Great setting on the green, been 3 – 4 dozen times and sadly, it’s really slipped. Our last 3 visits were not what we know of Stockpot: 1. We recently had an evening in the lounge, ordered the nachos supreme with beef, burger and wedge salad. The nachos with beef had 1– 1&½ tablespoons of ground beef, very little flavor and toppings. We have ordered this appetizer at least 10 times and it no longer resembles beef nachos, but some chips with a bit of cheese, only beef and jalapeño as a garnish. Guacamole was brown. The burger was dry, over cooked(ordered medium rare, no pink in sight), salad was tasty, but had brown lettuce. 2. Brunch: eggs Benedict used to be great, but lately the poached eggs are hard, had to send back twice! 3. Steaks, poor cuts with gristle and tough as leather and over cooked. Sent it back for one cooked a bit less, but it was tough. Service is pretty ok, old school, but the quality of food is sad and sappy. Not to mention their prices are so high, it’s a small crime what comes out of the kitchen! Time to find a new spot.

Uhhhg… For the money you should go anywhere else!!! The boulabaise tasted like all the seafood was not fresh and the sauce was salty and flavorless. All the seafood was overlooked. Very very disappointing!!! The short ribs my husband got were just an over salted pile of meat on over salted potatoes! It is not worth the $ 30 a plate they are charging. Go somewhere else!

Want to give it a five star and it’s almost there. Love the stuffed mushrooms appetizer.

Came here yesterday, for Valentine’s Day. Absolutely loved it. Steak was perfect. Juicy and so tasty! Stuffed mushrooms appetizer was delicious as well. Drinks were good, I had the Poinsettia — champagne drink. Very romantic and dim inside. Service was exceptionally fast for how busy it was on the Holiday.

My friend and I just left the Stockpot restaurant. We had read the reveiws and was excited to try something new. My friend ordered the French Dip for. $ 16 and I ordered the Beef Stroganoff for 17. $ we both were very disappointed in our meals. my meat was cold. We both would have preferred Dennys over what we had at this restaurant. The service was fast and good but food not good!

The setting of the restaurant is lovely with a great view of the countryclub golf course. Walking in though I smelled this musty odor — that old building smell and was grateful it just seemed in the entrance since that is pretty unappetizing. We were seated fast and immediate at a great table with our friend. Our waitress at first seemed very nice and fast. She was very accommodating for the other two people I dined with who had specific changes on their orders. Later, their orders had onions which they asked to not have so the plates had to go back and she got it fixed but almost seemed annoyed with us about it because suddenly she was hardly around, was a bit punchy in her mannerisms. She made a huge deal out of giving us ONE free desert due to the onion issue — she ended up bringing out two but it was just her choice of wording and mannerisms that were forced seeming and off. I was not really annoyed with her though my friend was definitely moreso. I felt more awkward… The food was great and we do plan to go back for dinner sometime. The portions are very generous and everything was cooked to perfection! Since we were given desert, I tried the Belgian mousse cake… dear lord, eat that… do it… it was pretty incredible. I also enjoyed their spinach salad.

Andy and nick too care of my guest and I like no other restaurant has! They paid attention to detail and made sure that we were taken care of along the whole way. I did not try the the food but it smelled delicious. Their drinks were always poured perfectly and we had a great experience… We will return!

I always enjoy eating here. The wilted spinach salad with bacon vinaigrette dressing is amazing & their lobster bisque is great too. The prime rib is huge.

We showed up at 1130 or so in a Sunday morning. It seems to have a pretty old clientele on a Sunday morn. It goes with the very retro 70s décor. Seriously, I’m 51 and I felt young there. It wasn’t my 12 yr old son either. They have a full bar open during brunch. While I didn’t try it out, it was well stocked, and appeared to be doing a reasonable business. I had shrimp and grits, which was OK. It could’ve used more cheese, more onions, or a touch of chopped bacon or pancetta,(more flavor). The boy had their burger, rare and said it was OK. He said the fries were too salty. I love salty fries, so that’s ok. But they were a bit much for him. Service was pretty good. They kept my water and coffee up pretty well. The food is OK, just not great. Unless I had some other reason to come here, I don’t think I would return.

We come here at least once a month for happy hour and normally it’s quick and the food is good/inexpensive. This time, waitress forgot our order and only noticed after a long time that we were still waiting. She didn’t write it down — and missed when she tried to remember. So, about an hour and 20 before it came, and got it wrong. An extra drink was provided but nobody really wanted one. First miss we’ve had here and they’re usually better. But maybe there are better places when they’re busy. I’m sure we’ll be back but a little more careful with reminding our server next time.

I ordered beef short ribs, the rest of the group ordered King salmon, I wish that I would have as well. The short ribs arrived as a pile of over cooked mush on top of under cooked broccolini on top of pasty mashed potatoes. The Apple salad was delicious, although it arrived with no dressing, water glasses always were full, good rosemary bread. The meal was on a discount card which made the bill easier to pay… it did take the waitress two times to get it right. 20% gratuitous on the full check amount. I’ll be back when I forget about the short ribs!

