Description

Specialties

Explore the Islands peacefully!

Dreamcatcher Sailing provides sailboat rides, sailing charters, day trips and sailing school from Bayfield, Wisconsin in the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior.

We offer day trips, Mainland Sea Caves and Overnight Adventures from Bayfield & Cornucopia.

History

Established in 1998.

We started sailing in Bayfield when we moved here in 1995. Dreamcatcher, a Pearson 33′, was our first boat and we sailed her in the Apostle Islands for four seasons for fun. After learning a lot about sailing on Lake Superior, John got his captain’s license and we started Dreamcatcher Sailing. Day trips and overnights were our first sailing charters. In 2006, we purchased Esprit, our 34′ Tartan, and took over a business taking youth groups for overnight trips. 2007 was our first year with an office in downtown Bayfield, which we continue today, incorporating selling our Wolfsong Wear, Tervis Tumblers, Badger sunscreen & much more. In 2008 we purchased Egret, a 37′ Tartan. The summer of 2011 we added our 4th boat, Dragonfly, a Peason 385, to our fleet. These two boats offer plenty of room for family & youth group overnights. We are still a family owned charter company and are proud to have added several excellent staff including captains and a trip coordinator.
