I brought a pair of jeans with a hole in. I paid for it. They fixed it. I picked it back up. No problems.

Good prices and fast work on three garments: Replaced zipper slider on winter jacket for $ 15. This made it unnecessary to replace entire zipper assembly.
Altered length of new trousers for $ 12.
Modified height of winter hat, a Christmas gift, for $ 12. Now, it doesn’t look too funny.
Seamstress Wendy Keam, was knowledgable and friendly.

We’ve all been there. You bend over, or in my case bend over while in a full leg extension (for absolutely no necessary reason) and Riiiiiiiiiiiippppp! There goes the crotch of your pants! Well there went mine at least. Normally I would’ve chucked them, but these were my 7 jeans, and they were only 6 months old! I thought I’d give it a shot to see if they could be fixed. With a 4−5″ tear not remotely near the seam, I didn’t have much hope. I brought them here to Alterations Unlimited, the owner gave me the price of $ 20 right up front and told me it would take 2 weeks. She said to pay half now, and half when I pick them up. So I did, and she recorded it on a receipt for me to bring back in. I picked these puppies up today and she opened them to show me her work. It took us over 30 seconds to even find where she repaired them!!! They look basically brand new, but a little thicker over the area she fixed to help reinforce the repair work. She could tell I was so happy, and so excited. I got my favorite jeans back! She told me to make sure to come back, and to tell my friends. So here I am, telling you all. This will be the only place I take my alteration needs to from now on! Just an FYI, she’s closed on Mondays :)

I ordered a dirndl on line for Octoberfest and it was about two sizes too big. I read the Unilocal reviews on Alterations Unlimited and decided to take a chance. I was super concerned because the dirndle is lined and sewn to where it looks like its reversable, you don’t even see the inner structure. I wasn’t even sure how they could take it in without being all bunchy and weird. Wow! they completely deconstructed the garment took it in and put it back together. You can’t tell what they did at all and it fit like a glove.

Spent the months ordering a groomsmaids dress and when it arrived in Seattle, eek! So big! I took it back here and Alterations Unlimited was reviewed well so I thought I’d pay Wendy a visit. The wedding was only a month away, but she promised it would be ready the day before we leave. I pick it up Wednesday (leaving Thursday) and WOW! I was blown away by how perfectly it fit! I definitely had the best fitting dress of all of the groomsmaids; length, strap, bodice, it all needed work. Wendy is a genius! She got it back to me with a better hem than before, fitting PERFECTLY and steamed! I rocked the wedding thanks to Wendy! If I were you, I would trust Wendy with all of my future alterations.

I went to Wendy to get my wedding dress altered. She was able to alter it on short notice (2 weeks before the wedding). There was a rush fee, and it was expensive since it was on such short notice and she had so many other wedding dresses to alter, but I am glad she was able to alter my dress. The dress really fit like a glove. It was perfect. She is very good at her job and you can tell by going into her shop that her business is doing very well. The store was very small and Wendy was extremely friendly. She even showed me a few dresses she sewed herself. I will definitely recommend her to others. If you can, bring in what you need altered early to avoid any fees.

Wendy took an impossible job and made my daughter’s prom dress fit beautifully. We were really nervous and knew that it would be a tremendous job considering how much needed to be fitted properly. We gave Wendy some time to work with an A-​line vintage covered in lace, and are very happy with the results. My daughter is so excited to have the dress of her dreams to celebrate with her friends.

My daughter found the perfect prom dress. Unfortunately Macy’s did not have her size. It was cheap and we thought we’d have it altered. So glad we looked to Unilocal for reviews.
Found this place and it was as everyone was saying. Wendy was so nice and friendly. She was up front about the cost and the work that needed to be done.
But the cost was justified. The dress fits perfectly. And my daughter loves it!

I chose Alterations Unlimited because of all the positive reviews about the work that was done on their clothes and most especially the customer experience expressed through most of the reviews. I went to Wendy with a pretty short deadline, certain expectations as well as lots of nerves. I have to say this: I love Wendy! She is such a nice woman and so very sweet! I tell her this wedding is practically in a week and she looks at her full calendar yet still accepts! Yes, sweet. But how well does she do, you ask? She did a wonderful job on not only my bridesmaid dress, but my boyfriend’s jeans! They were tailored perfectly. She is so accommodating! I mean, she closes at six, which is the same time I get out of work. I was worried about not being able to pick up the clothing and she offered to stay open an hour for me! That was very sweet! I would never have asked her to do that and I found a way to pick it up in the end within appropriate hours. It was still very nice of her! The fact remains, she’s been at that same building for about 22 years and with good reason. She gets it DONE!!!

