QualTech is my go to for any kind of maintenance that my car needs. The prices are great, they are thorough but quick, and their staff is great. I’ve recommended QualTech to several people and will continue to do so. My business will not go anywhere else.

Billy has an amazing operation here. One of Austin’s fastest growing companies, this business is built on service and love. Anyone can repair a car. But not just anyone can make you feel so at home. At Qualtech, they’re honest, so no worries about being ripped off. They’re friendly and great with remembering names. They’re courteous and they ask the right questions. Their focus on a long term relationship means they don’t try to upsell you on something that you probably don’t need yet. Their turnover of staff is minute, so the employees have been there for years, and that says a ton. I highly recommend that you try them out.

Great customer service and mechanics. My hubby wanted to save money on having our rear brakes and rotors replaced and they allowed him to bring in parts he bought and they installed them saving us $ 100 over what we normally would’ve paid and we got better parts. The best thing was that the job only took two hours it was super quick and they have a great waiting room. They also did my state inspection. They worked on my dodge 05 Durango.

Wow! After my Mom was told at one of the local «oil change joints» that they needed to change her water pump for $ 645, we said «no thanks» and took the vehicle here for a second opinion. They charged $ 45 to pressure test the system and no problems. Saved my Mom $ 600!!! New customer for life! Hard to find honest folks in the car repair business sometimes. These guys are great!

This is my second review for Qualtech… but the first was for their 620 location.
Qualtech in Bee Caves continues in their fine tradition of honest, ethical and expedient automotive repair.
Our work truck suddenly bit the dust… the rear end needed a huge rebuild and we needed to be back on the road quickly. Within 24 hours they had the work done and has us back on the road.
Like most of you, I often loathed taking my car to the mechanic… Many times, you hear about additional or very detailed repairs that are needed… guess what… it isn’t often the case.
Qualtech proves this time and time again. They do not trump up a list of defects to write a bigger ticket, they do not over charge for the work being done… they tell it like it is.
Quick story… I have another vehicle that will likely need a new engine… right now there is a tapping sound and my 10 year old truck sounds like a diesel. Rather than tell me doom and gloom, their crew advised that while I can repair the issue, I’d be well on the way to new motor cost wise. So we agreed to treat the issue and wait it out. ANY other shop would have sold me on the repairs to make a quick buck, and in 9 months, I would than need a new motor anyway and would have spent thousands extra. Not Qualtech… with their guidance, we have a plan, and that plan is saving me 1500.00 which will be spent when the motor quits.
Give them a try. you will not be disappointed… I confidently recommend them to everyone I can, because, i have experienced the other side.

I have been here several times and the service here can’t be beat! They don’t take more jobs than they can handle, and are very efficient. They have always been accurate with time and COST projections. They are very honest and one time my car ended up being less than my quote and they saved me money! They’re prices are very competitive and they do quality work. Highly recommend.

My car broke down last night on a back road, no street lights and had no idea what was wrong. David, from Qualtec stopped to help me. He was very kind and conscientious of my situation, being alone on the side of the road. He took a look at my car, gave me some ideas as to what was wrong with it then followed me to the closest shop, making sure I made it sate. He then made sure I was taken care of next day.
They are all honest, follow up and make sure they have been taken care of you. I will always take my car here and am very thankful for David…

Quality customer service. Justin is super helpful! Took my car there to figure out possible electrical issue but didn’t occur while there, they examined my car and didn’t charge me anything just to look at it while in their custody. Added bonus: car shuttle service!

I can’t say enough about the guys at QualTech. We simply won’t go anywhere else. They are honest, provide quick turnaround, and priced fairly. My thoughts aren’t based on one or two visits. I’ve been going to the 620 shop for years and now I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Bee Caves shop too. I constantly recommend these guys to everyone!

Great service and integrity. Terry, in particular, exhibits an outstanding ownership attitude — QualTech needs to hold on to this guy.

Last month I took my Pilot into the Honda dealership and they told me that my tires were out of alignment. They were going to charge me $ 100 for this, so I opted to head home and price shop around. That same week I received a coupon in the mail from QualTech for a $ 69 alignment. Perfect, I thought, and made an appointment to take my car in the following week. When I arrived the facility was nice and the staff was very friendly. They honored my appointment time and immediately started working on my car. After test driving the car and thoroughly examining things they determined that only one of the tires was slightly out of alignment. They realigned this particular tire and at check-​out they told me that there was no charge. What an honest and kind company! I now find it hard to trust the Honda dealership mechanics. My family will definitely be taking our vehicles into QualTech in the future!