I came here Saturday night with my friends for dinner before my senior prom. I have to say i will not be coming back. Although it was in a very pretty environment, dinner was extremely overpriced for what we were served. A friend of mine had something I don’t remember what it was called but it was basically a big hunk of meat on a bone that although I thought it was cooked nicely it didn’t have any special flavor to it at all! I had the Thai Prawns off of the appetizer menu that was $ 12, there was literally 5 shrimps, coleslaw and an orange tasting sauce that made me wonder why we didn’t just go get McDonalds instead. Our waitress seemed to be very impatient and rude. I understand we’re a bunch of kids that might get annoying to have to serve, but you should at least show us some respect because we’re paying to eat here. It wasn’t a very pleasant experience for me and that’s just my opinion!

My husband and I went here with his parents over the weekend. We’d never heard of it but found on Unilocal and were impressed by the reviews. The name is a bit off-putting, in my opinion, as is the entrance. We have never been super impressed with restaurants at golf courses so we were a little weary. We didn’t really know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was dim and romantic, nice windows overlooking the golf course. This place is perfect for a special occasion or first date. Staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. The menu had just the right amount of options, great dishes to choose from but not so many that you’re overwhelmed. My Apple salad was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. So delicious. He loved his Caesar as well. Literally, the moment we all finished our salads and they were cleared, the main course was dropped right in front of us. Talk about impeccable service! My short ribs and potatoes were pretty amazing and he said his steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The others ordered the salmon and prawns and were equally pleased. I let the server know it was my husbands birthday and they really went all out. Complimentary champagne was delivered to the table and it was wonderful. They then dropped a sundae with a candle in front of him and we were shocked. How thoughtful. If I had one critique, it would be the wine. Having worked in hospitality for the past eight years, primarily in california wine country, I was surprised that the Syrah we ordered wasn’t chilled. The proper temperature for a white or red is 56 degrees, give or take, and you let the red breathe a bit until drinking so it’s also slightly warmer than what it is stored at, but it should never be delivered at room temp or hotter. Red wine at room temperature is completely saturated and not even worth drinking to me so that was a disappointment. The restaurant itself was quite toasty so perhaps that had to do with it. Otherwise, fantastic experience!

We go here every year for Easter brunch. Big Mike at the meat station is the greatest most cheerful fantastic part of brunch. It wouldn’t be the same without him. The food is pretty yummy some items were cold but I overlook it all because of him. Whoever hired him was right on the money. The service can be slow which is odd because for Easter and Mother’s Day brunch the waitresses don’t serve you just take your drink order and bring your bill. I think often the waitresses and waiters see them selves above clearing dirty plates and one busser for 15 tables is not fair for him or the customers. If you get seated by the window in the lounge prepare for being blinded by the sun. With no shades to draw it can be a very uncomfortable meal.

The setting is beautiful, right next to a golf course. We were seated next to the window. Service was very slow. Slow to take order, slow to fill empty water glasses and slow to serve food. French onion soup was overpriced at $ 6 for a small cup. Soup had green onions and tomatoes, strange and not tasty. Prime rib French Dip sandwich with crispy onion & mushroom was excellent. Fish and chips was a good portion with three pieces of crispy Alaskan cods, cole slaw and fries. Fish was cooked just right, fries were addicting and cole slaw was light and refreshing however without much flavor. All and all it was a good meal. Waitress could use some help. She was overwhelmed.

Consistently good. You just never go wrong with a dinner at Stockpot. Attentive service, top quality products, beautiful presentation, inventive entrees, they make it special every single time.

The restaurant is very nice, the staff pleasant, the atmosphere enjoyable the food not bad. So why only 3 stars you ask? It wasn’t like they did anything wrong, it was just… well… underwhelming. I thought their prices a little high, the taste and presentation were decent though the Kobe Beef burger was dry. The staff like I said was pleasant and attentive, Just the over all impression was ambivalent, maybe even pretentious. I’m sure at some point we will be back, just not going to be rushing it.

We thought it would be nice to sit outside near the golf course with the dog and baby while enjoying a meal. It was nice but the service did take awhile to get to us, once they did things went smoothy. As for the food it was decent but I think a bit high priced as it was very unimaginative and nothing really stood out as being particularly good. Everything was decent but just seemed well, par for the course.

A classic steak and seafood house in the middle of the suburbs. This is next to the Red Tail Golf Course on SW Scholls Ferry and is a old haunt for locals. A lot of blue haired folks here, but they have good taste. Great for large gatherings, too and they can seat you in the bar if you’d like. I’ve been a patron here off and on for years and did spend a few months working here, too. In the summer they used to have live music outside, so if you were playing the 18th hole, you heard some happiness and revelry, not distracting, but fun. I hadn’t been here in a long while and thought I’d pop into the bar for a pint. The bartender’s were changing over and the new guy changed a channel for me. The facts with the lounge, which I recently enjoyed. Low lighting Fireplace Solid TVs – with current listings on, sports, etc. Video Poker Happy Hour was good but a bit confusing. No happy hour drinks on Sun, but they did have Food Happy Hour Monday 3pm — CLOSE ! Great food offerings for happy hour from $ 2.95 — 4.95. I was overwhelmed by the size of my portions for two 2.95 apps. A caeser with side bread and rice paper salad rolls(huge) Hospitable staff, Draft beer offerings are boring, could use an update or a one off rotator at least.
