Nice clean large rooms – excellent friendly staff and good value for your money – recommend for overnight stay – breakfast was adequate – don’t walk to the Waffle House across the street at night(advised by WH staff)

I spent 2 nights in a single Queen room while the A/C was being worked on at my house. When I called for directions(I wasn’t sure which side of 11th/I10 it was on) the man who answered told me he could not give me any help. I asked if he could just tell me what business they are next door to or across the street from, and he said no. I asked to speak with someone else, and he said he was the only employee there. It turned out to be located in a fairly rough part of town, but for the price and 2-star rating I expected that. When I went inside to check in and there were 2 employees available. Luckily for me, the jerk from the phone call was busy confusing a different customer, so a younger guy checked me in quickly and pleasantly. My room was tiny, but it was SO clean. I’m a bit of a germophobe, so I was very relieved. The furniture wasn’t fancy, but it looked fairly new. All in all, the hotel exceeded my expectations based on the cost and star rating. Just avoid the grumpy gentleman at the front desk.(If you can even find your way there in the first place.)
