AT&T

The manager Deena is the worst. Absolutely no help whatsoever, and very rude. I purchased 2 brand new $ 950 iPhones 3 weeks ago, I’ve been an AT&T customer for over 13 years. The return period for these phones is 2 weeks, like I said it had been 3 weeks. The iPhones are now buy 1 get 1 free, AND $ 100 cheaper. She informed me that she could override that, IF she felt that it was outstanding circumstances, but would not override for me. She was then unwilling to tell me what outstanding circumstances would qualify for an extended return by ONE WEEK. She said she didn’t appreciate me asking her that and refused to give an answer. Seriously horrible customer service skills and very rude. When I pay off these ridiculous phones I will be switching carriers. Like I said, I’ve been with them for over 13 years and they couldn’t give me a week extension.

Awful customer service and bad management. I went in this store in October with my 16 year old son. I upgraded his phone and bought an iPad, no problem. Went in again 2 months later for a repeat of the same thing, but this time I was buying a phone for myself and a iPad for my sons birthday the next day. I was told I could not do it after standing in line for ½ hour and then setting it all up with the CSR, which took another ½ hr. I was not authorized on the account, only my husband was. I am a 57 year old woman and I was treated like I was a juvenile delinquent. I explained I had done this before in October with no problem. The manager Jakobe implied that I may have been mistaken and my husband could have indeed been there. Jakobe also told me he had to check his «reels» to see if my husband was involved in the purchase in October. Basically he treated me like I was trying to pull one over on him without my husband’s authorization. Its not so much the arbitrary convenient rulings, which looks like it can change with Jakobe’s mood, it was the manner in which I was treated, like I was lying about the October purchase and trying to pull one over on them and my husband. After reading some of these other comments and other people having problems with Jakobe, it must be hard to find good help, because it is rather pathetic that this guy is still a manager there.
I am going to the apple store to make my purchases from now on and then change my account to Verizon.

Awful. Just awful. This location. I am a new ATT customer and have been to other locations in the last couple months for this reason or that and had good service. First I started my service at this location and my account was so screwed up that it has taken 8 weeks to get it straightened out… ATT had a difficult time figuring out what transpired. My daughter went to the Corvallis store to pick up her phone since she goes to school there and the CSR that helped her noticed our messed up account and started the process of fixing it. The person that set up my account was new 8 weeks ago and no longer there.
Ok, so I went in just to get a screen protector and case for a new company phone and this sleazy, smarmy salesperson came at me before I made it through the door… not kidding. He stuck his hand out for me to shake and introduced himself… ugh, way to soon for this. So this guy is all full of confidence due to the 3 or 4 closing techniques they taught in his first week on the job and literally vomited about 100 words without expressing a complete thought. When I asked a couple of questions, he tossed out a bunch more words, again without expressing a complete thought. I finally said, Shhhhh… too many words.
I ended up buying a $ 30 screen protector and had him put it on and left as soon as I could. Well, I noticed the screen protector was put on crooked. There is some tolerance but this was way off. It was hanging out over the button and one edge of the IPhone and would have been a mess in a few weeks. I took it back and they said they couldn’t take it off and reposition it and they wouldn’t give me a refund because it was already installed… classic catch 22. I reminded them that they installed it but still, no.
While still in the store, I called ATT customer service and explained the situation and was given a $ 30 credit on my bill. So, yeah! ATT, but you’re gonna need a bath after doing business at this location.
That said, I actually had a very positive experience at Washington Square Mall and I hate malls.

Wow! These guys are amazing! I went to this store after having a horrible experience at a wireless outlet in another store. I will never do that again! I was left with so many problems and dealt with very rudely, that I just about returned my phone and said I was done with AT & T. But the moment I walked into the AT & T store on Town Center Drive, the reps were non-​stop helpful, and funny to boot!
Ricardo was happy to help me and fix all of the problems I had with number porting and the account, and got it fixed just fine. When the other outlet said it just wasn’t possible and they wanted to charge some big extravagant fee to port my number.
Brian taught me how to use my phone, fixed a lot of the settings and transferred over my contacts from my old phone. The other place said my phone was just too old and it couldn’t be done. He did it in less than 5 minutes!
I couldn’t believe how many things they helped me with and they didn’t charge me. Plus Ricardo put a new sim card in my phone and didn’t charge for it either. Of course I had just gotten a new 2-​yr contract and a new phone with AT & T, so our service was new.
I just can’t say enough good things about this store and the reps there. They were fantastic!
Oh, please beware of going to other outlets that are selling services for multiple wireless carriers. You will not get accurate info and risk being swindled. I will only go to the AT & T store from now on.

