The best part about sidebar are the craft cocktails by John Morris! The menu is pretty tasty as well, especially the flatbreads! the cheeseboard is pretty awesome with rotating cheeses. Apparently during happy hour, you can get house wines and cocktails for $ 7 and also a mini cheeseboard for half price. I absolutely adore the décor and chalkboard menu!

This review is coming from the standpoint of drinks only at this time as food is limited on this side at the establishment. We seem to gravitate more to this side lately and have always say at the bar. Talking about mane three or four trips in. With John and the team on hand it is fun to watch new libations being made, chat when they aren’t too busy and enjoy a nice ambience which is fairly quiet and relaxing. On occasion there is a combo playing some more mellow tunes in the front. Last trip in I had a new cocktail made with Falernum that they were literally getting instruction on from John when we came in. Nice smooth sophisticated concoction with dark rum took me to a little table at a bar in the Abacos to sip it. With Hemingway and Buffett along for the entertainment. Good beer selection as well. Cheese board is something we have had a couple of times at Happy Hour and it is a nice sidekick for the stars of the show, the libations. See y’all soon!

I just love sidebar, it’s a nice place to go for drinks and grab a quick bite to eat. They have live music on fridays. We ordered the kobe beef sliders which came with 2 slides and truffle chips on the side. Yummy! I’ll be back for sure.

Check out what all the buzz is about at this hip cocktail bar that has quickly emerged in Baton Rouge’s night life scene! Sidebar is a new addition to the expansion of Bin 77. If you know and love his style of cocktail mixology, you will be happy to find the menu has been doctored by master mixologist, himself: John Morris. I have had the pleasure of knowing this cocktail artiste for awhile now and am always impressed by what magical creation he comes up with next. Time and time again, I am blown away by what he pulls together in a glass. During my last visit, he crafted a cocktail tailored for my taste. With gin as my spirit of choice, the drink was made equisitely; it wasn’t too fruity nor flowery, but still refreshing! It also formed that feel-good buzz that you want after every fab drink(wink, wink)! This is a top-notch bar that opens its doors to the adjacent courtyard with plush seating, tables for groups and high tops just right for some post-workday and/or celebratory lounging. There is also an elaborate tapas and small plates menu available, if you want to take a few bites of something. Aaaaah, there is even an upstairs section that is available to rent for a private soirée. Gather your friends or firm up your date night plans to come here! I guarantee that some of your most happiest hours will be spent at Sidebar. Don’t delay any longer because you will be missing out on the fun at this trendy, hot bar in Baton Rouge!

Lamb sliders WERE excellent, but they’re discontinued… Boooooo! However, the duck confit quesadillas are ducking amazing. Whiskey selection is very good and they have limited but decent handles. Barkeep are friendly and have plenty of advice on the menu.
