I wish I can rate them 0 stars!!! This was the worst experience of my life. When I scheduled the appointment, spoke with a gentleman who gave me a quote based on the time the mileage the items that I had to pack. I told them it was a 3 bedroom house, and everything that was in the home. I was given a quote of $ 855, with a two man crew for five and a half hours. Anything over five and a half hours will be charged at $ 123 per hour with a two man crew. The lady called me back the next day to get the deposit $ 150. She told me the movers will bring me coffee and will arrive between 8 and 10 AM, but since I was the first customer they will probably be at my home at 8 a.m. They did not show up to my home until 10:18 a.m., with no coffee in hand. The gentleman looks through my home and tells me it’s going to be $ 1,500 to move my furniture. He said that it was going to be about a seven and a half hour job which I was quoted five and a half hours. I do understand that this is a quote and you cannot determine how many hours is going to take over the phone until you actually see the items. He told me it was going to be seven and a half hours with a three man crew at $ 204 per hour. I advised that is not what I was quoted, so I pulled out my quote and show them everything that was done in writing. He then called his boss Jason and explain to him the situation so that Jason asked to speak to me and became very irate unprofessional and began to yell. I asked Jason are you going to give me a chance to speak? Better in a very condescending manner he tells me go ahead let me hear what you got to say! I advised to Jason what was quoted to me to and I quote. He then asked to speak to that leader and told them that he would agree to move me for the $ 855, and each additional hour at $ 183 which still would have been about $ 1,200 at seven and a half hours. That lead guy comes back in and says I’m going to try to work with you I’m going to speak with Jason again and see if we can figure this out. He goes outside and talk to Jason and comes back in my home and says my boss said for us just to leave. So I ask when do I get my deposit back he said deposits are non-​refundable, I said well you cancelled on me why should I get my deposit back. I called Beltway Movers, and listen everything in my home and they gave me a quote and the same ballpark. Here is a screenshot of both quotes same items given to me, but when you move me came to my house the price doubled.

I have moved several times in my life and my experience with You Move Me was the worst. To begin with I was quoted over the phone a rate that was about $ 20 less than what was actually sent to me. I call to clarify thinking it was not a big deal but I wanted to make certain of what I was paying for, and was told they would honor the rate that I was first quoted. The guys who came to pick up our furniture were great. I commend them as they seemed very careful of our belongings. We ended up having to store our furniture with them for a couple of days because of set backs in our move. That is were things went drastically down hill. The only one of the three men who came to deliver our furniture was actually really working and seemed to care about our stuff. The other guys would bring boxes into the house and set them down with no regard to where we instructed them to go and no regard for if it was a fragile box. The previous movers had to unhook my treadmill to move it out the door. I was promised that it would be put back together but this did not happen. After they got all my furniture in our house instead of trying to help me put things back together like I was told they would the other two men kept saying we are off the clock. Then they preceeded to charge me twice what the move was quoted for. When we called the company to clarify way the rate difference I was told that the lower rate is the baltimore rate and the higher rate is dc. I was never told this when I made the reservation and my quote did not specify this difference, especially when I was told the company would honor the rate I was given. If they can’t stand by their own word I wouldn’t work with them again. On top of that we had several things broken. I have china that we have moved half way across the country and never lost a piece until now. Use this company at your own risk.

This company is a mixed bag… some workers are honest, hardworking people while others simply knock your stuff around because they don’t care about the damage they cause! The management is abysmal and there is virtually no communication between upper management and the operations side. All of this I have experience through a 4-​month long (and still going) claim to have damages repaired. They’re SNAKES and have ZERO INTEGRITY! Biggest waste of money since I’ve lived in Baltimore and WE ALL KNOW there are a lot of places to waste money in this neck of the woods… Don’t be fooled by their bright green polo shirts because there is nothing professional about them at all. This company is nothing more than a ragtag group of disgruntled employees kicking boxes around the greater Baltimore area 7 days a week!
WHEN they damage your valuables (not IF, but WHEN) go ahead and try your luck with getting it all repaired and let me know how it goes. Phones ring with no answer, people get fired and nobody continues your damage claim, people quit monthly. The quality of employee they attract are people who do NOT care about what they do, they’re your typical, I-​hate-​my-​job kind of people. Heed this advice and just find somebody else.

