Best sandwiches in town! My sister and I live in New York City, but Wannigan’s is the first place we go when we get to Bay City. The #7 is a long time favorite, and the #23 is great too!

I have t been in awhile(I heard it changed owners) but I’ve always had a really yummy sandwich from Wanigan! They catered my high school graduation party, and it was well received. My favorites are their vegetarian sandwich and the pasta salad. Prices are fair, and service is always good. They have a huge menu of sandwiches to choose from, and they also offer wraps, salads, soups, and other sides. It’s great to grab lunch, and I wish they had later hours.

Best sandwich north of Flint. Bread is fresh, meats and cheeses are perfectly sliced. Been going once a week for ten years, and have never had bad food or service.

I took my nephew to lunch here this week. It is such a cute little sandwich shop. I order the veggie wrap and my nephew ordered the Italian sub with six meats. The Greek dressing they put on the sandwiches is really yummy. We ordered take out and I think it would have been better if we stayed in. My wrap was not really rolled together so it was hard to travel. I will go back to try some of the soup. I saw someone walk by with some and it looked great!

So i ordered from This place for lunch, asked for delivery they said yes. Half way thru placing my order i was informed«sorry i guess he’s not delivering any more today». I say ok i will pick, i go pick up my order i stand at the counter and there are 4 employees being busy(understandable) about 5 feet away i am in full view and no one can acknowledge me! Finally one gal says hello i inform her i am picking up. Before i pay i inquire if my order is correct? Salad dressing in bag i ask twice am informed that it is i pay snd leave. Get to work no dressing!!! I call and inform them they say i will bring be there shortly they are 2 blocks away. They call back and inform me that they will not be bringing dressing they are to busy and it was checked there was dressing in bag!!! Must be invisible!!! Deplorable!!! We will not be ordering any thing from there again!!! Had i not been at work it may not have been a problem! Still unacceptable!!! No roll, no dressing!!! WTF!!!

I ordered what was basically a roast beef sub, and I was very satisfied with the taste. As far as proportion, the sandwich was very puny; I actually stopped by a BBQ place on the way home and got a pulled pork sandwich to go with, lol. It wasn’t the most cost effective, but that didn’t keep me from loving the flavorful snack. I’d probably return again in the near future, but intermission deli might be better.

Best Sandwich and soup spot in town, a must every time I’m in town. Make sure if you don’t like Miracle Whip to tell them and they will put real mayo in its place. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Outside: Could use a little help… Inside: A little confusing, the door and the counter do not line up and the manager’s desk in the middle of it all, weird and uncomfortable Food: Sandwiches/Deli Service: They know how to take your order and your money Cost: Less food than expected This should be a great review of a Bay City institution. I have lived in Bay City for 10 years, and the wife is from here. This is the first time that we have decided to visit. Disappointed:( I ordered a Pastrami and Smoked Turkey on sourdough. The wife had a chef salad. The sandwich was more bread than meat. Reading the other reviews this should have been the other away around. Traditionally sourdough bread is toasted, here not so much. Dry bread and no meat. This sandwich also had coleslaw on it, but I would not have known since there seemed to be very little and flavorless. The salad was okay. The thing that sealed the deal for a 2 was the pickle. I asked for one and the cost of the bill went up. The cost was not on the menu, and most deli’s you get a pickle. The total bill was $ 26. Really? For a sandwich and a salad. There are much better places for deli and service in Bay City. Give’em a pickle!!!

Sooooo many choices of sandwiches. For local business sub places, Wanigans and Intermission Deli in Bay City are two of my favorites. They have great soups too. They open at 7:30 am and close early…3pm. Go to: to get the menu selection. Always great service too.

My favorite deli anywhere of all time. High quality ingredients and lots of options. Fresh pasta salads and deserts, beer in the cooler. Comfortable back patio with a great view.

Only been there once so far. Me and mom had the turkey sandwiches, and our tummies hurt for over an hour as we tried to walk this sandwich off around the park afterwards. I think the inch thick, unremarkable turkey cold cuts was just too much for us. Personally I need more to a sandwich than just a ton of meat. Also my coleslaw didn’t taste especially fresh. Our stomachs were punished and we haven’t been back since.

As far as deli’s go in the Bay City area, this is as good as it gets. The sandwhiches are consistently excellent and made the exact same way every time. Definitely the best true deli in our area. Huge selection of sandwiches and a decent selection of salads. One of the best in the area for sure.
