Paul Brooks Noland, DMD

Dr. Noland is very nice and very knowledgable. He is the first dentist I have had who actually asked if I was in pain when he was cleaning my teeth. He also worked with me on a treatment plan that fit my schedule, needs and insurance. His assistant Manny was very personable and very attentive, he made sure I wasn’t hurting during the x-​Rays. I have had some bad experiences with extractions in the past, I used to go to advantage dental in Medford and the dentist did an extraction that probably should have been done by an oral surgeon. Dr. Noland was very real with me and explained that my wisdom teeth have grown in near a nerve and he would feel better about me going to an oral surgeon for the extractions. I like that he was forward with me instead of telling me he can do something he actually can’t. I would recommend him to anyone. :)

It took me 45 years, but I finally found my Dentist! I am a self admitted wimp when it comes to going to the Dentist. Dr. Noland and his staff (especially Manny) made me feel completely comfortable. I had a root canal a couple of weeks ago and today I had my tooth prepped for a crown-​two very unpleasant procedures that scared me to death.
I don’t know what I was worried about. Obviously Dr. Noland is highly skilled because I have had ZERO pain. Let me repeat– ZERO PAIN. I have never written a review before, but I feel like I need to spread the word. This Dentist is Awesome! He is professional and yet extremely down to earth and you can tell that he truly takes pride in his work.
Please note that his one negative review on here has to do with SCHEDULING not with his skill level. Anyone that runs a business knows that sometimes mistakes can happen. We are all human. Yes, he has a small staff, but that makes it feel more «home-​like» (If you can call a dentists office that) lol! Might I also add that I have NEVER been made to wait a long period of time for an appointment. I was always seen right away. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Noland and you won’t be disappointed!

Yet another win, in finding great people/​businesses thanks to Unilocal!:) I’m thrilled to have Dr. Noland as my new dentist. Yana and Manny are also wonderful. There’s a nice, HUMAN feel here where people seem to actually care about their work and in doing a good job. You don’t find that at all dental offices for sure! Dr. Noland spent a lot of time going over everything in a very understandable way and was very communicative about making sure that his patients are happy with everything that is done in his office. I like his focus on preventive care and look forward to many years of having him as my dentist and hopefully not having to lose my teeth as I get older! :)

Dr. Noland makes dentistry enjoyable. He’s very warm and welcoming, genuinely cares about his patients and loves his work. I had a chipped tooth that had some decay and I was very nervous about getting my tooth taken care of, but Dr. Noland took the time to educate me about my teeth, and his techniques were very gentle. He and his dental assistant Manny were both very nice and were extremely careful to be as gentle as possible throughout the entire process. The finished product looks fantastic and I feel really good about my smile. If you’re looking for the old fashioned hometown dentist that really cares about you as a patient, I highly recommend Dr. Noland’s office.

I recently quit my job and needed to use my dental coverage before it lapsed (not having used it for several years). I went to see Dr. Noland on the basis of Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. Dr. Noland is very pleasant and communicative. He reviewed my insurance prior to commencing any work in order to devise a treatment plan that would take the best advantage of my coverage, explaining issues and options. He is very efficient when performing procedures — I could not believe how much work he accomplished in a space of 4 appointments compared to previous dentists I’ve been to. Finally, he has a terrific staff assisting him. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Noland to friends and /​or acquaintances.

I came to Dr. Noland several months ago with a dental emergency, in enough pain that I was ready to tear my face off. He and his staff took the time to work with me and my insurance to figure out the best treatment plan. Now, the pain is gone, and I’m on the track back to dental health. He is very supportive and understanding. If you’re in need of a new dentist and have been on the fence, I highly recommend Dr. Noland!

