Bonus! We walked in to play pool and the bar dude said a cheery, «Hi!» and without being asked brought us pool balls and asked us what we wanted to drink. I guess we’ve been noticed after all… Go figure! PS, the place reeked of cigarette smoke when we walked in. I’m allergic to the stuff, so it’s a disgusting odor to me.

I’ve never had a problem with anyone who works here or ever feeling scared. I’d I ever had a problem you can always talk to an employee or security member and it will be resolved. Lots to do here and reasonable pricing.

I’ve been going to UG more often and I’m really digging it. Great music, efficient bartenders(love Willow), good drinks and food, and I love the back patio. It’s getting better now that there is a gate on the bacm patio and a stronger bouncer presence. Halloween 2014 was fun as hell! Keep it up, guys.

Let’s be clear — we were there in the 7 o’clock hour. I’m not sure I’m brave enough to be there at 1am. For a dive, it was super decent. An effort is clearly being made to upgrade it & keep it up. There’s an intense number of cameras all over. Good beer choices & my margarita had good flavor. We didn’t get food but the plates for others we saw looked good. Go up to the bar, though, to place your order. Your mom’s not the bartender at this bar so don’t wait to get served. We were fascinated by the dozens of flyer/signs stating house rules all over the place cuz you know every one of them has a story — like«Shoes MUST be worn at all times» & «Due to security reasons, the bikini contest has been postponed until Sept. 26.» Too bad the pool tables are $ 6/hr, but at least the tables were recently refelted.

This place has changed a lot. It’s still divey. It’s located in the middle of a strip mall in Aloha and you have to go inside the building to enter the establishment or you can enter from the back where the smoking area is. The place itself is big. There is a DJ booth and dance floor towards the entrance and the other half of the place has plenty seating and several pool tables. The drinks are good. The service is good. We come here for the pepper-salted shrimp and it is one of the best that I’ve had. The shrimps are large. The spiciness level is as it should be. Spicy. I love it. The sweetheart loves it a lot too. I’m glad that there is something other than fried food for late night bar fare.

This place has received a bad reputation for being a seedy, dive bar where patrons have to watch their back every minute. However, there are bad people out there who can ruin the experience for everyone else. I have seen major improvements in this place over the years. New pool tables, a really cool DJ who plays whatever you want and some really down to earth bartenders. Michelle and Shawn have taken care of me every time I come in and they are really respectful to their customers. Sure, there have been a few times where someone was assaulted and the place immediately filled up with Washington County’s finest. That’s a result of alcohol and bad decisions. Underground has some really cool people, and if you want a really good burger and beers, come on down and shoot some pool. Plus, when you need some fresh air, you can always go out back and enjoy the company of others. This is one of my favorite places to go!

I don’t know if it was just the night I was there or what but I can’t say I want to go back. Now don’t get me wrong the bartenders and staff are great, very nice, and I love the idea of the Asian theme menu butting was a few choice customers that made me a little uncomfortable. I would give it another shot but Aloha is a little far for me to risk another uncomfortable experience.

So. rolled in here a little after 6 last night, DH was itching to get out and do something close to home, and I was trying to rack my brain where else in the area I didn’t have more than one check in. I want to keep trying new places. While this place isn’t new for me, it’s the first time since I started Unilocaling that I have checked in here. I was here a couple of years ago since then they have revamped it. a little different than before, they have moved things around some. The last time I was here the couch is where the pool tables are now. Easily burned a couple of hours in here after the juke box and meeting people etc. We opted to eat here and even though it doesn’t say, it is Chinese fare. I had the wonton soup which was I might add was GROSS! I couldn’t stand it. I tried to finish it but said hell no. You get a lot for the price but man. wasn’t good. I ordered some salad rolls too that weren’t too bad, everything seemed warm and soggy though. Some bean sprouts and Jalepenos come out with the soup and them bean sprouts looked like they had been sitting awhile. They were warm, brown and slimy. eww! DH had the Chicken chow mein, that didn’t look good either. He said when we come back we weren’t having any food. I tend to agree with that. Why it’s not your usual bar /Pub selection, it certainly wasn’t good. Maybe I’ll order/try something else, but the food needs to be fresher. Ugh! We met some new friends in the industry there, nice home bred guys, they said to come and see them this Friday. looks like it’s going to be a busy Friday!

For what it is, it isn’t too bad. Like other reviews have said, it’s in the basement of a strip mall in Aloha. Knowing this, you must not set your expectations too high. Being within a very short walk from my home makes it convenient. It is spacious, the bartenders are friendly and prices are reasonable. It also has pool, and Oregon Lottery video machines. Others have called this a «dive» and I do not agree. Maybe it was previously, as I understand it is under relatively new management. However, as a former US Navy sailor that has been in bars around the world, this place is pretty good.

Agreed this is a dive bar of sorts, but really has cleaned up allot. As stated before, not sure why the complaints, everytime I go in, service is fine, food is what you would expect, and drinks are very reasonable.

I don’t know why no one goes here. Everytime I go there are only a few people in there. I think it’s nice to have a club in aloha and not have to go to portland. But it’s just always so dead.

I think this holds the motherload of diviest of the dives. If you’re in a night of staring, glaring then punching. This is the place for you. It reeks of cigarette stench, you can barely breathe. It gets crowded(this is when the real battle of staring and glaring begins). I would suggest going farther towards Hillsboro as there are other local bars/divey dance floor around. The name doesn’t speak at all(talk about false advertisement). How can you call a lounge when the music is blasting? Is serving bar food classified as restaurant with very dim neon lights and kitchenette type of tables? Afterwhich, go outside and you’ll most likely witness a brawl to your side. The cops are always around as this place is notorious for irresponsible people(drunk driving and fights). So, DUI anyone? You can get one within two blocks if you’re not sober.
