Good spot for a quick bite. The drive thru is a cool feature. Baja fish burrito is a good buy.

We love this place! As cheap as Taco Bell, but WAY better food. Their salsa bar is great, the people are always friendly and have been there for years. Nice to see a place that cares about retaining their employees. We’ve had their breakfast burritos(which you can order all day), tacos, and burritos. All really good and flavorful. Make sure to get an order of guacamole no matter what you get. Oh, and they’re open late! In Beaverton! Look no further for your next fourth meal!

I’d say this place is solid overall. If you want a quick, cheap Mexican fix, then I’d say it’s great. But alas, that’s not the only basis for judging a restaurant. The highlight of my lunch was definitely the carnitas taco. The lowlight was the char-broiled chicken, which was pretty weak on the flavor front. I will say, though, that having the toppings bar to be able to dress it up made it quite okay. That said, I’m a big believer on tacos being able to stand on their own without having to add a bunch of sauces and toppings. I’ll most likely come back here when I’m in a hurry and in the area, but I also will not be going out of my way to come back either. There’s too much competition around(and maybe I’m just downright too picky about my Mexican!)

Big fan of breakfast burritos here. Went with the bacon/egg/potato/cheese burro and the wife got chorizo/egg/potato/cheese. Really solid flavor, nice tortilla quality, and and a great meat to egg ratio. Size was a little bit smaller than I expected — I felt I could have eaten two. And at $ 4 a pop I just may do that next time! Red sauce: ketchup consistency, not that spicy. Good stuff here, will be coming back to explore other options.

You get what you pay for, And boy do you pay cheap. You wan’t a quick hit of burrito goodness without the taco-bell aftermath? Look no further you’ll get you’re food easy if you’re in the non lunch hours with no bother and a laid back(Ghetto) atmosphere that you learn to appreciate. The service is mindful and quick(dosen’t give a crap about you) Which is quite rare these days when bubbly overly courteous service can get taxing! I loved it when I wanted a burrito in the middle of the night and will continue to get my midnight burrito fix here. I would give it 5 stars but this place is so bad it’s good and would make no sense to give it five stars even though it feels like I should… Burritos!

The cashier was very personable, lots of healthy live plants, good prices, decent food. Not bad, not great. Glad to have late night options!

This place is amazing! I have been enjoying there chicken burritos with the salsa ranch since I was a little girl, and now into my adult years. This place is a total comfort food for me.

I’m spoiled. Taco Del Sol(TDS) spoiled me rotten! Everything else pales in comparison to TDS, but sometimes you need a burrito or taco fix and happen to be in Beaverton. Enter Mexicali Express… Burritos at Mexicali are small to medium sized with tons of rice and beans, only 15% meat for $ 6. It was pretty tasty, but filled to the brim with beans and rice, so not a great value and I’m not a huge lover of fillers. I’ve been several times over the years and meat ratio continues to dwindle. In comparison: TDS burritos are ginormous: and honestly 80% meat, 20% sauce and onions/spices. Plus beans/rice on the side, tomato/lettuce salad, guacamole, sour cream and ranchero sauce $ 9. I get 2 – 3 meals out of their massive burrito plate. I found it odd there were no prices on the menu at Mexicali Express inside the day I went in, perhaps they were updating? They have some amazing salsas at their«help yourself» salsa bar, which is a treat! Their salsa bar is one of the best around, even beats out TDS! Decent fair and fast/friendly service.

I could not have been more disappointed in this place. I wasn’t expecting gourmet but I wanted it to at least have flavor. The taco salad I got was a flavorless shell filled with about 90% shredded iceberg lettuce and a little bit of the rest of the toppings. The chimichanga was beef and bean and tasted like cat food in a burnt tortilla. I am 100% down with cheap, divey Mexican food but I would steer clear of this place.

Really, people? ! Unilocal has failed me today, and now I am left questioning the integrity of this review platform. Everything about this place is watered down for gringo consumption. The food is bland and devoid of vibrance, the guacamole is served with black olives in it, you can get a generic crispy taco meal with fries. FRIES! Ochoa lupitas is 10 minutes east of here, and he is bringing the comida autentico in a big way.

This place may look a bit run down and sketchy but oh my goodness they make some delicious food! My personal favorite is the soft corn tortilla carnitas tacos… SOGOOD! If you like Mexican food, I highly recommend.

So happy to have found a good late night taco place with variety of salsas going from mild taco to Roasted Chile, to habonero. All the flavors were different and tasted fresh. My favorite of the four tacos were lengua and baja fish. My four tacos, and horchata rán just over $ 10. No doubt I will return… so happy to have gotten my Mexican taco fix tonight.

The burrito portion size is meh. It tasted alright. When I opened it, sauce and rice was everywhere and it got my hands dirty.

Solid, fast Mexican. Large burritos — the carnitas was delicious. A fun surprise on the menu are the MexiCali Fries. The seasoning is fantastic. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I wish the refried beans were creamier(but I’m really picky about refried beans). We will definitely be back!

Delicious, inexpensive Mexican food at its finest. Definitely a must-try if you’re craving Mexican, but short on cash. Mexicali Express is in a bit of an awkward location, sandwiched between Canyon and Farmington on Cedar Hills Blvd. Lots of parking available out front. We went in and placed an order with the cashier. Our total for two people for lunch was about $ 12. We got our food within minutes, and it was delicious! Overall I’d say it’s worth a return trip. I’m interested to try their other menu items!

This is my go to place for breakfast burritos. Everything I have tried here is good, the sauces are amazing and for how filling the food is, and how inexpensive the breakfast burritos are, this is a really good, delicious deal(can’t beat the price or quality at other ‘fast food’ paces and can’t cook this at home for the same price). I’ve made a tradition of picking up one of these breakfast burritos before I go to the beach. I have to or it just doesn’t start my beach day off right. Also, my husband got the steak taco, he said it was the best taco he’s ever had. I had a bite and it really was amazing.

Can’t believe how terrible their food is, especially their burritos. The food was cold when we opened it, and the food tasted very bland like there were no seasonings. The guacamole was watery and tasted like it was just a mashed up avocado with a few diced tomatoes and olives on top, pretty tasteless. Lettuce in my chicken taco tasted stale and the asada & lengua were dry and and lacked quantity. For the price we paid I was expecting a lot more and a lot better!