Not helpful at all! I was not even acknowledged for 8 minutes! Employees were socializing and gossiping! Avoid this location!

I loathe coming to the AT&T stores. I try to do everything on the AT&T website before I have to peel myself off my laptop and head towards misery. But today I had to.
What I can’t stand the most is bad customer service. I used to work in customer service and worked my butt off because that is what you are paid to do-​provide care and service to people who are spending their hard earned money. That deserves some level of respect. Customer service is not «I’ll do the bare minimum so I can get a paycheck in two weeks and if I am having a bad day then I’ll submit to making everyone else around me feel crappy.» If AT&T reps can’t understand that, why be in the customer service industry?
My biggest complaint here is: there are 3 – 4 reps hanging out in the store. I walk in and they look at each other, non-​verbally communicating amongst themselves as to who has to ACTUALLY do their job. It’s like they’re saying «you do it,» «No, you help,» «naw man, I got the last person.» I can see AND FEEL how much they loathe helping out. Once they all decide which one of them is going to help me, that’s when i get acknowledged. Finally. In a very forceful, fake tone, the rep says «Hi. Welcome to AT&T, how can I help you? BTW, I don’t deserve my paycheck.» Hehe, that last part-​I wish.
Let me go back a little bit. Another thing they do when you walk in, THEY ALL STARE YOU DOWN. Now, I’m a short girl, literally people stare down at me all the time. But I know very well when it’s literal, and when it’s figurative. It’s figurative here.
And it’s like this all the time. And it’s not just one or two people… it’s all the employees. I think the employees learn and enjoy having this bad attitude from the manager. I think his name is Jacobi (when the reps can’t help me, which is often, they go to him). All the times I have been there, he never acknowledges, never smiles, never addresses me (even though the rep can’t help me, he talks to the rep to talk to me). A very hands-​off person. Not a good role model that should be representing the company!
I really feel bad going here. They really make you feel sub-​human. I bad about myself. And this is literal. I’m embarrassed to say this, but I got to the point where I wanted to cry after I got in my car. But my want to cry just turned to anger. I called AT&T customer service and gave them location of the store and names of the employees who treated me like crap. Looking at all the other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. There’s a disease at this store.

Horrible experience!, incompetent, inconsiderate, wasted hours of time and accomplished absolutely nothing. This company has cost me and my business a lot of time and money. I’ve been with att for years and expected at least reasonable service.
Phone still not fixed. Paying for iphone unlimited plan and using a 10 $ flip phone. If I didnt mind wasting wasting more my time I’d be outside their building with a picket sign.

If you’re an AT&T customer like me and feel like you MUST buy your phone from them be forewarned: It’s a crapshoot as to whether your rep is knowledgeable. I’ve been to this store before and had excellent help. Recently I upgraded to an iPhone5 and the clerk who handled the transaction was totally clueless. Totally. She had no idea how The Cloud works and kept insisting I needed to go home and do a bunch of backups and downloads with my PC to make my phone operable. I knew I was in trouble when twice she tried to insert a USB plug into a PC upside down. I appreciate the fact that people need a job but could you maybe TRAIN them regarding the products they’re selling?

We’ve really given this business and staff our best shot and past business, but we’re done. The staff is poorly trained and not equipped to handle every transaction. I will no longer stand around for 20 minutes while a staff member tries to figure out a basic service. They seem pleasant enough, but otherwise useless.

The folks here are always top of their game when it comes to immediate, friendly service. They will bend over backwards to trouble shoot for you and a quick to remedy any mistake on your account. I recently discovered an AT&T location closer to me, but will continue to give this location my business.

