Nice park. 1) It is pretty clean for a NYC park. 2) It is very relaxing area. 3) You can view Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Staten Island Ferry passing by.

Some of the best views in the city, with the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Staten Island Ferry passing by. Still gets some tourists, but nowhere near the throngs of Battery park a bit to the east. If you’re in the area after sunset or early in the morning, it’s incredibly quiet. Overall one of my favorite parks. Only knocked a star off for the awkward layout at the foot of the old fort. Could have been just a bit more green space there, but I know the layout of a centuries-old complex makes that difficult.

A park that offers incredible views over the Hudson River to Jersey City and the Statue of Liberty. It doesn’t feet too crowded though the bikes and skateboards are a bit annoying. Totally worth the view bit for some more peace, continue north to the South Cove park which is more secluded.

This is technically RFW Junior/Jr. park, but that yields zero results so yes, sure, this is the one with the nipples and a great view of NJ and Liberty Island.

Peaceful for a city that never stops for anyone

Just north of Battery Park, there is a small parcel of grassy land where people come to lay on the grass, eat their lunch, and to just enjoy the scenery of the Hudson River and Jersey. This place doesn’t get nearly the amount of foot traffic that Battery Park and the parks further up north get, since it is in a pocket at the south end of the Esplanade.
