These people are crooks! !! To 6 months to get our truck back… then charged us 1800 over what we agreed to… I hope this place goes out of business… I plan on getting a lawyer. The girl Devin that answers the phone pretends to be helpful… but she is nothing more than a big mouth pouring out lies and deception. … good luck owens collision… you conned hard working people out of thier hard earned money. People beware!!! Thier promises are false.

If I could give negative stars, I would! This place is a scam and full of con artist. It’s been almost a month since my boyfriend bought our car there and it’s been hell ever since. First, they ask us to sign over the insurance check so they can start repairs on our vehicle, only to be told by the insurance company that the car is totaled because they want $ 9,000 to fix the vehicle. He went to recover the car and check only to be told they charged us $ 1,800 just for parts and a break down. We haven’t seen any parts, and hardly any work to the car except the bumper is off the car. We have been given the run around since day one. The insurance company can’t do anything about this because they have already cashed the check. Also, we decided just to take the remainder of the amount for the total lost of our vehicle, but can’t get the remainder of that money because they haven’t given the insurance company the remainder charges. What could possibly cost more money when clearly nothing has been done to the vehicle besides what’s necessary for the estimate. After reading several other reviews that’s very similar to ours, I plan to pursue legal action. We can not keep allowing this company to continue scamming consumers.

Why oh why oh why did I not check the Unilocal reviews about this place first?!
They quoted my car at one price; and turned around and gave me another invoice at the end asking for more money for something I wasn’t consulted for. Also, I understand that things happen and can delay the time for the car to finish… but a 2wk job turned it a 7wk job. And when I DID get my car back, I told them the bumper wasn’t even. They said I was wrong, and it was even. I would not recommend them; not even for a brake change.
Only good thing: they offered me a can of Sprite at the initial consult and even open the door to walk me out. I didn’t get the same when I made an observation note when I got my car back. :(
Edit/​Update: I removed the watch incident bc I have no proof that it occurred on the site. Also, Devon, the manager, contacted me to resolve the issue. We appreciated that gesture.

The positive is the work got done. The negative is it took awhile to complete after wrong parts were ordered. To discuss the status of the car, I had to make an appointment — I couldn’t just walk in and check on anything or they got mad. The worst part is they charged me even more than the insurance would cover. So I not only paid the insurance deposit, I had to pay more to the body shop if I wanted my car back. This did not make me happy. The only person who was easy to talk to was the body shop manager. After my incident, I wouldn’t recommend them either.

After 42 day, I got my car back. I had minor damage to the rear bumper. Owens Collision blamed the Insurance Agency and Allstate blamed Owens.
The work was done great, it took 42 days! It was a small ding on the rear bumper.
I have rental car coverage for 30 days. The 12 days they went over, I am responsible for. My car sat for many days, untouched. This was not a good experience. Use caution.

Avoid this place. They WILL NOT return your calls. I took my car in for a minor repair and it’s taken 4 weeks and I still don’t have a status.

Avoid this shop. They are rude, unprofessional, and lie to you.
They told us that they would not perform any work without running the estimate by us, and then they proceeded to perform work without our permission. They have now had our truck for over a month, and will not even give us a status update. When I call for a status update, they say they will get back with me but never do. I’m wondering if I will ever get our truck back.
Seriously, if you need body work, go somewhere else. Anywhere else but here.