I base this upon the help they give my daughter. Change out sim card for free where ATT wanted to charge me $ 25 to mail one to her. Set both her phones up for her over the years, even though I bought them in California with my work place discount. Help with installing the memory on her phones, even though I bought the memory on Amazon. I have been to the store a few times to ask questions and they were always helpful.
Their WIFI works at peachwave.

Not helpful, and they changed my plan without telling me… I wasn’t able to send or receive texts for 3 weeks and when I finally called (I thought it was just my new phone being quirky), they told me my plan was changed and they would charge me to change it back!!! I told them that wasn’t going to happen and they refunded me the charge but were not able to recover the texts that I missed for 3 weeks!!! — unbelievable.
I guess I’ve been lucky for the past 9 years with AT&T or maybe it’s just this location that sucks… I will only return if I HAVE to… this locale bites.

I’ve watched many zombie movies, and I’ve figured out what happens to people whose brains have been eaten, but haven’t quite transitioned in to full-​on zombie mode: they work at this AT&T wireless store. I’ve worked retail, and understand that many times the store employee gets shade about something that is totally outside of his/​her control. My issue with this AT&T store is solely based on the employees themselves.
Here is what you won’t get: someone who looks happy to be there, getting helped in under 20 minutes despite the fact that you are the only person in the store, receiving assistance without the employee simultaneously texting on their personal phone, the employee accepting that you like your phone instead of insisting that you upgrade to something you don’t need/​want.
Here is what you will get: a lot of people with bad attitudes standing around in fancy clothes who don’t really know anything about cellular technology, and who don’t believe you when you insist, «YES, I have taken out the battery already and done a hard reset. PLEASE STOP LOOKING AT ME AS THOUGH I AM THE PROBLEM.»
I, like Ken N., had experienced enough of AT&T’s shenanigans. I am now a loyal Verizon customer.

This stores service was the last straw that will result in me switching from AT&T to Verizon.

The 5 stars are for the customer service at the Tanasbourne location. Ok, so I’m not completley happy with AT&T but the staff at the Tanasbourne store is great. Yes, I was back for a 2^nd time to return the phone charger I had ordered on warranty replacement. Twice I had the wrong charger sent to me. The supervisor on staff was very apologetic the first time and the second, well she just couldn’t believe it happended again. She made some calls and turns out my charger was on backorder. She called around and found one at another store down on TV hwy, the opposite direction from my house. She actually went and got the charger for me while I was finishing up my errands and had it ready for me to pick up at my local store. That’s awesome customer service and she saved me extra headache and an hour into my busy schedule. Thank you!

I go there if I absolutely have to. How is that for my review? I know more about the products and the plans than staff, I just avoid this place if I can.

Staff is not that knowledgable. The store is usually crowded. Takes a long time to get any assistance. Even then they don’t know the services offered by AT&T wireless. They have to call their manager to confirm that something that is on there website is something the company really offers. If you know what you want and have the time for the staff to confirm that it is actually an offering after waiting while for service then this is the place for you. Better yet, don’t even bother going here and head over to Best Buy a few buildings down.

Terrible customer service. I’ve worked in customer service for five years and hate the job, but I’ve never been as inconsiderate to a customer as these people were to me. I know I’m setting this up as though I’m a dick, but let me explain what I endured.
First off it was completely dead, aside from one other customer in the corner and the three customer service reps in the little circle-​desk in the middle, nobody was in the building. Two CSRs were talking about what sort of rims they should put on their car, while the third one, the manager, literally stood with his back to me playing solitaire.
Solitaire, the lamest way to goof off at work when you have internet access. What a douche.
After a little under a minute one of the CSRs taps the manager on the shoulder and asks him to assist me. From there, things went pretty smooth until a fourth CSR walked out of the Employees Only room towards the exit but was stopped by the CSR/​Manager assisting me… and the two of them talked about switching shifts, then asking about weekend plans to see if they could go to the beach.
This went on for about two minutes before he came back to assist me; but I, in an effort to pull a dick move of my own, and feeling incredibly lame as I did it, made a phone call just when he began talking to me and talked about how I can’t wait for Fallout 3 to come out for the 360 with my friend for a minute myself… which really confused my friend who I never call.
