Yogurt Couture

Yogurt Couture is delicious. I’m not into a ton of toppings, so I have no comment on the volume of their selection. It’s straight up, delicious yogurt with a quality taste. It’s a bit out of the way since I’m in Forest Hills, but I can honestly say I like it better than any of the yogurt options in Forest Hills (there are many). If they keep up the discounts you get by signing up to their Plenti program, I will keep coming back.

Went here today with my daughter. she wanted to try the yogurt and right away the cashier said 1 taste per person. So I said to her, if you can only try one flavor and you don’t like it, how are you suppose to figure out if you like any other flavor? I understand the rule was made because kids go in, try all the flavors and walk out without buying anything, but if you see a family walk in, or adults, I think the right thing to do is allow for different tastes. Yogurt is very good, but will not go back. Red mango is right down the road. We’ll just go there.

OK here we go again
First when I go in there I noticed the lack of toppings is an understatement and what they have you don’t even want. You want hot fudge or butterscotch don’t hold your breath it’s not there. I guess the lack of toppings is not so bad because there’s a lack of ice cream flavors to put them on. I made my yogurt and put my meager toppings on and it came out to $ 4.60. The tall male cashier said to me there’s a five dollar minimum on my credit card. I said I don’t have five dollars maybe I can check in the car. He let me walk out I didn’t have five dollars cash in the car so I left. So instead of me using my card for a few cents less than their credit card minimum now they took my ice cream and tossed in the garbage. I won’t say it but duhhhhhhhhhh. Anyway I took myself and my credit card 50 feet away and went to Starbucks and had no problems.

Debating if I should give 3 or 4 stars… Any who, I usually come here on my breaks since I work in the shopping center and live down the street. It’s a small froyo shop and doesn’t really get too busy unless it’s the weekend.
I always go for the ‘cake batter’ flavor. It is SOOOO GOOD, but sweet so if you like tart flavors this isn’t the place for you; I’d head to Red Mango on Bell. I love this place because I like sweet yogurt, my mother on the other hand hates it because she’s a tart yogurt type of girl…
The customer service has definitely gotten better and I haven’t seen any sanitary issues. When I go in it’s always clean or they’re cleaning up the mess a customer has just made.
The only thing I HATE about this place is that there’s a $ 5 minimum to use a card. If your yogurt isn’t $ 5 or more the owner (when he’s there) will make you add more or buy water or something else they offer. At other places there’s no minimum. My only advice to the owner (I notice that they use a STRIPE cash register) change the tax preferences on the register. STRIPE takes about 3.2% so add that on and Wallah. Problem Fixed!
Other than that I don’t really have any complaints. It’s a small shop, independently ran, I try to support small business owners so I think that’s why I continue to support this business… plus, that cake batter flavor really does it for me.

Located in the Bay Terrace shopping mall, this cute little store next to Victoria’s Secret is a hidden star. You must try Cake Batter, finally a flavor that pops. Staff is super friendly and offers honest and helpful opinions on some of the other favors like Fudge Brownie Batter, Coffee, French Vanilla, Peach, and Kiwi Strawberry.

I walked into Yogurt Couture and the first thing that I noticed was the lack of toppings. I think there might have only been 5 or 6 toppings to choose from, however, upon closer look, the toppings were covered in flies! I continued to walk past the toppings in disgust, not knowing how to walk right out the door tastefully. The cups had flies on them. Flies were on the walls. It was so unsanitary, it made my stomach turn. I asked the lady at the counter if they had the tart flavor (which I knew they didn’t) and once she replied that they did not, I walked right out. I’ll never return. Yuck!

Great location to be in. Parking is plentiful during most hours of the day. Selection is rather limited, but I’m not complaining. Definitely recommended to stop in when one gets a chance.

I love this place because the yogurt is SWEET! If you prefer tangy or tart, this might not be ideal for you and you might want to head to Red Mango.
I always opt for Cake Batter and it’s so good.
My only complaint would be the lack of toppings. I just want to see some more of those in there!
Whenever I go in, the staff always asks if I want a sample of something and are always super friendly.

