would always be there. And that was the end of that!

Dr. Dire has all the latest equipment. The office is large and well located. I guess this is why
he can charge some of highest prices in the Bellevue Wa area.

I am one of those people who doesn’t like pain. You know, I’m one of THOSE people. If you’re like me and pain is not your friend, I think you will like the service you get from this dental office.
I originally went to this office because it’s the closest dentist office to my work and I had a previous dentist mess up my bite to the point that it hurt to chew. I worked with Dr. Wu, he fixed my bite and I’m pretty happy with everything I’ve experienced so far.
I felt comfortable with the office staff and would highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. DiRe for years. I was reminded how great his practice is when I tried another dentist closer to my home in Seattle that just wasn’t as good. I thought staying local was important, but it doesn’t compare to having a dentist you trust.
The staff is great, the environment is comfortable, he gives very practical and reasonable advice, and the office has the equipment to handle complicated procedures on sight.
I couldn’t recommend them more.

The entire family has been using Dr Dire for years. Never a problem. Very accommodating to those who are uncomfortable seeing a dentist.
