The service is slow at the pharmacy. And forget about calling, you’ll wait on hold forever! They are nice but service is slow and again, I’m talking just about the pharmacy.

This is one of the best Walgreens I’ve been to. It’s clean, organized, and the staff members are helpful and kind. Two of the ladies I’ve encountered in the cosmetics department are so nice. I use the pharmacy as well and have no issues. Yeah, sometimes there can be a wait, but it depends on the time of day. One of the pharmacists concerned me with her lack of knowledge on a common yet new to me prescription, but I’ve only seen her once and hoping she was filling in for the day.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for a very long time out of loyalty, and location. The pharmacy staff is very friendly and they are always working super hard. But by golly, they just need some more employees! I’ll be honest… every time I sit in the drive through line it is at least a 20 – 30 minute wait for a pick-up only. They’ve usually got my Rx ready quickly when ordered by the doctor, but actually getting someone to wait on me is another story. Not because they aren’t doing anything, but just because they are working the inside register and the drive through line. It’s a wee-bit frustrating, but I give them props for working their tails off. On the plus side, Walgreen’s sends me text message reminders when I am out of my regular Rx’s, they take my insurance, you can get a flu shot on site and they send me text messages letting me know when my meds are ready to pick up in store.

There is only one good worker here, I think her name is Cheryl. She is a great worker, nice, funny, kind, respectful, literally everything good you should expect from a pharmacy. My family and I have been going here for about a year. Yes, their wait times were long, but we thought it would be a big pain to transfer our perscriptions. I’ll explain later why we ended up switching, but first I want to address some of their many issues. #1. They are always packed. They don’t move their customers fast enough so there’s almost always a line that takes at least 15 minute. It’s no better than the drive thru, people will be waiting there for 15+ minutes with only one car ahead of you. Unbelievably slow. #2. They act like they don’t care about you. They are always rushing you, but it is them who are slow. They just want to get you in and out, they don’t care about anything other than you buying their stuff. No smiles, no greeting(usually just ask your name), no thank you(if they do it’s mumbled and halfhearted anyways) and they make you feel like you are bothering them, like they have more important things to do. The main lady pharmacist is no better. #3. Lack of organization. They say to wait 30 – 60 minutes when it’s usually 2 hours. There’s so many of them in the back running around and into each other it’s embarrassing. Those are the main reasons I was thinking about switching, but it wasn’t until last week I did it. I called because my prescription wasn’t ready, and their information was totally incorrect. Long story short, they claimed I got the most recent prescription from one doctor when I knew I had gotten it from another. I was on hold with them and my doctor for a total of 3 hours, the doctor even said she didn’t prescribe me that recently and the pharmacist still argued with me saying the doctor must be lying. The guy I spoke to on one of my many calls(he had an accent, possibly Indian) was terrible. He was condescending and sarcastic, saying things such as ‘wow, you must really need this medicine’. It was freaking birth control, I’m not withdrawing! He made me feel like I was a POS. He put me on hold and then hung up on me. I ended up talking to the store manager and he told me that I was right, it was the doctor I thought. I was so mad after this call, I called Kroger on Main and have been going there ever since. They actually care about their customers, they aren’t just another prescription ID number.

I stopped going to Walgreens and CVS pharmacies years ago but my doctor sent me to to get a coupon for one of my drugs and Walgreens had the best offer. I called this pharmacy and immediately noticed their excellent customer service. They took care of transferring my prescription from another pharmacy and when I went to pick it up, I was treated so kindly by both the tech and the pharmacist who came to the drive thru window to go over the medication. A friendly smile and willingness to help goes a long way with this customer, so thank you.

I’ve used a bunch of pharmacies in the HEB area, trying to find one that’s competent since I moved here. This is the absolute best one. Anytime I need to fill an odd prescription, they seem to have the medicine when no one else does. It’s easy to ask questions and be treated like a human being, which is a tall order to fill sometimes. Their pharmacy is fast and friendly with the ability to help with complicated situations, as all pharmacies should be, but sadly really aren’t. Awesome team in the pharmacy– VERY pleased! The floor staff is great too. They are also really friendly. I like the group right now– very competent in all that they do. Kudos on a good team and a store I am comfortable in!

They couldn’t fill my prescription and they referred me to a competitor pharmacy. Wouldn’t even give me the option for them to order the prescription for me.

Super slow! This pharmacy is ridiculous! They always give me times when my prescriptions will be ready(30 minutes, an hour) and it doesn’t matter because when I get there it’s not ready! My prescription yesterday was sent in by my daughters pediatrician at 3:30 and when I got there at 4 they told me to come back at 5:30. The prescription was written wrong so they couldn’t give it to me(and they were barely trying to fill it when I got there at 5:50) BUT if they would have filled it when they were suppose to, they would have had time to call my pediatrician before they closed and gotten it situated! My pediatrician called them ASAP this morning to fix it and I waited an hour to call and they said«give us 30 minutes» I don’t know why I expected anything more from them.

Slowest. Pharmacy. EVER. It’s a busy store so they *should* have more than 1 – 2 people working. I’ve tried the drive-thru as well as walking in. It doesn’t matter, you will still wait a minimum of 20+ minutes on a prescription that has already been called in. There’s a CVS a block away so I plan on transfering all my prescriptions and hope they are more efficient.
