Great customer service. Very honest and not too pricey. They do take a lot of time on the vehicle. But it is because they want to make sure it’s done correctly and safe to drive away. Thank you for the great service.

Honest, professional and fast. This AAMCO made a big difference in feeling great about a repair shop. My 2007 Chrysler Aspen had been having transmission related problem since 7,000 miles into it and been to the Dealerships 11 times and never fixed by them. I even caught the Dealership in a lie, so it wouldn’t be under a factory warranty. My problem was solved by some diagnostic time and a shift sensor. Thank you!

Worst expericence ever. They try to charge you nearly 2 – 3 times more than others do. I would recommend for shoping around, even if you’ll have ask towing company to move the vehicle. It worths doing it.

These guys are clowns. I had an appointment for 8:30 in the morning. I dropped off my vehicle before they opened — wrote a note and put my key into the drop box. 3 hours after they open, no call. I call to ask what the story is. They have no idea, take my number down and say they will call me. One hour later — no call, so I call back — different person, but still no idea about my car. 30 minutes later — no call. I call them and tell them to leave my car alone and I will pick it up.
If you are looking for customer service, attention to detail and the reassurance that the people you are saying know what they are doing, avoid the AAMCO in Bellevue.

I went to these guys for a seized transmission. I had no problems with the installation and they payed for towing. Overall the service was good and the mechanics are approachable. Regular customers receive discounts for more regular repairs such as brake or suspension work.
I was never happy with the transmission that they installed in my car. I had difficulty shifting into first and reverse gears. Shrugging it off as a break-​in necessity I waited until my warranty was nearly up to complain about it. Instead of addressing the problem at hand they looked for other mechanical problems with the car. They informed me that I needed a new axle and replaced it (this was a legitimate repair, I knew there was a leak from the axle and this didn’t come as a surprise to me). They also noted my exhaust and shocks which were in need of replacement. They did not however address the problem that I brought the car in for. They wanted me to drive around more and see if the new axle corrected the problem or perhaps they used the wrong transmission fluid the first time. I am not ignorant of mechanical problems and the axle had nothing to do with my complaint. The problem is either an internally misaligned gear or a synchronizer ring (both requiring a transmission rebuild). I told them as much and they gave me the run around instead of covering a costly repair under warranty.
I have not returned to complain about the transmission again as it’s out of warranty and I’ve learned to «deal with it.» After paying three thousand dollars in parts and labor I would have expected a transmission that felt like new the day I drove my car home. I do not know what their out-​of-​warranty policy is and I haven’t attempted to find out. I’m not a pushy person and I didn’t have a lot of free time during the warranty period due to military service. Perhaps if I had a different temperament I would have forced the issue and would be happier with their work. I’ll write them a letter and inform them of my dissatisfaction; perhaps something will come of it. I’ll update as appropriate.
