Trenton Flooring and Furniture is a full service furniture and flooring store. We offer set up and delivery on all of our furniture and mattresses. Our flooring department has hundreds of products including carpet, hardwood, laminate flooring, ceramic tile, and vinyl flooring as well as a huge selection of area rugs. We have the largest inventory of flooring in the Ellsworth and Bar Harbor area. We offer free estimates and professional installation on all of our flooring products.

History

Established in 1981.

Trenton Flooring and Furniture evolved from a store called The Bargain Barn. The Bargain was purchased by George Wallace in 1981. At that time is was a general store with a variety of items ranging from groceries to new furniture and a wide variety of used products. Wright Wallace (Georges’ son) began working full time at the store in 1990. At that time the store began focusing on selling primarily new furniture and flooring items. Between 1194 and 2000 three expansions were built. In 1994 there wa a 2700 sq/​ft addition built to accomidate the growing business. In 1997 there was a 3600 sq/​ft wharehouse with some show room space was addad. In the year 2000 another 1000 sq/​ft addition was added to the front of the building and the name of the business was changed from The Bargain Barn to Trenton Flooring and Furniture. George Wallace retired in 2007 and the store is now owned and operated by his son Wright Wallace. The business continues to grow, and improve to this day.
