Business Owner

Rick and his wife Amy took over ownership of Morty’s Pub in 2015. With their five children grown and moving out, the couple relocated from the Stillwater, MN area to the breezy shores of Lake Superior. Seeing Morty’s Pub in all its green glory was love at first sight. With Rick and Amy at the helm, the 80 years of success at Morty’s Pub is sure to continue. They look forward to meeting and serving the friendly folks of Bayfield and its visitors.

Nice bar. Sit at bar or tables. WhiteFish tacos and basket were very good. Other than no A/​C and cash only, it was good. We were there in the evening for just one drink and dinner over Labor Day weekend.

So happy we discovered such a nice bar while visiting the area. This place reminded me a lot of Whiteys in Stillwater for some reason and that is a good thing. If i lived locally I would be a regular. They have a nice selection of top shelf liquor and decent taps. The service was great and they have a jukebox. They have very comfortable bar stools and nice round top tables.

Nice place, no waiting, cold beer, it was yellow my wife’s was brown. Just making fun of the white bun and cheese was cheese nut job.

I visited during Apple Fest and there were only three things on offer — Apple Brats, beer and lip balm. Basically, those are the three things I need during any trip to Apple Fest so I was well-​pleased.
I’ll be honest, the Apple Brat was «ok» but the beer was cold and reasonably priced. And who doesn’t want commemorative Apple Fest lip balm, emblazoned with «Mort’s Pub» at a mere $ 1.25? Great for gifts!
Mort’s delivers solid food, at solid prices — I wouldn’t claim it’s the best in town but it’s not the worst.

Hate that their first review will be a sub par one but it is what it is.
Lunch review only —
I am sure it’s a great bar but the burger was bad and I was not the only one who thought so in or party. Patty had a precooked taste like it had been started then stored somewhere until ordering, bun was a white bun, cheese was cheese but that was it. Only redeeming quality to the lunch was the kettle chips.
Will say the service was solid for a lazy empty Friday afternoon.
