Bar Harbor / Woodlands KOA

Je déconseille ce camping aux personnes avec une tente.
Notre emplacement était situé au milieux des camping car, avec la climatisation tournant toute la nuit. Autant dire que nous avons vite oublié le côté nature!
À cela s’ajoute la route qui est proche est passante. Nous avons entendu les voitures passer toute la nuit.
Les sanitaires sont vieux et sales.
Bar Harbor et le parc sont à 15 minutes de route.
À 40 $ la nuit c’est cher payé l’emplacement!

I just returned from three wonderful nights at this site! Stayed in a terrific cabin (only $ 45 per night!) and enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and quiet of the location. The cabin was comfortable and the site manager loaned us an electric heater for the chillier nights. No problems with any bugs or fire ants as other posters described, and the bathrooms were very well-​maintained. The wi-​fi is spotty, but what do you expect? You’re in the woods. Reception is best at the registration office or in the game room, which is open ²⁴⁄₇. There is also laundry and a heated pool. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the park and 15 minutes to Bar Harbor. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice location with a bay view, but at 70 $ a night for a tent site, it doesn’t worth it. Our spot was right in front of a swamp, so hello mosquitos. Wi-​Fi was not working well. This campground is too small and too crowded. If you’re looking for a natural place to set-​up your tent, this is not the camping you are looking for. Location is about 10 minutes by car away from Acadia National Park and 15 to Bar Harbour.
This place is too expensive for what you will get here. I do not recommend.

I was very pleased with my camping trip here at woodlands Koa! It was my first time camping and I had a very enjoyable time! I did not have any issues with mosquitos as someone else commented (a bit of an ant problem).I love the feel of the campsite. They really made it feel as if you are in the middle of nature! They have plenty of sites including cabins, RV hookups and tent sites (even isolated sites surrounded only by trees). Everyone was friendly and accommodating. But the bathrooms were typical campground bathrooms and need renovation and more places to put your stuff. I had a blast and I’m going again next summer!