Yesterday I visited Qualtech after a call to Terry the day before. I had visited another mechanic in the area but left with an uneasy feeling about what they were recommending and how they were trying to sell all I «needed». After meeting with Terry and looking at my truck, there was work to be done but Qualtech’s price and integrity made them the obvious choice. I would highly recommend them and the shuttle service made getting to and from work all that much more convenient.

QualTech Automotive is amazing! We were stuck in the unfortunate situation of needing to replace the head of our RV’s engine while we were traveling in it. Everyone at QualTech went out of their way to make things easier for us and keep us up-​to-​date on the repairs. They do an excellent job and truly care about their customers. In fact, when we had some other repairs that needed to be done on our RV, we actually considered driving 900 miles to have them do the work! (If our RV would have been able to drive 900 miles, we would have done it.) You’re in good hands with QualTech!

I just had the best experience at QualTech in Bee Cave. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Terry welcomed me, shook my hand, got my information, and told me to have a seat and they’d be done with my car in no time. In a few minutes he came back and said that my inspection was due (I wasn’t even paying attention), and that my air filter was in need of replacing. He also said that I needed a synthetic more expensive oil but QualTech buys it in bulk so they have a lower price than normal. 30 minutes later, I had my 40K checkup, an oil change, tire rotation, a new air filter and an inspection all for under $ 100. And they even filled my windshield wiper fluid tank! Good automotive shops are hard to find. I’m officially a QualTech Lifer!

I can’t say enough about this place! My husband, 17month old, our two dogs and I broke down near QTA on Christmas Eve. We were about an 1.5hrs from my parents’ home in the Hill Country and were desperate. I walked along 71 hoping that someone would be open at 8am on Christmas Eve and, sure enough, QTA was! When I walked in and explained the situation they immediately volunteered to grab oil and drive me back to our car in their company vehicle.
Once we were able to drive our car back they looked at the car, explained to us the way in which our recent oil change in Houston was botched, made the necessary repairs, spoke to the manager of the shop in Houston all the while allowing my 2 dogs and my toddler to run around the lobby area.
Terry, the manager, and his employees explained everything to us along the way. He offered ongoing help and advice as we now navigate the repair negotiation process with the shop in Houston and to top it all off — THEY DIDN’T CHARGE US! I can’t tell you what a blessing it was to have QTA when we needed them most and I feel a large sense of indebtedness to them for taking such great care of us. If you’re living in the area and looking for a place to bring your car, DO NOT HESITATE! Great people!

This place is awesome, while I was waiting for my girlfriend to get off work I wondered around the area. I knew I needed my oil changed so I came across Qual tech. This place is amazing. They invited me in with open arms, got my oil change done and told me about a problems with my radiator and offered some solutions on how to fix it. Finding a good mechanic is hard these days but I am willing to drive the distance for an awesome mechanic at this place.

We have 3 cars and have brought all of them to Qualtech since we moved to Austin 18 months ago. They are very honest and get your car fixed right the first time. We have a Lexus, a old pickup and a old maxima.
They were able to fix something on our maxima that no one has ever been able to fix. In fact they did the same thing with our pick up… You can trust these highly trained mechanics…

They really are great people who care about their customers. I didn’t feel like «just a number» how many other auto care places make you feel. They truly respect their customers. I won’t go anywhere else. They KNOW customer service.
UPDATE: No longer will I go here. A specific employee gave terrible customer service when I was given bad news; instead of listening to my frustration which I severely expressed was not with him but with the whole situation he decided to be defensive and tell me I was not reacting correctly. He knew he was in the wrong and tried to back peddle but ended up repeatedly putting his foot in his mouth to the point that it was uncomfortably awkward. He then began to make up for it by offering to come pick my car up from my place of work to fix an issue they did not fix correctly in the first place. I was unable to give my car up right away but I did call shortly after to let them know when they could take my car. I left a message twice with two different people and never got a call back. Incredibly disappointing. I really did enjoy this place prior to this.

I cannot stress enough how good QualTech is. I have been taking my cars to Curtis since the north location was still Kurt’s Automotive. I was extremely pleased to find that Curtis stayed on as the floor manager as I can trust him to the end of the earth. Despite the fact the he is now exclusively at the Bee Cave location I can attest that the service up north is still just as good.
What makes their service great? They never try to sell repairs you don’t need, and the service they do is quick, affordable and, best of all, done right every time.
They get a five star review and my never ending loyalty.

I love the no nonsense approach these guys have.
