All Seasons Auto School

I needed to find an auto school for my son to take
some lessons. for his road test. I found All Seasons on line
and found them to be very professional and accommodating.
The staff helped my son Book his road test and with the practiced
he needed to pass. He Said the instructor was great and told him
exactly what he needed to know. The total cost was lower than
I was expecting too. I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Carlos, my driving teacher, but I had the worst experience ever dealing with the administrative staff of this place, who were unreasonable, disrespectful and rude.
It was my first time driving and I don’t own a car so from the beginning I wanted the 20 lesson package with 2 tests. I asked if I could pay in installments, and the woman on the phone –Laura, the older sounding woman and the wife of the owner– said sure and suggested a $ 160 payment to start with.
I had Richard as my driver at first, but for our first two lessons, he ended up arriving late and short changing me 15 minutes each lesson. I switched teachers and I called in to complain about the 30 minutes I was owed twice and they did nothing about it– the second time I called they didn’t even know what I was talking about.
I scheduled my first road test after 16 lessons. Carlos said I had a 50% chance of passing but to my surprise, I did pass. Carlos and I had solely been practicing for the road test and didn’t do anything else, such as going on the highways. I was still in no shape to actually drive alone and he agreed as well.
I called the office to schedule another appointment and Laura said I was actually charged for a 15 lesson package plus 1 extra. I said there must be a mistake, and she said it did originally say 20 lessons but someone crossed it out. I said I’d pay the additional $ 90– how much extra the 20 lessons would have been– for the 4 additional lessons, and she said she’d ask the owner if it was okay.
The next day Laura left a message saying no it wasn’t possible. I called and she refused to talk to me, and instead I had to talk to someone who only started working there who then started backtracking and lying and saying I never wanted the 20 lesson package to begin with, and that they don’t even allow paying installments. I told her that wasn’t true, and she started making more things up and making more excuses. She said it was my fault that this happened and that I should’ve looked at my credit card statement sooner. She said after passing the test, as a licensed driver, the lessons would cost me $ 45 vs $ 35 for permit drivers anyways so I wouldn’t be able to use the leftover lessons in my package anyways (nowhere does it say that on the website nor did they tell me this when they first tried to sell me lessons). I asked what would have happened if I failed the first road test and needed another one and she said then the 20 lesson package would have been honored. Then when I said the website showed lessons for licensed drivers cost $ 40 and not $ 45, she said she’d be able to give me a $ 5 discount. I asked to be transferred to the owner’s wife, and she did, but the call dropped (I think she hung up on me).
I called again and finally did I get Laura on the phone. I was calm and rational and respectful the entire time, but suddenly the conversation turned ugly and Laura started screaming at me over the phone that I was wasting her time and hung up on me.
Now, it’s obvious they just wanted to make more money from me at $ 45 a lesson. I don’t even know if they are deliberately scamming me or not because they kept making stuff up and changing their explanations. I realized, each time they called me and asked for payment over the phone and gave me no contract, nor receipts. This is incredibly shady and at best, horrifically unprofessional. I have talked to other students who said they also thought Laura, the owner’s wife, was very rude to them.
This was overall the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I have paid over $ 500+ to their business and I shouldn’t be treated this way. I literally had to beg for them to even talk to me and hear me out. I wanted to complain to the Better Business Bureau but they are not an accredited business. My advice is to get everything down in writing should you go with them. I do recommend Carlos as a teacher but I would suggest going with another driving school to save yourself this headache. Their lessons are not actually cheaper, they are just 45 mins long vs 1 hour long at other driving schools. Other schools don’t charge $ 5 – 10 more per class if you are a licensed driver and cheaper if you only have a permit (what is the logic in this?!?). And finally, the dilapidated nature of their office, the fact that their licensing course hasn’t been updated in decades and the ancient car they use should tell you enough. Go with a state of the art driving school and one that is BBB accredited.

Based on the great reviews, I went for the 10 session package. I am a slow learner and eventually, I passed the road test. The initial classes around 5 of them are good. However toward the end, they become bad. I would still recommend my friends to go, but not highly recommend because the payment instructions are unclear.

Just passed my road test on the first try, all thanks to my ten lessons with Ezra. He is nice and we got along great — he’ll let you know if you do anything stupid on the road, though ;) I was picked up from my house each lesson and didn’t have to share the car with any other students, thank goodness. Some of my lessons went longer than 45 minutes as a result, which allowed me more practice time.
10 weekly lessons was right for me, considering that I hadn’t had any driving experience whatsoever before that, and now I passed!
Get the 5-​hour pre-​licensing course done ahead of time — ideally before your lessons start. Some of the info can help your driving before you make any bad habits. Plus, you’ll feel so much better to get it out of the way! Joe taught my course and he is a gifted orator. He wasn’t boring for a second — although I can’t vouch for some of the videos.
I got a couple of friendly calls from their office confirming some of my important dates. They seem to be on top of things.
Only complaint is that the car I drove in was kind of old and dirty — it was a Toyota Corolla. Also, their office is very cramped, but don’t let that put you off.
All in all, you’ll definitely do great here!

