Yopop Frozen Yogurt

Love it! First time here was a couple weeks ago and now I’m hooked. The bubble tea is made on the spot with fresh fruit. Ive never had a smoother, tastier bubble tea. The location is nice, place is clean and customer service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place.

If you are a fan of Korean Patbingsu, check this place out. Tell them to give you a half full cup of shaved ice or else it will be too cold and expensive.

Yogurt is icy, not creamy like I prefer. Toppings are sparse, not much to choose from. Strange atmosphere, hello kitty décor. The cashier was kind. If you are in a bind, stop by… but I’d keep moving if you have the time.

While the frozen yogurt here is good, I’m writing this review because of how I was treated by the ownership. First, like I said, the yogurt is good. To be fair, I love these self-​serve yogurt joints and I’ve rarely if ever have anything to complain about. At this particular establishment, the flavors are good and there is a wide selection. They are not stingy with the sample cups, and the toppings are, good, run of the mill, standards.
Here is where they shine. One night, my enormously pregnant wife and I stumble in to escape a rain storm. It was minutes from closing time and the entire family was out decorating the shop with Hello Kitty paraphernalia. We were the only customers when we came in. As we approached the yogurt machines, the patriarch (I’m assuming, here) sees my wife’s belly and approaches us. He motioned to her belly and asked when we were due in a broken English (I think they were Japanese?). We told him, and he followed up with the gender question. We told him they were twins and they were two boys. This news really excited him. With a huge smile, he congratulated us. I can honestly say his response seemed like he was so purely and genuinely happy for us. His wife (again, assuming) was operating the cash register and missed this whole episode so when we got up to the counter to pay, she asked us the same questions. We again told her the due date, and explained that they were twins. Again, she was genuinely thrilled for us. After we paid, we sat down and started playing a little foosball. Moments later, she approached us with two certificates for a free yogurt. One for each boy, she motioned. It was truly touching. They have always been so kind to us, but this experience was above and beyond. If I ever want a frozen yogurt, I know where I’m going.

This is a great place for froyo! There are lots of comfortable seating, free Wi-​Fi, kid-​size tables, Hello Kitty games and books for the kids, foosball coffee tables, and a wide-​selection of Hello Kitty merchandise. They have a good variety of frozen yogurt and toppings, bubble tea and yogurt smoothies, and more! The owner is a lovely, lively, friendly woman who always makes us feel welcome at every visit.

I didn’t know this place existed until I drove myself over to the Asian Food Center. The girl working the counter was super friendly. I love bubble tea, especially with pearl, but I absolutely hate powdered teas. I asked her which teas were good that didn’t require powder and she recommended to me some of the teas. I ordered the black milk with pearl and she let me control the sweetness of my tea, which was really generous of her because I don’t like my tea milk teas too sweet. The pearls are cooked a little bit too long because they come out mushy and too soft. I wished they had other flavors that didn’t use powder but what can you do?
This place also sells frozen yogurt and offers a ton of flavors and toppings. They also sell hello kitty paraphernalia.

The place LOOKS cute, but that’s where the positive things end.
They didn’t have a milk alternative. I got a matcha green bubble tea. Didn’t taste great, seemed like mostly ice and even had huge chunks of ice at the bottom. Not worth the $ 4 at all. I won’t be back.

nicest yogurt shop owner. They let our group meet there to knit for charity and even told us we don’t need to buy stuff since its for charity. He brought over a few bags for chips for us too.
The yogurt was creamy as it should be and not icy like the other reviews said.
The JASMINE GREEN TEA is made with the espresso machine so it’s stronger than steeping.

I don’t know how frozen yogurt can go wrong, but Yopop had found a way to get pretty close. Sticky machines, icy yogurt, slim pickings on toppings. It was a great place to plug in my phone/​pc – lots of plug-​ins – and had wifi, though…

Yogurt was really icy and didn’t have any flavor. Topping bar was mediocre. The employees were too busy chatting to pay attention or be attentive to customers.

Just fine. Pluses here are that you can try samples without having to ask for a pesky little cup — they’re out and available. Minuses are that they have somewhat less toppings than other places, though I usually just like strawberries and a little chocolate syrup so it was ok with me. Add graham cracker crumbs and I’d like it even more.

Good variety!

This is a cute froyo place in the strip mall. I went here after having dinner with my family in that area and thought it was a cute spot. I desired better yogurt flavors. I sampled a few and the flavors weren’t distinctive, some tasted like others that shouldn’t have tasted the same at all such as avocado and pistachio lol. There were also signs for some dispensers that didn’t dispense because they didn’t have additional flavors.