Last Thursday, my tooth was hurting because my filling had fallen out from a previous dentist so I googled dentist in the portland metro area and after looking at a lot of reviews, I called Dr. Noland’s office. His secretary was very nice and was able to get me in the next day. May not happen like that all the time maybe i got lucky.
So I get there and it doesn’t look that great outside but my tooth was hurting and the last dentist i went too had a gorgeous office and did a terrible job, so I went in. While I was in the office, I saw the certificates for his dental school and I googled it. Turns out he went to one of the top dental schools in the nation. He is young and there for has learned and uses the most up to date technology in his field. I was reassured.
I had an X-​ray and there was a pretty large hole in my tooth I figured I would need a root canal but he said that I didn’t and he would just medicate and fill the hole and if that didn’t work he would apply what I paid on this procedure to a root canal. I couldn’t loose.
He and his staff where extremely knowledgeable and thorough with the exam and procedure. I have waited a few days to write a review because i wanted to make sure the pain was gone. I am so happy with the work that Dr. Noland preformed and recommend him to everyone.

With having 3 — now 4 teens ranging in dental needs from not so bad to OH GOODNESS what do we do — I was recommended to Dr Noland by a co-​worker that lives near by. I’ll admit, at first I was wondering if he was the Doogie Howser of dentistry, but don’t let looks be deceiving. He gives you options, respects your opinion about your wishes while educating you on both sides (hot topic: Flouride, for one). He is the first dentist that doesn’t try and «upsell» suggesting procedures that are costly and not really necessary. He listens to concerns, and is understanding of anxiety of not just procedures, but costs, and health impacts.
I have EXTREME dental anxiety, but did not have an issue at all, the slightest flinch and Dr Noland made sure i was comfortable. Along with comfort, he is very concerned with safety which also put me at ease, after hooking me up to the nitrous my blood pressure and oxygen saturation were monitored through the procedure. The AMAZING Lori has gone above and beyond in helping us accommodate our schedule, and even got the oldest an appointment with 2 days notice due to an urgent timing constant.
I’m not afraid of going to the dentist due to the cost. The treatment plan for the entire family has been planned out by the staff, priced according to our insurance, and then worked to lower it even further.
Going to Dr. Noland doesn’t make me feel like i’m walking in and paying for his kid’s college educations. He has genuine concern about our family’s well being, and the entire (albeit tiny) staff is warm and friendly. I have NEVER written a recommendation for a doctor or dentist in a positive light, and only felt the need to warn people, but if you’re even near the Beaverton area, I highly HIGHLY recommend calling Lori to make an appointment!

Got a recommendation from a friend because we were looking for a new dentist (old one didn’t take our new insurance). Dr Noland and his staff are fabulous. Not only do they work with your insurance to get you the best prices possible, but they’ll try multiple methods to work around YOUR needs and limitations. Never have I had a dental office do this for me. We’re taking 3 kids and 3 adults to get quite a bit of work done and I am honestly flabbergasted at how little I have to pay out-​of-​pocket. Work seems to be top-​notch as well. Highly recommended.

What can I say… My goodness I have a fear of dental work. I think anyone who had an old dentist has a story. Dr Noland is a young guy. He is gentle and he listens to all my concerns. He took it slow and talked me through it. I liked the upfront office. They do not skirt around the other major issue with denistry. They just shoot from the hip and tell you like it is. If there is a fee, they get it right up front. They did have to estimate what that was because my insurance comes through later. They were pretty darn close. I know that some people just avoid the dentist because of horror stories. Don’t ! Go to Dr. Noland.

I am a nervous dental patient, but Dr. Noland made me feel very comfortable. He is very friendly and explains everything in a way that is informative, but not scary. I needed to have two fillings and was quite nervous. It turned out to be the best dental experience that I have ever had! I did not feel a thing and I was quite relaxed. I highly recommend Dr. Noland and am looking forward to my next check up and cleaning.

Dr. Noland is a tremendous dentist. He is attentive, creative and keeps his patients informed. I ask many questions about my treatments and he has never hesitated to answer all my questions in a very knowledgable way.
Not having dental insurance for many years he took on the challenge and has created a plan that I can afford while still keeping my oral health as the top priority.
I appreciate his delicate techniques, the state of the art technology and his caring and considerate staff. I highly recommend him as a dentist!

Dr. Noland is great. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has that one child who scared to death of the dentist. Dr. Noland made him very comfortable. He no longer forgets his dentist appointments. My whole family goes to see him.
We live in Milwaukie. It’s well worth the trip!