I had a wedding dress that I bought from a knock off shop in China. Big mistake. It was hideous. Wendy completely remade it basically from scratch. It originally had a beautiful lace overlay that she kept, while completely removing the underlay and replacing it. She made it fit perfectly somehow, even though in the beginning it made me look like a box. She’s incredible.
She also hemmed some pants for my husband’s suit and they were fantastic. Pics are in the picture section.

This review is long overdue, but Wendy was so amazing that I still haven’t forgotten!
I was in a wedding this summer and had to order my bridesmaids dress when I was 7 months pregnant. Needless to say the chest of my dress didn’t fit (nursing). We live out of town so I picked up my dress two days before the Wedding. Wendy stayed an hour late so that I could go get fabric at JoAnne’s and bring it back to her. I had absolutely no expectations and was already planning a backup. When I arrived the day of the wedding, I couldn’t believe my eyes… That dress looked and functioned better than it was sewn originally. (Not hard to do being that it came from David’s Bridal… Hate that place!) Wendy was personable, reliable, talented, and an absolute angel in my predicament! Don’t shop around, just go see her! I paid for the short notice, but it was completely worth it!

Wendy was great. She did the alterations on my daughters wedding dress. She had to rebuild the whole bra part of the dress, taking it in two inches on each side. Honestly we were worried when we left after the fitting. Was she going to able to do all that? Wow what a surprise. It fit like the dress was custom made and looked so beautiful. With all the stresses involved in wedding planning it was so nice to have the alterations go so smooth.

I needed to have three pairs of pants hemmed, in a hurry and I feel fortunate to have found Wendy. She was warm and friendly and didn’t seem at all inconvenienced by my last-​minute drop off. The quality of her work was superb and the overall experience was above and beyond my expectations!
She prefers cash over a card, which is fine by me. Just letting you know so you can be prepared.

I’m a young woman, I’m particular about my jeans. Yesterday I brought in a pair of jeans and Wendy had them finished today as promised for $ 12! The seam is extremely well done inside and out, the measurement is precise. After I inspected the job, I went back to my car and handed her my favorite pair of jeans. Now that’s trust! Wendy was very friendly and let my kid pet her dog and ring her customer bell to stay entertained. This place is an easy 5 stars. Pay in cash if you can – it’s nice to be nice to small businesses.

An amazing job fixing my mother’s vintage St. John jackets! They are now perfectly tailored and fitted for my mom to wear again! No messy seams or damages to be found. Thanks so much!

I found this place in Unilocal.They got good reviews, so I gave it try.
I brought a shirts need to be altered. I was told to pick it up in 3 weeks. I went there the date I was supposed to pick up. It wasn’t ready yet. I told her that I don’t live near here, I have to drive all way just pick up shirts. She apologized and gave me a free hemming coupon.
I thought her job was good, not excellent.
It would be ok if it’s simple alteration like hemming pants or skirts. But if I have something good quality clothes need to be altered next time, I don’t use here.

Wendy is AMAZING! I brought her my wedding gown to alter… not only did I need major hemming done, but the hem of my gown had lace on the bottom, which is not an easy feat to re-​attach after taking up the dress. In addition, she had to let out the dress because I am expecting and would be almost 7 months pregnant by my wedding day. She worked magic and altered my dress so it was the perfect length and fit for my growing belly.
She was funny and easy to work with… though the alterations cost more than my gown (though I did get a very reasonably priced gown)…it was well worth the money (especially since my dress was sooo complicated to fix) AND she finished it in less than three weeks! I’m so glad I found Wendy. I will be bringing all of my alterations to her from now on… she is a wizard with a sewing machine, needle and thread! You needn’t look for any other seamstress… Wendy is the best!

Wendy did a fantastic job on the wool coat and 2 skirts I brought her to be taken in.
She also turned around the skirts in a relatively short amount of time so that I could pick them up before I left town for a couple weeks.

Not only did she mend them quickly for a reasonable price, but she reinforced them as well!
Every item I took in had a stress point in the same place where the seams tore. She sewed them to their original look and then reinforced them to strengthen the stress point.
Did I mention that these were all raincoats and coats for my greyhounds?
She had no problem with that. And I’m very thankful. Why? Because during the past summer I had taken these same items to other places to be fixed, and as soon as they saw they were dog coats, they refused to work on them. So I looked on Unilocal and found Alterations Unlimited.
Her work is superior, give her a try, and you will not be disappointed.