Couple friends and I stopped by after getting Dim sum. I was extremely happy to find a tapioca place in Portland. My boyfriend got the strawberry frozen yoghurt smoothie and I got a Black milk tea. It took a while to get out drinks but I think it was because they were training a new person. Both our drink were super watery. His was just their plain fro-​yo with strawberries and strawberry boba poppers. The poppers were a pleasant surprise but it was garnished with sprinkles and strawberry syrup. Its cool he wanted to make it fancy but simple is always better. My black tea was horrible. It was super watery. There was walnuts and sprinkles in it. Who drinks tea with nuts and sprinkles!!!
1 star for their drinks, 1 star for how nice the guy was. I feel kinda bad for writing a bad review but goodness, have they never gone to a tapioca express? a quickly? maybe they should just stick to self serve yogurt.

Unpleasant
I showed up 5 minutes before they closed. The cashier was unpleasant and refused to let me pay. She was infuriatingly condescending. How dare I show up before they close to buy frozen yogurt for my wife?

Oh we were very disappointed. Love the location, hoping for good quality froyo, but instead it tasted like they were all made using powders. No real fruit in this yogurt, or if there is, it’s only a tablespoon in a 5 gallon bucket so that they can say «made with real fruit». No I didn’t even think they did that.
Consistency was off too. We left and made the drive over to Yogurt Munch, near Winco by Cornelius pass and Cornel. It is vastly superior.

I am actually surprised this place has good reviews, because my experience was absolutely the opposite. I’m a die hard froyo fan and I am not too picky as long as the flavors and side portions are in good taste.
The froyo was super runny, I even tried letting it pour out a few times to see if it would thicken up– negatory. That’s okay I thought, so I went ahead with my favorite toppings. There is a decent selection of toppings here, but it doesn’t really make up for the lack of quality. Somehow my mochi tasted like something out of an instant noodle type box, how do you mess up on MOCHI? I’ve been to run down froyo establishments and have at least come out with good mochi, not the case here. All three friends were in agreement.
The fruits were lacking in flavor, I don’t know what farm they’re going a pickin’ but it ain’t the place I wanna go. I gave it two stars because of the variety they supply and the place itself is cute in its own way, but that’s me being nice. Quality over quanity please.
Didn’t finish my froyo, my experience was truly ‘meh.’

Loved the location of this place– got it right after on the way home from Benihana. Anyway, the ambiance of this place is really nice. It’s a large place that doesn’t feel crowded and lines aren’t too bad at around 8 PM. I came with the 30% of coupon, so the price was $ 1.93 for 7.7 oz of froyo and toppings (no cup weight).
The froyo was good– much better than the average froyo café. I don’t think it was as good as peachwave, but it was certainly up there with its thick base. I liked one of their flavors in particular: the iced mocha flavor, which I haven’t seen at other places. Cookies and Cream and chocolate were good too. Unfortunately 4 – 5 of their flavors were broken that day, so I didn’t get to eat the peanut butter flavor that I wanted.
The toppings were the standard– fruit, candy, chocolate, sauces. I didn’t take much notice for anything except for the chips: caramel, white, chocolate, and peanut butter, which I loaded on my froyo. I really love the feeling of biting into sweetened chips with the soft consistency of froyo.
So yeah, good experience. I pretty much go around from café to café in terms of froyo since there’s always a coupon for one of them around, so I never have to spend more than $ 2 for an enormous helping.

Great coffee in the morning (coffee from /​staff trained by Longbottom) and fresh yogurt the rest of the time. Other reviews got the machine temp issue right — a few of my pulls were not frozen enough — next time I’l ask which is which!
Free wireless, power for charging iPhone, iPad, and other phones. Power for laptops too.
Nice vibe — don’t let the stripmall location throw you off.

Where this place earns MY five stars is just with their pineapple soft serve and then they have pineapple in small AND big chunks I can dump on it. Have I mentioned pineapple is one of my favorite things?
Oh yeah… the chocolate is pretty good too…
The original tart is nasty though and honestly all the other flavors I have tried I was not impressed with… a few were even runny which is just gross. They never have vanilla and their flavor offerings are never consistent. I have a friend who loves only their avocado which they only had like once so you just really never know what to expect. Also their toppings seem kinda limited for a frozen yogurt place. I might have gotten spoiled in California though since their yogurt places are the bomb.
Their pricing here though is really good and they give out coupons plus punch cards like crazy so ask for those when you go!
