This place is cool. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if you’re in the neighborhood it wouldn’t be a bad idea to stop by. The atmosphere is «LIT»; they play good music(hip hop & reggae) and they offer a wide range of drinks from alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They are a bit pricey but they provide good service and high quality hookah. Last time I was here the staff member Andre wouldn’t relax until my fresh pineapple hookah was pulling perfectly.

Love this spot! It’s about to be my new spot for the summer !! The music is great. They’re blasting hip hop and rap. Everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves. The place is a good size with a good number of tables but I went on a Friday and it got really packed but surprisingly me & my girls were able to snatch up a table with the quickness; since its a popular place, once people sit its rare that they’ll get up and you’ll just have to stand the whole night. The spot gets full really early. They stopped letting people in after 12 as it was full to capacity. Drinks, however, were on the weaker side. I had 2 drinks and had a slight buzz but the hookah helped. I’m not a big hookah smoker so I can’t say much about that but it seemed ok to me lol, they also have food that you can order. Overall it’s a lively bar for a chill night.

2 stars is kind Ignorant rap(not good hip hop) contributed to the aloof girl asking«what happened» when I asked for a beer and a menu. I’m alone, and I’m charged gratuity on the bill, then I walk out with my food, in styrofoam(no bags) Unbelievable, with all the competition up there. Take the forced undeserved gratuity and buy some plastic bags. Having said that, last time there was a sweet girl, great service, great conversation Step your game up son, LOL never again, should have stuck with Donovans

Amazing hookah, amazing drinks! Love the music and atmosphere. Gets very crowded on weekends so it’s worth going during the week at a somewhat odd time. Great place, any hookah lover like me will love it

Went on a Friday night around 8:30/9 and quickly got a seat at a corner table. It was a perfect time because it began filling up shortly after. The music was fun, the fries were delicious and the hookah flowed nicely. The staff was also very cool. The only thing that was annoying were the table of girls next to us that were snappchatting every breathe they took. Will be coming back soon though!

They play a variety of music in the span of one evening, from edm to r&b to old school rap and 90’s songs. Over the summer they had an ice tube that you can add but I believe they got rid of that. There is always a guy carrying around coals to reheat your stones, so no need to worry about that. In the summer they open up the front windows and is a cool spot to chill at but in the winter, they really need to keep the doors closed-the cold breeze is quite disturbing. Other than that, nice place to relax on bell. Will probably return in the warmer months.

My usual order for hookah is grape and mint and what they gave me here tasted nothing like it. It wasnt expensive for a hookah but could’ve been better for the price. I went on a Sunday night so was low key and no sure how crowded it gets. The coal they use is very long lasting and the hookah didnt get harsh– only good thing i can say about the place. Didnt try the drinks nor the food.

Popping place to be. It’s no Astoria but will do for Bayside. Great place to catch a game and just chill with friends. They have a Dj spinning. So the music is decent… Prices on the hookah aren’t bad. They used to have mystique ice hoses =T. You can order fresh fruit for the hookah though. Coals last long and the hookah doesn’t get harsh. Place can get packed on the weekend nights. Their cocktails are on point. Nice and strong! The service here could use some attention. They do add gratuity to your bill so don’t tip twice unless the service was that extraordinary, but I doubt it as i have seen many patrons remark on this. WORKONYOURSERVICE and that last star is yours Pyramids.

Maybe it’s because I hadn’t been to a hookah bar in years(shame on me) or maybe it’s because I was with great company, but I had a good time at Pyramids. Hookah-ing here brought me back to the good ol’ times when I’d spend a few hours a night kicking it at an Astoria hookah bar, feeling like I was a badass because I had a pipe in my mouth. It felt stupid good to be doing hookah again(don’t judge me, I’m Persian after all — it’s in my blood!!!). My group ordered one with melon, and one with mint and grape. I normally hate mint, but this one was subtle and perfectly mixed with the grape that I very much enjoyed it. It didn’t make my throat scratchy either after they changed coals. Atmosphere was, at least on a Sunday evening, quiet, low-key, and empty. Hip-hop was playing in the background. Dim lights. Good place to bring a girl, if you’re not trying to wife her up. I also got a cosmo, but it was too strong for me. I stuck to the smoke. I wouldn’t venture out to Bayside to come here, but if you’re around, I’d recommend Pyramids for a relaxed couple of hours.

SUCH a Bell Blvd hookah bar. It’s a true stereotype of what the night scene is like in the area. Music is blasting, but it’s rarely ever filled. The hookahs are reasonably priced(I paid $ 15 for the cheapest one) and they have a great selection of flavors you can also mix and match(I combined rose and mint). The service is slow and wishy-washy, but I think that’s because they’re more focused on the bar part rather than the hookah. Overall, I’m glad I found out about this spot since the one closer to me is no longer around. For a quick hookah fix without making a trip out to Astoria or the city, this is a great alternative.

