Established in 2006.

I have over 18 years of experience riding and working with horses. I love sharing the experience with others. I focus on safety and making sure people are aware of horse behavior so that we can have a fun and safe experience.

I have been giving riding lessons for over 8 years and in that time I have worked with children with differences such as: ADD, ADHD, Bi-​polar, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Sensory Defensiveness and Autism. I worked briefly as an assistant guide in a Montessori preschool. For children my style is to encourage my them to do as much as they can for themselves and when they need help, I am there to help them. My approach to teaching horseback riding is patient and firm yet fair. The main rule at ROR is we never say «I can’t.» I promote self-​talk that is positive with an attitude of «I can do it.» I ask that students problem solve and try for themselves and help them when needed. It is such a joy for both the student and the teacher when the student is able to do the task all by themselves.

I also enjoy teaching adults to ride and love to take intermediate and advanced riders out to parks around Bastrop.
