Tattered Tiques is a «Pop-​up» shop… open 2 to 3 weekends a month, and every Tuesday. We sell Antique, Shabby, Vintage, Farm, and Industrial.

As well as, handmade and seasonal goods. We offer two different paint lines, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. We offer classes once a month on how to use the paints. Home of the «Vintage Girl» t-​shirt. The perfect junking companion! Come check us out.

History

Established in 1999.

This shop is family run, by a mother and her two daughters. It all started in Iowa years ago. Farm Auctions on the weekends got us hooked on collecting and selling. We then sold at area antique and vintage markets. We have been in our current Lake Barrington space for almost 4 years now! We introduced Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint three years ago. Painted furniture has become our specialty. We travel the Midwest on closed weekends in search of new treasures.

I run the shop with my mom and sister. We have been collecting, creating and traveling together for years. I live in my «Vintage Girl» t-​shirt because it’s so comfy, and I always look forward to our next picking trip.
