Take it from me: ALWAYS order the chicken extra crispy. It’s not an option on the menu, but if you tell them you want it extra crispy, they’ll know what you mean. It takes longer to get out to you, and sometimes they’ll ask you to pull into one of the parking spaces so they can serve other customers, but they bring it out to you and it’s super crunchy and piping hot. These are the best chicken fingers bar none. The fries are meh but they serve as a great vehicle for that addicting sauce. The toast is tasty and even better when it’s sort of crispy. Since I’m attending LSU right now, I always try to get Cane’s whenever I have the time to walk over!

Fast Food — Chicken. Abbreviated menu is great. Texas Toast is great. Depending on the location you go to, the food is HOT and consistent. The one location I’d avoid is in Baton Rouge, LA on Drusilla Lane. I’ve been through years of getting cold food there. I can’t say that that has occurred at any other location. Their Canes sauce is amazing. No need for catsup. A winner in my book.

For Cane’s it was almost perfect. All too often Cane’s delivers a very inconsistent food and service experience at their plethora of locations, but the original did everything right. Now I understand why they went national, but I wish they did a better job replicating it everywhere. Go to the original to understand what Cane’s is trying to be nationwide.

I love the chicken finger box from raising canes located on highland road. I’m in the drive thru now and it’s a wrap around. The chicken is worth the wait.

I love me some Canes!!! I was a real treat to go to the original location. I am just as impressed by the chicken and fries like any of the other establishments. Ugh! Those chicken tenders are sooooooooo, get this, TENDER! Yummmmmmm! Canes also has some great fries! Don’t get me started on that french bread. That sweet tea is wonderful also. EVERYTHINGATCANESISDELLLLICOUS! Canes is literally one of my favorite restaurant While keeping it to its humble beginnings, the restaurant features many«vintage» things from back when Canes first opened. The walls are so beautiful. The booths are hilarious. I LOVETHISCANES!!!

All I can say is wow… This place definitely lives up to all of the hype. Being an LSU student I think it is super cool that the owner Todd graves went here as well. It is pretty neat that such a successful business started from a school project. As far as the location goes the original spot is off of highland blvd. The location has it’s own parking lot as well as a drive through. Although the building is not that big there are still enough seats available. Canes is not your typical food place that has multiple items on their menu. However, Canes offers one thing. And that one thing that they do offer they do a damn good job offering it. Chicken tenders is there specialty and they know that. If I could recommend the best thing on their menu it would be the big box combo. With this combo you get 4 strips of chicken, fries, cole slaw, toast and a soft drink. All in all I would definitely recommend Canes to anyone that is looking for something new. It is super convenient that they are open late at night as well.

Everything is awesome — chicken, fries, slaw and toast. BUT the sauce is what puts it over the top!!!

It’s just chicken fingers with sides… the chicken fry is crispy but it’s flavorless so it has to be dipped in their special sauce. The coleslaw taste more like cabbage soaked in heavy cream. The bread is doughy and soft. I’d rather go to Kfc where I could at least have other options and eat the chicken without worrying about the sauce.

If I had to choose between McD’s or Cane’s I’d definitely choose the latter.. . with that being said, Cane’s is nothing special. The tenders are a good product, but at over a buck each there’s no value to be had here. IMO, there should be some seasoning in the batter instead of a sole reliance upon the sauce for enhancement.

It’s it rated best #1 food place for LSU college kids like me! Lolz! The food is great when you’re not or is drunk! It’s comes right away. People will deliver your food right to you inside of the restaurant. I didn’t have to wait for a long time for 3 finger meal. Which is fries, tea, chicken, cane sauce and Texas toast. The price is reasonable as well. I paid $ 6.95

I moved to Miami, Florida and every time I visit home, Raising Cane’s is the FIRST place I dine at! The service as every location is amazing!

The original and the best. Now sure, it could just be some strange aura about them being the ORIGINAL location, or maybe because I’m excited to be on my road trip, but this Cane’s? This is the best. The chicken is so tender and juicy, so much more than my chain locations in Houston. Theories were risky, the bread was buttery, the sauce was heavenly and it was all served elegantly plated on a black platter. Funny to order the Box and have it delivered on a plate, but whatever. If you are driving through Louisiana make a stop at Chicken Mecca!

A lot of the time, I feel this Cane’s overcooks the chicken. The most recent time I was here, though, it was essentially perfect. As far as Cane’s locations go, this one is a little above average.

Prices constantly rising, chicken constantly shrinking. I love fried chicken, but you’ll get better value at Popeye’s and Church’s.

Hey out-of-towners! Familiar with Zaxby’s? Well, this place is a trimmed down menu and hyped up facsimile of it, with the added benefit of unseasoned food! Well, not exactly… take the nice salty spice blend of Zaxby’s and replace it, salt and all, with MSG(oh, there’s a brand name, I just can’t recall). As I write this review, however, I’ve given it two extra stars from what I initially wanted to. 1: Fresh chicken. Never had a cold plate of food. 2: that damned ice! It’s sonic ice! 3: they treat their employees rather well, giving them off every major holiday, which is frankly badass.

OK, so this is my 2nd review of Cane’s one trick pony chicken fingers restaurant. I reviewed one in Houston before, and when you’re on the road and you get off the highway in BTR and are in a hurry to get going again, I guess you eat at Cane’s as there isnt much else on a busy street in this town and this restaurant is where this stuff originated… whoo-eeee! I truly do not comprehend all the 5 star reviews for this place. I don’t understand how ANY chicken sandwich restaurant is worthy of 5 stars. Do the people in BTR ever eat at a real restaurant? Cane’s serves good chicken fingers and THATISALL. No salads, no other chicken dishes, not even a regular chicken sandwich that has a breast, not fingers on it. The creativity on their menu is about zero. In addition, their prices are high, and their menu is idiotic. I could not even get a CF sandwich on a bun with the 4 pieces of chicken and fries and slaw without jacking with the menu. They wanted to charge me $ 1.50 extra for the bun… are you kidding me? How this place has grown and proliferated all over LA and TX,(and I suspect other states) is beyond me. But when you want a quick chicken sandwich, what else is there?

One in the ham, and 2 in the GODDAMN! Raising Cane’s Restaurant #1. The original. What started off as a failed business school project at LSU has turned into a mini-empire of Chicken strips. Louisiana born and bred, it has now spread to 15 states. Most of the locations in college towns. Big boneless crispy chicken strips, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and Cane’s Sauce. What the locals usually get is extra Texas toast or extra Cane’s Sauce or both and sub out the coleslaw. The sauce is crack… some combination of ketchup/may/worcestershire/garlic powder. It even comes up on Google’s instant search when you type in Cane’s. You can’t go ever go wrong with Louisiana born food ideas.

I’ve been obsessed with Raising Cane’s going on 9 years now. When I first discovered it I ate it everyday for a week. When I woke up from that dream, I cut down to just once a week. In the last couple of years I have cut down to once a month. Regardless of all the changes in their prices and portions, I will probably still love them(it’s called inflation, it effects everybody, get over it). Unlike most people however, I am a fan of their honey mustard sauce. Most people don’t know it exists, but it does, and it is super yummy. I don’t mind the Cane’s sauce, but I prefer the honey mustard. I think the sweetness goes really well with the saltiness of the food.
