Most of us want to remain in our own homes as we grow older. But when age, illness or disability makes performing household tasks and personal care difficult, remaining at home can become a challenge.

Family Resourceh provides home care, home health, and care management for seniors and adults, and support and respite for families. Home care services include homemaking, companionship and personal care. Home health services include skilled nursing care and nurse delegation.

We have been providing home care in the greater Seattle area since 1996 and have served thousands of families.

We are a licensed Washington State Home Care and Home Health Agency; our caregivers are our employees and are insured and bonded.

We will provide a free assessment at home, our in a hospital, clinic, or other care facility.

We accept private pay and long-​term care insurance.

History

Established in 1996.

Family Resource Home Care began in 1996 providing geriatric care management. As we worked with families dealing with the emotional and practical complexities that often accompanies aging, we saw the growing need for home care services based on a social services, not a medical, model.

Since then, we have experienced steady and sometimes rapid growth. In 2003 Family Resource Home Care was recognized as one of the premier businesses in Seattle with the awarding of the City of Seattle’s Mayor’s Small Business Award for Business Excellence. Recognition also came in 2003 and 2004 with awards from the Puget Sound Business Journal as one of the top 100 growth businesses in Washington State.

David L.

Business Owner

David Lawrence provides leadership not only for Family Resource Home Care, but on a statewide level. He is a founding board member of the Washington Private Duty Association and currently serves as President. He is an advisory board member of the University of Washington’s Certificate Program in Gerontology. David continues to be a «hands-​on» owner and CEO, helping grow Family Resource Home Care to the largest provider of private duty home care in Washington State.
