History

Established in 2010.

The Interactive Museum of Gaming and Puzzlery (IMOGAP) was founded in 2010. It came to life as a result of personal circumstances as well as fill a community need. The inspiration and vision for the museum came from our founder and steward, Kyle Engen. Five years ago, he discovered a notion that stayed with him: in the United States there is not a single museum devoted to games. The more he thought about it, the more this seemed an unfortunate oversight. There are museums devoted to athletics, play, collectibles, and video games, but none that focus on games in general, or board games in particular.
