This place is great! They open on Saturday’s and you can bring your own oil for an oil change. The mechanics will inspect the undercarriage of your car for any necessary repairs and advise you on what is failing soon. overall, the shop is pretty well equipped and the best part is that they are located in a less travelled area of Bayside, so chances are you’ll be served quickly…

Owner is nice and efficient. Respectful on customers time and provides an accurate/​realistic ETA. Price is fair.

These guys are the hidden gem of auto repair in Bayside (or anywhere in the vicinity). They’re prompt, friendly, affordable, and most of all, HONEST. I would recommend Danny and Denny’s to anyone who needs auto repair!

this is a clean and honest repair shop. very professional .They check and fill all the fluids, lights and set tires pressure for the oil and filter changed. They also reset the service light without charge!!! The most important thing about this place is honest and very friendly.

Did NY State car inspection in 20 minutes, fast and professional. Would come back if there is any car problems and definitely for oil changes.

Absolutely blown away with how honest this shop is. I had a list of things that needed to be repaired given to me by another mechanic. I showed d and d and he said no u don’t need this. u don’t need this… u don’t need this… this we can do. It’s an east fix.
My first visit to them was for my battery light and he told me to get a new battery from autozone Bc I was under warranty and the wire was loose so he tightened it and looked at everything and didn’t even accept the tip I tried handing him.
2^nd visit was for my tirerod and brakes. And turned out to be my alternator. He said he didn’t even need to replace my tirerod. And there was a clunking sound that turned out to be my exhaust and he fixed that for me for free!!!
When I tried to tip $ 40 to his employees he told me it was too much and tried handing a 20 back to me!

Just purchased a new used car and needed to get it looked over and get a oil change while I was there. The owner who is a mechanic was with two other mechanics were very friendly and helpful while they put my car up on the lift to inspect it. The mechanic who dealt with me showed how everything looked good, tested all my lights, brakes, wipers, checked fluids and replaced my oil all within 30−40mins. I will most likely be back if there’s anything else I need to do to my car and they also do car inspections.

This was my first time taking my Maxima in for service at this mechanic. I had to get an alternator replaced and I was not familiar with this neighborhood. This was one of the only places around here that was willing to give me an estimate without needing my vehicle in their facility. The owner was friendly and soft spoken and he gave me a couple of different alternators to choose from (from rebuilts to OEM). Took them about 2 hours to complete the job and they even took the time to repair an undertray I had given up hope on. I’m not saying they’re miracle workers, but they were professional, accommodating, and at no point did I feel like they were trying to suck as much money out of me as possible.
To the poster below with the maxima, the 3.0 and 3.5 engines were notorious for burning oil. You should get your gaskets replaced, probably at this place because most of the other mechs around here will rip you a new one.

honest, hard working, and trust worthy. People who complain about prices are inconsiderate. Considering the economy we’re in, a privately owned business like Danny & Denny is the best we can get. You’re paying for the honest service that they provide, unlike most repair shops that give you used items and find cheap ways to cut the corner and charge the same price. The workers are friendly and have been serving generations of families in the area. I recommend this shop to all of my friends.

My parents and most of my family’s friends go to Danny & Denny. They have many years of experience and they are very reasonable with the prices. It makes me sad that cheap people need to come on Unilocal and trash such great workers. They are not only friendly but super honest! I’m sorry if I dont have sad lame stories, I just have a wonderful review for a shop that has been open for many years and has never had any complaints!

Here is my story… I’ve been going to this auto shop for a good 5 yrs. I live one block away and it was very easy to jst leave my car here for them to do whatever that was required. This convenience also allowed me to RELIGIOUSLY follow the oil change of every 3 month schedule. .Despite this, sadly, my 2001 MAXIMA crapped out in 2007 with only about 80K miles. Most people laughed at me since they said at 80K the car hasn’t even been broken in! Anyway, I thought what bad luck I had… But i did take note that at the time of my car crapping out, my cousin took a look under the hood. He told me that the brake fluid was literally emptied. At that time, i was not happy since i always ask the mechanic here to check everything. Anyway, I let it go. I get a new car (LEXUS)…I don’t bring it to D&D anymore since the condition of my last car made me wonder about the work they did for the 5 years (exclusively worked on by D&D). But going to the dealer for basic oil change, etc. was a pain in the a** and I think to myself, how difficult and elementary is an OIL/​FILTER change… So i breakdown and i drop off my car to D&D for an oil/filter.surely they must be able to handle this simple task without a hitch. Few hours later, they call me and tell me it’s ready. Great. I go, and they charge me $ 45 for an oil/​filter change. Right away, i ask them, you are now charging dealer’s rate? so they say, how much should it be… I told them it use to be 29.95.they disagreed and said it was never that low. I said, ok, whatever…10−20 bucks is not gonna break my piggy bank. Finally they charged me $ 35.
Here’s the KICKER…
not more than 2 months after i had this oil change at D&D…the «LOW ENGINE OIL» light comes on in my car! Right away, I am puzzled & think wtf? I get to my office and immd popped the hood to check the oil stick. Firstly, the oil was black not the olive oil color that it should be… secondly, the oil level was BELOW the minimum line of the oil stick (oil stick has 2 line marking, a minimum and a maximum) mine was below the minimum line! It is OBVIOUS that D&D charged for the oil/​filter service but did not do the work. …and now I wonder about that 5 years that i had them work on my maxima… perhaps nothing was done and therefore the car died prematurely…