It is a nice looking corner yogurt store with a humble number of flavour options.
I am not one to complain about how many choices are there, just as long as the quality is great. However, (I went once in 2013 and once in 2014) I really hope this gets the attention of the manager or whoever works there, because this is a bad representation of frozen yogurt.
The reason I came the second time was because I was hopeful that maybe it has changed, but it hasn’t.
The machines don’t even keep the fro-​yo properly «frozen», some of it comes out as literal liquid. It is kind of disgusting. And all of the them are not even solid enough, it’s all gooey, so the customers cannot enjoy the flavour or texture properly and it’s weird to put toppings on it.
I got a stomacheache like 5 minutes after eating mine… this is bad!
The whole point of yogurt is that it does not harm the stomache, it is in fact very good for digestion and people with weak stomaches (except lactose-​intolerants).
Therefore, the fact that I have to give this bad review is so unfortunate.
And also the toppings: many people like to put fruits on their yogurt, not just chocolatey sweet stuff. One cherry does not count as «fruit» options.

Living in the area and wanting to patronize the local shops, my wife and I went to this shop at a quarter to 9PM and was greeted by a locked door. The place had about 6 – 8 customers sitting inside and the young gal who came to the door stated that they close at 9PM and they didn’t get paid overtime, so we couldn’t come inside to spend money. (Listening owners?) We walked away stunned. We will NOT be back because it seems that the help is running the place not the owners. Also, there is a sign on the front door that states «Sorry, cash only» I guess it’s only a matter of time before this poorly run dump goes under. Maybe a real yogurt shop will take their place. Don’t bother.

I gave this place 5 stars when they first opened… I recently went back and what a big disappointment! Maybe because there isn’t much traffic around the area but the choices for yogurt flavors were dull and they didn’t have any fruits. The topping choices needed some major improvement.

I was in the area and wanted some froyo. So regretting not driving to Red Mango right now.
I walked in about 5pm and no one was in the shop. Then one employee came out from the back with a cheesy greeting. As a customer that never been there, the least he could do was a little introduction of what’s going on. Then, as I browse through the favors, they had chocolate, island banana, French vanilla, cookie dough. Everything look so sweet. Then I asked the employee if I wanted original flavor what’s the closest to it. He suggested French vanilla. So I pick up a cup. Walk over to the toppings. They have a lot of sweets like chocolate, brownies, candies, gummies, etc. I’m used to a lot of fruits, and the only choice they had here was strawberry and blueberry.
I ended up with a cup of $ 6 froyo of French vanilla flavor, some strawberry, mochi and gummies. It was SOOOO sweet. Taste nothing like original flavor. I ate the strawberries and threw out the rest. So disappointed.
If you’re into really SWEET froyo, you might want to give this place a try.

I would only visit this place if I really wanted something sweet at Bay Terrace and didn’t feel like driving somewhere else. This is not really frozen yogurt. Its sugary stuff that claims to be. Don’t get me wrong, the flavors are good. However, don’t kid yourself and think that you are getting something healthy. The cups that you put the yogurt in are huge. This led me to fill my cup way too much and I got stuck with a $ 11 bill for 1 cup that wasn’t even filled to the top. Whenever I see coupons for this place now, I feel a bit insulted because they’re tricking people into thinking they’re actually saving something.

I loved the place, it had great yogurt and I love the service!
There were many varieties of yogurt flavors & toppings!
Some suggestions would be green tea & taro yogurt flavors! The toppings would be so much better if there were more fruit toppings.
But in general, I loved the place ! It was great food and the price is decent !
Definitely going back.

Anyone who names their store «couture» can easily be pictured in Victoria’s Secret PINK sweatpants from next door, slouchy UGG boots and a Louis Vuitton bag (think Amy Poehler in «Mean Girls».) This is a ladies yogurt shop… embrace that.
For a girly yogurt place, you’d at least expect lots of yogurt flavors and festive cups, but no. There are about 4 – 5 flavors and there is only one-​sized styrofoam cups. It’s an independent yogurt shop, so I shouldn’t expect too much, right? Great, so they have lots of different flavors of boba, candies, syrups… but no fruits at all? The only fruit I saw was a bunch of dried-​up blueberries but seriously, they’re located exactly across a huge Waldbaum’s (which has great deals, btw) and even the yogurt shops in the middle of nowhere are usually fully stocked up on fruits. At least stock up on a few cans!
The yogurt itself is standard but not as smooth as Red Mango. They do have mochi, which is a plus, but they also have rainbow mochi, which is questionable because they are hard as hell. Seems like they’re more focused with the syrup because there’s tons of them! I had some strawberry syrup on my yogurt, which was the closest thing to real strawberries; this place is like the yogurt installment of Carvel.
Cheaper than any yogurt chain but I wouldn’t say too cheap. Half a cup came to around $ 4.