I found All Seasons through groupon when they were offering a 5-​hour lesson and a driving lesson for $ 38. The 5-​hour safety course was very informative and thorough (note: the class will actually be 5 hours long, unlike other driving schools that give you a 20 minute speech and sign your certificate) and the driving lesson was very professional. I had requested my driving lesson with Carlos after reading the reviews about him on Unilocal.After my first lesson, I booked a package deal with him right away. He is extremely patient and punctual. He calls you before every lesson and will always be on time to pick you up and drop you off. I did not have any experience with another driving school or driving all together prior to All Seasons, but I know that the customer service they provide is what draws their customers in. They are ridiculously friendly and patient and I highly suggest you come here!

The driving instructor was informative and easy going. The problem was the car. The car was SO old. I think this car was from the 60’s. I was really embarrassed to drive in it. I also had to manually move the mirrors with my hands. Dont sit on the cushion because while you drive you’ll feel the absorbing of the sweat. Overall the car is just old and uncomfortable. But at least the instructor was funny and nice. Unless they change the car i wont be back for another lesson.

I heard about All Seasons through two of my friends that have gone there, and decided to request Carlos as my instructor after hearing great things about him from so many different people. Highly recommend Carlos!!! He is so patient, kind, and very helpful. I got the 10 lesson package and passed the road test on the first try.
Definitely recommend this place! The women who pick up the phones are also very sweet. The package deals are great as they include everything along with the lessons– road test, car, defense class, etc.

Great and affordable driving school. I needed to get my NY state license as I just moved here from half way around the world. I took a groupon deal for the 5 hour mandatory course and a 45 minutes lesson. I’ve been driving for a long time back where I came from but I thought maybe the 45 minute lesson would be useful for my road test maybe I can learn a thing or two about the stop signs which do not exist back where I came from. I had my lesson with Tony and he’s just the best instructor. Apart from learning about the rules of the road, I learned that I’ve been parallel parking the wrong way for the last 17 years! The people in their office are also great. At the end I passed the test on the first attempt. Totally worth it. Thanks Tony!

Look for Richard. He’s the best instructor in there. He’s straight forward and he’s going to teach you the best that he could do for you to pass. I took my road test today and I pass. You gonna learn everything from him.

After a HORRIBLE experience at AUTOCRAFT driving school, where my instructor made sexist jokes about women driving and was constantly on his phone which led to me failing the road test… I switched to All seasons after recommendations from friends. I had the instructor Carlos who is AMAZING! Completely calm, professional and soft spoken, but he was able to catch my mistakes and was always ready to answer questions. I only took 5 lessons and he helped me pass the exam.

Passed my road test on the first try today thanks to Carlos. He is really the best driving teacher there is out there– patient, calm, encouraging and accommodating. Almost all of his students pass on their first try. Ask for Carlos, but do so in the very beginning, as he is always booked for lessons!
As for All Seasons Driving School as a whole, they maintain a great level of professionalism in their office service and instruction. Scheduling is very convenient because they have enough cars and instructors; I never found myself unable to book a lesson. They also schedule your road test for you, pick you up for a lesson before the test on the day of, and drive you to and from the test site.

I was part of a group of four students taking driving lessons with Ezra as part of the driver’s ed education program at HANC in long island. When my friends and I started, not one of us knew how to drive well. By the end of the program we all felt confident — even driving on the highway, something that at least scared me a lot. I want to thank Ezra for teaching me how to drive and making sure we all passed our road test. He told us he works at All Seasons, so I came here to write his review!

I have always struggled with nervousness when taking a test. I had already failed the driving test twice when someone recommended Carlos at All Seasons Auto School. Carlos is a patient and calm teacher. He comes across as a laid back person but at the same time won’t let you get away with any mistakes and will repeatedly practice your weaknesses until you get it. In only 5 lessons he got me ready for the test and I passed.

After my awful experience with Mercedes Driving School, I stumbled upon all seasons. Their deals are cheaper, and they do driving lessons right! What I love about All Seasons is that they stick you with ONE instructor and ONE car consistently so you get used to the car you’ll be driving for your road test. They sent me Tony as my driving instructor and he was young, awesome, patient, and an amazing instructor. I finally passed my road test with flying colors!
Another thing I love about All Seasons is that when they say they’ll call you back, they’ll call you back. They are always prompt and on top of things! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Took driving lessons from All Seasons, and also did a «defensive driving» video course. Wasn’t too expensive, and my driving instructor was great. I also liked that All Seasons will drive you to the road test so that you can take it in the car that you learned to drive in!

Based off the good reviews, I walked into this school thinking this was an okay environment. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. The women in the office was really pushy and rude. All she cared about was my money, when all I wanted was information. I went to another driving school, what a difference! Lessons were only a few dollars more, BUT I was treated nicely and it felt like a professional place.

I was always a nervous driver. I literally started shaking when I got behind the wheel of the car. But I need my license (public transportation is good for only so long…) so I signed up for All Seasons.
My instructor, Carlos, was excellent. I felt so much more confident and once I took my road test, I realized just how prepared I was. I’ve gone from a nervous driving student to a confident licensed driver who can’t wait to get behind the wheel. Definitely sign up for a ten-​lesson package, because they help build your skills and your confidence and you’ll be a licensed driver before you know it. They helped me sign up for my road test and took me to the test site, which was a HUGE plus, and I never thought I’d pass on the first try!