Dear owners of Pyramids Hookah & Bar, Do you like your location in Bayside? Do you realize that you have residential neighbors a block away from your establishment that prefer not to be kept up by INSANELY loud music ??? EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Why do you have to blast music on a Wednesday night at 1:30 in the morning? NEWSFLASH: You are a dive bar on Bell Blvd in freakin Queens, not some posh club in the Meatpacking district. I understand if it’s a Friday or Saturday night but on regular weeknights I should not have to be going to bed with ear plugs and still be kept up by your establishment. I couldn’t sleep. I have a very important presentation at work today and if I blow it, I’m holding you morons personally responsible. I politely ask you to be a little more respectful to your neighbors who quite frankly can make or break your business. Oh, and by the way, the last establishment to piss off the neighborhood ALWAYS seemed to get busted for serving underage patrons. It was amazing how the cops kept picking that one place to bust. Well, needless to say, they are closed now. Wouldn’t want that to happen to you guys. Sincerely, Your Friendly Neighbor

Came here a few times, and each experience was about the same. The service was a bit on the slower side regardless of the size of the crowd, but the servers are genuinely friendly. The music here is really loud, and the songs one night, although good, were on an obvious loop that didn’t have enough songs to the make the loop conspicuous. It was actually more hilarious than anything. After about 20 min. of being there I heard the same songs in the same order! The drinks are pretty good and their wings are incredible! The hookah is decent and pulls really well. The seating can get a bit uncomfortable after a while. I’d definitely come here again with some friends when in the mood for loud music, good wings, and a possibly big crowd.

It was early for us after dinner so we headed over to Pyramids where my favorite sisters popped my cherry. I was always skeptical to try because of my asthma but I overcame that little fear tonight. There’s a bouncer to check Ids before you can enter which is understandable yo. The place was packed and few tables spread out. I asked a guy how we can get a table and it was like a 15 – 20 mins wait as my friends ordered some drinks by the bar. We stood for a little bit and finally got a table. We ordered a Grape Flavor hookah and of course took selfies to record my cherry being popped yo hehe. The music is pretty kick and and me and my girls definitely had an amazing time. Pay close attention to your bill as they add the gratuity already but welcome additional tip if you like their service. Definitely we will be back =)

Enjoyed a thirsty Thursday here with the guys. The best part? Oh, I’m glad you asked. The best part was ladies night!!! Free drinks for ladies(house wines, house liquors and beers). Woohoo! I’ll take it! We came here for the Rangers game and had a good time. The guys had a variety of beers and I got a vodka tonic which had a decent house vodka. We also ordered wings, onion rings, and a chicken wrap all of which were decent — nothing to write home about. The hookah was good, as usual. But the service could have been better. The waitress tried to leave our table twice without taking everybody’s order plus she wasn’t the most attentive even though it wasn’t crowded. We’ll definitely be back though!!!

A friend and I stopped in a few weeks ago. Pyramids has a pretty chill atmosphere, but nothing much in the way of décor. The television screens take away from the vibe, and makes it feel more like a sports bar than a lounge. The night we went, it was mostly couples trying to find a dark and intimate space to talk and kiss.(We ourselves got pretty cozy with each other on the leather seats by the windows.) The hookah flavors we ordered could have been tastier and stronger, though luckily we didn’t have that problem with the drinks. But our server literally did the bare minimum for our table. Would I come back? No.

My friends and I were able to get seated right away. The place did get busier throughout the night as we you started to see people standing and waiting for a table to open up. The hookah flavors are plentiful. My friends and i got mint. They do have 4 – 5 beers on draft. Rebel IPA is a solid draft choice. The service is mixed. The server was all over the place(i blame the fact that she was the only one working the tables). There was a guy coming with new coals every so often to replace the hookahs. That was great service there. My only gripe was hunting down the server when we wanted to close the tab. Again, i only blame the fact that they needed another person to help work the tables.

After a horrible attempt of going to the movies with my boyfriend, and after the wonderful reviews on Unilocal and a good 15 minutes of aimless driving we decided to head to pyramid. Best decision ever, although we arrived around 1030 and had to wait roughly 25 minutes for a table it was well worth the wait. Once we sat down, we got our menus and ordered a cranberry vodka. Man it was delish I think our bartender was Nikki, she was awesome. Friendly and did an amazing job with our drinks. We had 4 during the whole night. we also ordered a mint hookah and that lasted around an hour or so and we did a refill. In total the 4 drinks hookah and refill and the automatic 18% gratuity we spent $ 74 but had an amazing night with amazing music delish drinks dancing and good hookah. Couldn’t have gone wrong with this place. My boyfriend and I have made this our spot. And we plan to go again and try the food!

I hate writing great reviews for hidden gems, but my Unilocal conscious keeps telling me that’s unfair. I usually go to Manhattan for good hookah, but this place is top notch and close to home. It has done absolutely nothing for my recent decision to quit hookah but the great drinks, nice chill atmosphere with good music and partial outdoor seating keeps me coming back. Fresh fruit hookah is my favorite and if you’re there when it’s not too busy, your coals will be replaced all night. It’s not a big place, so I know once word gets out it’ll be a zoo in here, but until then this is my favorite local hookah lounge. They do automatically add 18% gratuity, which promotes poor service sometimes but honestly I’ve never been upset at the service enough to make a big deal about it.

25% automatic gratuity added to your bill if you order hooka, even if you are a party of one. Asked my waitress about it and she said it was a ‘hooka fee’ and that I was the first customer to question it. Still had a good time, probably won’t go back but the happy hour is a good deal.
