Great, clean food. Little spot with bar seats and music. Love the breakfast, The toast is great.

We had Bill and crew cater a party and it couldn’t have gone better. Bill and staff were very available to discuss the menu, quantities and timing. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The restaurant is equally down to earth with excellent food.

I live in CT came here to visit a friend. I had the basic breakfast with bacon and it was delicious! Very friendly staff, nice location, overall a great morning. They were even more helpful by splitting our bill three ways!

Love this place! Visiting from Houston and Leon’s was a great experience. The food is delicious and fresh. Homemade bread makes even the toast memorable. Friendly staff, too. Wish we had a Leon’s back home.

Great little gem in Barrington. I recently ordered quiche for a party. The owner answered the phone on his day off, took my order and even made suggestions as to what might be a delicious quiche. Needless to say, my guests raved about it. It looked beautiful and tasted homemade. DELISH! I’ve had lunch here several times and every time it is spot on. The interior has been redesigned with a nice bar and they now serve beer and wine. Chef Bill tells me they will start serving dinner again in May! I highly recommend this great café — service is excellent and you will not be disappointed with your meal.

Stopped in for breakfast, and was largely ignored by the staff. The place was nearly empty, and when I finally got the owner/chef’s attention, he proceeded to point to the sign above my head that indicated take out orders, in a short tempered and rude fashion. I quickly wished him a good day and walked out. The food could be great, but I won’t darken his door anytime soon.

Very good food but the only problem is that there is no hood for their kitchen and the kitchen grill is in the seating area. Your cloth will be soaked on all the kitchen smells and you got to wash them afterwards. Problem is more complicated if u obviously have a coat. It is too bad. I want to go again for the food but the smell problem is daunting!

Great food. Great music. It’s fun watching a chef dance while preparing. He puts that passion into his food.

Great little breakfast place! My favorite is the different omelette special every day. Today was a meat lovers. Limited menu but plenty of options. The seating is limited as well, but it is never an issue. All the food is amazing we have tried six different things and they all were yummy. Very friendly staff including owner who is out front cooking all the time. They do lunch and take out as well but I have never tried it.

We are in town for a family vacation. We were new customers at Leon’s but chose it for the great reviews on Unilocal and Trip Advisor. It’s just a small intimate café but cheery, clean and cute. The breakfast selections were wonderful, all tempting and not an overload to choose from. Just right! All homemade from scratch. I had the fresh corned beef hash with poached eggs, fresh home made home fried potatoes, fruit and a whole grained English muffin. My husband had a wonderful fresh garden omelette with great grade sausage patties. Out 2 adult sons had a grill sampler also yummy! Bill was very personable and watching him cook our breakfast was a treat. He obviously enjoys his craft! Don’t miss this place for a great fresh meal!

Hands down, the best breakfast in Barrington. The menu is simple, and short, making it easy to decide. The french toast was the best I’ve ever had. Two different types of eggs benedict, both amazing. And the mixed grill was out of this world. Service was also fantastic. There are only two things I’d change. The coffee was terrible. Watered-down, dunkin-donuts flavor stuff. For a little extra $, they should at least get a rich deep roast, and double the amount of beans in their brew. It could be the water, too, but the coffee was unfortunately the worst I’ve ever had. The only other thing was the jams and jellies. Grape jelly doesn’t do the amazing breakfast any justice. The toast was perfect. To slather smucker’s jelly on it is to slap its buttery face. If they at least get some berry preserves, it’ll be a huge step up. That’s it. This place is amazing. I’ll be back again and again.

Very pleased with my first visit to Leon’s. Came for lunch on a Saturday while on my hour lunch break. So many options on the menu looked tasty, including a curried chicken salad sandwich and pulled pork. Decided to go with the pesto chicken sandwich which came with a side of a delicious mayo based potato salad that was far above your typical side potato salad and included dill and shredded carrots. Service was helpful and friendly. I ordered at the counter and they brought the food to the table. It took about 10 minutes for my sandwich to arrive and when it did I was immediately impressed with how good it looked and the quality of the food. I’ve stopped going to Blue Kangaroo because I’ve found the quality and service doesn’t match the price and Leon’s does! I work in town and my co workers had been telling me to try this place out. I’m so glad I did. I’ll be back to try breakfast and more lunch breaks.

Would have given this place more stars, but they didn’t have gluten-free toast options and asked for double home fries instead. My husband also had home fries with his breakfast. Our order size was the same. I asked if this was doubled, waitress said sorry and brought me more then charged me 4.50 for them. When I asked about it she said it was already doubled so charged me more without talking to me about it, very poor service.

From the moment I entered and was pleasantly greeted by the owner and staff I knew this place was for me. Amazing menu of exotic foods and regular standards I chose a omlette and bacon with a side of black coffee. everything I ordered was served quickly and to perfection. This place blows away the below average diners that surround it.

This new place is great! Definitely a hidden gem on waseca avenue in Barrington! I went one day in The afternoon and got a meatball sandwhich on the home baked baguette and it was great! The meatballs were home made and delicious! Then I got a side of the pasta with asparagus and pesto and it was awesome! This place was so great I went the next day to get a breakfast sandwhich. The breakfast sandwhich bar allows you to put a wide variety of meats and cheeses on any type of bread. I got a ham egg and cheese on freshly baked white tosay and it was easily the best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had. They gave home fries on the side and they were great! Definitely recommend this place to a friend! The prepared foods were great and the place was clean with friendly servers.
