Very good burger. I like the fries, but opinions vary in my house. Free ice cream is a great touch.

Where do I start? This is the best burger spot in the high Rockies by far. My fiancée and I make the drive to Sure Thing in Basalt from Aspen and it is totally worth it. Not only is the food awesome, but the staff is extremely friendly and their customer service is outstanding. We have been here a couple times now and amazingly, the owner remembered us which prompted a welcoming conversation. Both times I’ve been here I ordered the ranchero burger with a fried egg and it is to die for. The portions are great, I’m a big guy and I haven’t left hungry yet. The fries are also excellent. They have a great beer selection, I am a very happy customer who will DEFINITELY be back again and again. I highly recommend Sure Thing for anyone who loves fine burgers and craft beers.

Love this place. Salads are fabulous. The veggi burger with no bun is the best. Yummy fries too. Okay the burgers are great too. So I’ve heard. I’m vegetarian. My favorite veggi burger anywhere.

Their veggie burger is THEBEST! It’s seriously to die for. It’s not your boring Boca burger or black bean burger. It’s a mixture of heaven and sin. Fries are always cooked well and their milkshakes are delish! Staff are SO friendly and accommodating. You order your food at the counter and then grab your table. They’ll call your name or bring it to you, depending on how busy it is. They have wifi if you want to do some work there.

Just ate here for the first time, after being in the neighborhood and hearing great things. The employees were friendly and enthusiastic, the food was incredible and it is an overall great place. The attention to detail is awesome, with the finely shredded lettuce to juicy beef and soft brioche buns. Awesome place, a must try when in Basalt.

The best burger in the Roaring Fork Valley! It might be the best in the state of Colorado. Juicy and loaded — can’t get much better than this.

Good spot to grab a quick bite. Burgers were tasty(on the greasy side) and the fries had nice crunch. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Dude. What the fack. I went to Sure Thing Burger back in 2013 when it was on Maui, and our entire group agreed that it was probably the best meal that we had while we were there. I’m not even much of a burger fan, but the Ben Bear is and he insisted we put this on the list. It was one of the few times in our relationship when I was wrong and the Ben Bear was right, but the burger was so good I couldn’t even be passive aggressive about it. It was so good that two of the people in our group actually sneaked away during our trip and went BACK to Sure Thing Burger. In retrospect, I would have done the same, if I had known what would happen. Fast forward two years later and the same group of friends is going back to Maui and I’m planning the gastronomic portion of our trip. At the top of my list was to go back the burger place, but I had forgotten the name. I googled«burger Maui», assuming that it would be at the top of the search results, but nothing sounded familiar. However, a deeper look into my email archives yielded the name of the burger joint, Sure Thing Burger. Strangely, though, googling Sure Thing Burger kept leading me to a restaurant in COLORADO, and I was like, this can’t be right. BUTALAS. Even more intensive googling uncovered the information that Sure Thing had moved from Amazing Tropical Paradise, Maui, Hawaii, USA to COLO-FRICKIN-RADO. I literally went through the five stages of grief upon this discovery. Stage 1 — Denial: «This…this is a mistake. This Colorado Sure Thing Burger can’t be the Maui Sure Thing Burger. It must be some other Sure Thing Burger, and the Maui Sure Thing Burger is still doing a brisk business in Lahaina. There’s no way that the owners would just close up shop and move to COLORADO. THERE’S NOFCKINGWAY.» Stage 2 — Anger: «WTF. MYWHOLETRIPISRUINEDANDMYLIFEISOVER.» Stage 3 — Bargaining: «Well maybe… maybe there’s another burger place that will be just as good. Maybe I’ll try Cheeseburger in Para — no, F*CKTHAT.»(I may not have completely moved past Stage 2.) Stage 4 — Depression: «GOD, WHAT’S THEPOINT? What’s the point of putting any sort of effort into our eating plan? I might as well just eat stale poi for every meal. Eating anything besides a Sure Thing burger will only turn to ashes in my mouth. Is there even any point in going to Lahaina at all? I hope it washes into the sea and takes me with it.» Stage 5 — Acceptance: «Well, I guess that’s it, then. I’m going to Basalt, Colorado.» Anyway, I apologize for the histrionics, I wrote this within 20 minutes of discovering that Sure Thing Burger Maui is no more, so the emotions were still raw and tensions were running high. I don’t know where Basalt, Colorado is, but I’m willing to make a special trip out there just to eat at Sure Thing Burger one last time. Is it near Denver or Boulder or any place cool? Just don’t suddenly move to Nebraska. I’m not going there. Thank you.

My husband and I had great hamburgers! Juicy and tasty. The buns are excellent. Very accommodating staff. Good beer. We were there on taco Tuesday and shared one muy Bueno. Will go back on a Tuesday and get tacos. I think there was a beer special with a taco. Nice outdoor seating too.

I like the burger, it’s too small and expensive but, good. What disgusted me was watching the girl who finished the burgers. She was touching her face and hair, using her cell phone, and eating with her fingers and then toasting buns and picking up lettuce with those same UNWASHED hands. That would throw down a bunch of demerits from the health inspector. Somebody needs to teach Sure-thing about proper food handling.

It may be on the pricier side, but the burgers and fries are well worth it! The buns are better than any I have ever tried. The meat is juicy and flavorful. Their fountain beverage machine has superb ice pellets instead of cubes. Yum! Oh boy, my food is ready! Gotta go stuff my face!

Prices reasonable, staff is friendly. Stopped for a quick lunch. I was happy that the service was indeed quick. Ordered the veggie burger minus the apple mayo(don’t care for fruity stuff in my food). Had them add some bacon to it(everything is better with bacon). Interesting veggie patty with a great deal of flavor. Bacon was crisp, tomato was actually red, lettuce crisp. I judge a burger(beef, turkey, or veggie) by its need for cheese and mustard. This one needed neither. Plenty of flavor without. Enjoyed a left hand stout with my lunch. I love a place that offers more than IPA.

Burger was juicy. Boyfriend thought it was cooked just right but I would’ve preferred another minute on the grill. I liked the fries but boyfriend was disappointed because he said that the fries should be fresh cut in a restaurant such as this. Staff was friendly.

More chunks of cartilage and bone in that beef than a mcdonalds big mac. Ordering a $ 1.50 side of «avocado» with your sandwich means you get a layer of thin guacamole smeared on the bun. $ 9.15 for a four ounce burger.

This place makes a really tasty burger. Beef, turkey, and veggie burgers are your only choices, but all are done extremely well. A little pricey for the size, however they also have a pretty sweet selection of craft beers on the cheap. Will totally be coming back!