Love this place!
The best topping they have are the crunchies like in the carvel cakes! I have never been to a froyo place that has crunchies. Love the chocolate froyo with crunchies and peanuts! yummyyyy
Really nice and cute boy with glasses was so helpful in letting us try all the flavors!
It was clean and there were seats inside and play good music!

I was in search of froyo last night, Red Mango was closed and I came across this place called Yogurt Couture.
This was my first time here and my first time at a self serve froyo shop.
I was pretty pleased to hear that they were open until 10pm on Sundays. I arrived around 9pm. It was pretty empty. Myself and my friend were the only customers in the shop.
I’m not trying to be a diva but I figured we would get better service. Most of the girls working there were too busy cleaning up to notice that we wanted mini taste-​test cups.
I wanted to test the froyo flavors but there were only large cups available and we asked one of the workers «are these the only cups you have» and we were told yes.
I ended up picking what I thought were good flavors. I got the vanilla flavored and mixed it with cookie dough froyo.
A few minutes later when a small family came in the register girl offered the children taste-​test cups.
We should have been offered these right away.
I have to admit, the yogurt was delicious and I really like the variety of toppings.
My friend and I sat in the front of Yogurt Couture and as soon as we started eating a large mosquito started flying around us. We ended up killing the mosquito. I’m sure the workers saw this bug before we arrived.
A few minutes after that a smaller bug started buzzing around our yogurt. Yes another bug was in the sitting area!
This was a deal breaker for me.
I will not return here until I hear or see that there are no more bugs buzzing around.

After seeing a «Coming Soon!!!» sign for about a year, I was happy to see this place open up. I’m a fan of self-​serve frozen yogurt, even though it’s a potential trap – most places, including Yogurt Couture, weigh your yogurt when you’re done smothering it in toppings and charge you based on it’s weight.
Don’t assume that by getting frozen yogurt, you’re getting the healthier option, since Yogurt Couture has many devilishly sugary toppings. However, the frozen yogurt options – twelve options, when I went – were all pretty low-​calorie, and they give you a variety of fruit (some of it very fresh) to top off your treat, in case you just bought some really nice clothes and want to have a healthy option so you don’t have to return them and get the next size up. However, sugar-​lovers can walk through these doors and satisfy their sweet tooth just as easily.
The prices weren’t terrible; I personally found them reasonable. Definitely a nice after-​shopping or pre-​shopping or mid-​shopping treat (whichever floats your boat). I’m really glad this place is in business!

I came here on Saturday after a day of shopping in Bay Terrace with my friend. We both needed a snack so we decided to try this new yogurt place out. It is very cute inside, very much my style– all pink and girly! The style of the place is very much like most yogurt places now, self serve where you pick your flavors and toppings. You pay by weight so don’t get too carried away with toppings or else you’ll be paying as much as buying a pint of ice cream! They had about 8 flavors to choose from with a variety of toppings. I got cookies and cream yogurt with mini peanut butter cups, Oreo pieces, crunchies and mini M&Ms. It was very good, you can’t even tell that it’s yogurt, especially after being topped with all of those non-​healthy items!
There are only a few seats but if the weather is nice take a stroll around Bay Terrace and burn off those calories you are consuming! Parking is never an issue at Bay Terrace although the weekends are very busy! Definitely stop in on your next shopping trip!

I was sad to see the chocolate shop go, but at least it has been replaced by another sweet shop. Yogurt Couture is just like Red Mango — self-​serve frozen yogurt with a bunch of toppings.
Let’s not be fooled by the «Frozen yogurt is healthier than ice cream» thing. When you go to a place like this, you end up going topping-​happy and wind up with quadruple the calories. BUT IT’S SO WORTH IT! When I went here on Saturday, I got cookies and cream frozen yogurt (I highly recommend it!) with peanut butter cups, peanut butter chips, chocolate crunchies, and chocolate sprinkles. The cup you get is ginormous so think twice (or don’t…) about how much frozen yogurt you swirl into it.
Price is by weight. I got super full on sweets for only $ 3.27.
There are few places to sit inside but since it’s in Bay Terrace, you can always take your treat outside and sit on a bench. I see this place getting busy during the summer months!
