Bayonne Fish Store

Fish is always fresh and store pretty clean for a fish market where they are cleaning fish all day. I will come all the way from Hillside NJ to get fish from here as none of the places by me compare to here. I came here when I lived in Jersey City and will continue to come until I move from Northern NJ.

This seems to be THE spot for the freshest seafood as far as I know. I could tell because of the heavy foot traffic in my brief 10 min there. Very extensive variety of fish and other seafood. Pleasantly surprised, they even had live blue crab in March which says alot if you know what I mean. I ordered the dz blue crabs ($ 11, Niccce) already cleaned… they steamed and seasoned them for me. To be honest they tasted horrible, they werent meaty and the shell were soft. I mean its not that disappointing since they are the same way at most places this time of year. So I will be back to give them a second chance. 3*‘s for having which is a rarity in itself. But if you want fresh fresh fish cleaned and or steamed right before your eyes definitely go here.
