First time coming to the store today, I went with my wife and kids. My wife was looking for clothes for an interview and shoes for the kids. The selection was not great most sizes were small to medium they don’t carry much large. Men’s clothing is basically non existent. Needless to say I won’t be back, my wife will for cheap kids clothes and maybe a few other bits. The staff were friendly enough especially the lady at the fitting room. The manager could learn something from her staff and smile more! She had a face on her like she was sucking lemons while serving us.

dd’s Discounts was yet another lowered price clothing and home fashion retailer that I just recently encountered for the first time(1÷11÷16). It isn’t any wonder that this Bell Gardens store has the look and feel of a typical Ross: dd’s Discounts is a subsidiary of Ross. I don’t shop for women’s clothes here or at Ross so I can’t comment on that. That being said, I’m a fan of dd’s Discounts for their prices particularly for toddler clothes that are just going to wear out fast or get dirty anyway. A few home items were good too. Here are some examples: 2 qt. clear glass casserole dish w/lid = $ 5.99 Hello Kitty backpack = $ 3.99 velvet flocked hangers(18/pack) = $ 7.99 light-up Frozen toddler tennis shoes = $ 14.99 Our two toddlers wear out shoes like no one’s business. I picked up three pairs all under $ 8 each. They are adorable. Not like any that I have seen. Wide width. Easy to put on/take off. THISPARTICULARLOCATION This location has a small, shared parking lot. But it’s never been packed when I drove by at all hours of the clock. You shouldn’t have trouble finding it with that humongous sign out front. The employees are all nice, but a bit robotic towards customers and super gossipy to each other. That doesn’t bother me. I just don’t get the whole«take your receipt» yourself deal. I know it’s right there for me to grab, but it’s there for the employee to grab too and hand to me. Why? So they ensure that I grabbed it myself? I later found out all dd’s do this. But does that mean I have to put new paper in the printer if it runs out on me? It’s the little things that piss me off sometimes. It’s mostly organized. As clean as it could be by Ross/dd’s standards, I guess. The pickings are SLIM for all of the departments. Men’s department especially. TIP: Just like at Ross, you have to carefully examine your merchandise. I always recommend trying items on… dressing rooms looked typical for Ross/dd’s. I line the store I went on 07÷22÷15 at 12:29, went it was time to pay there was a cashier assoc# is 444627 she was ringing up a lady and she called next and she hadn’t even finish giving the change to the customer, and she is calling next. That’s rude. call next when the customer is leaving the counter. She has a bad attitude so when it was my turn she didn’t even gave me my receive I had it to pull it out of the machine. Bad cashier. I’m one, but I like to feel the customer like there at home to welcome them back. That girl made me feel not welcome. not going back to the store. She had her attitude one me just because she call out next I didn’t go until the customer in the counter left…

I went in today to see what’s up. It’s a new store in the city of Bell Gardens. I have visited 2 other DD’s, and this one looks the same as those. Everything is sorted out the same. It’s a nice cheap store. You see a lot of ladies from BG shopping here with their ANNOYING kids who they don’t control. That’s not the store’s fault though. It still smells like new! Prices are cheaper than Ross. Check it out for yourselves :)