Use this company at your own risk. It was easily the worst moving experience I have ever had. My fiancée used the New Jersey based You Move Me and had a very positive, professional experience. She convinced me to use the Baltimore based You Move Me because we were in a time crunch.
1. The young men charged with moving us show up without the proper tools to dismantle our bed frame. So they convince us to allow them to return the next day (Saturday) to move the bed frame with the proper tools. When we call the young men who moved us; they proceed to not answer our calls all day Saturday and Sunday. We had to sleep on a mattress on the floor until Monday. It wasn’t until we contacted the general manager (who was responsive to our concerns) that our bed frame got moved.
2. The movers showed up without enough packing materials (boxes etc.) So much so that the movers proceeded to place our clothing and belongings in GARBAGE bags as a part of our move.
3. My fiancée and I lived in a 2 bedroom apt. Our move was projected to take 4.5 hours. In all it took 10 HOURS! And of course we were paying by the hour.
4. They broke, chipped and damaged things… many many things. Expensive picture frames were scuffed, a mirrored floor to ceiling wardrobe cracked and is now trash.
5. The movers didn’t label a SINGLE BOX so as we unpacked it was a surprise as to its contents. WE had to move boxes upstairs or downstairs in our new town house after they had left.
6. When we called the «shift manager» about our concerns about the time the move was taking and the exorbitant cost of the per hour move he said «what do you want me to do?» and proceeded to tell my fiancée they would «CALL THE POLICE» if we didn’t pay the full amount. I was later told this is standard policy.
AND FINALLY the icing on the cake
7. They stole from us. A month after the move and going through all the boxes. 2 bottles of cologne ($ 80 – 100 each) are missing as are 4 DVDs. Were good people. We tipped these guys after the move, even though they didn’t deserve it; we purchased food for them after the move, when we didn’t have to and upon finally unpacking all the boxes realizing THEY STOLE FROM US just makes me FURIOUS.
The only bright spot in this disaster was that the GENERAL manager was very responsive to our complaints he discounted a portion of the move. But this BY NO MEANS makes up for what happened. My fiancée and I will NEVER use this company again and USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

So, it ended up that I moved on a Monday rather than Saturday with YMM. While the experience was a headache, I would like to compliment them on their response and resolution to the situation. Each person I spoke with at the main YMM headquarters was helpful and understanding about the situation and did their absolute best at getting things moving. I would also like to thank Jason, one of the managers and partners, for the effort to fix the problems and sincere apologies. The two movers I did end up with were also fantastic — efficient, professional, and very helpful in dealing with a cranky property manager.
I think I just happened to have a very unfortunate, but one off experience with YMM. The way in which they responded to the snafus was fast and satisfactory, and why I felt the need to upgrade my rating.

This is an updated review. After posting I was contacted by the manager of You Move Me, who listened to my concerns and agreed to refund us the amount it costs for the damage to the walls and the removal of the couch from the basement. I appreciated their responsiveness and as I stated before, they did a good job packing, worked hard, showed up on time and had reasonable prices on boxes and materials. I am guessing they are fine for local moves. our move was perhaps more complex.

Had a great moving experience on 8÷15÷15 with You Move Me in Baltimore. Xavier, Ryan and Forman were awesome, professional, courteous and funny. They never gave me the feeling they were doing something they didnt expect to do and went above and beyond to pack everything I had not and even helped my husband with some other work in the new house. They were a real pleasure. I had booked a flat rate in advance so there was no wondering what would be charged at the end of that very hot and exhausting day.

I had a really great experience with You Move Me Baltimore! The movers were honest, professional, fast and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and the quote was spot on– even a bit less than we expected. I highly recommend them and would certainly use them again. Moving is usually a really stressful time for anyone but You Move Me made it easy.

) and they were amazing. They squeezed me in on a busy moving day (July 1) when I only called a few days in advance. Not only that, but I ended up having to change my moving route several times because I was having craigslist furniture picked up from multiple locations and taken to my new home. Every time I called the service representative was helpful and friendly. When the time to move came around, I had added on quite a bit of furniture to be picked up compared to my original quote, but the movers stayed late until everything was done. All of my furniture was nicely set up and nothing was broken, and the pricing was absolutely fair and in line with what I was quoted. You Move Me Baltimore made my move super easy and stress-​free, and I will definitely use them again in the future. To top it all off, I was actually still in California when the move happened, and they coordinated with a friend of mine who met them at the pickup location in Baltimore!

I have to say — You Move Me (Baltimore) was the best moving experience I’ve ever had. It wasn’t because everything went perfectly (we had a few mishaps, some of which were our fault), but it was because the owner of You Move Me, Brian T., was AMAZING. When we mentioned our hiccups, he called immediately to learn more and assure me of his commitment to our satisfaction; he checked in regularly to ensure that we didn’t need anything else; and he went above and beyond to make sure every hiccup was fixed (most of the time, it was better than fixed). I actually can’t say enough good things about him and his crew, who were professional and friendly the entire time.
Most of the time, moves are stressful, hectic, and tiring. With You Move Me, it was easy and painless, and I knew at every step of the way that they had my satisfaction at heart. When anything went wrong, they went above and beyond to fix it — and I don’t know any other moving company that would do so. If you’re considering moving, you should ABSOLUTELY consider You Move Me. It was the best decision we made!

I was quoted $ 293 to $ 413 for my move. When they showed up the said they wouldn’t be able to hit that price. I did everything I could do keep costs down (didn’t take their boxes, didn’t have them pack my kitchen or clothes) but the move still came out to $ 953.
This website lures you in with a cheap price quote but then charge at a very high rate. There’s no way they could have ever hit $ 293. They charge $ 200 just for showing up (before any hourly rate kicks in, there’s a $ 200 base charge).
My movers were nice but I just cancelled my sister’s move with them and found someone who would work at less than half their hourly rate. Not only that, the new guys took better care of her belongings. Her base rate of $ 235 included the first two hours…
If you can’t find a better deal than these guys, you’re blind.

I had the pleasure of having Tim, Brian, And Chris move my house into storage. This was the first leg of a move and I was assured that this crew will move the second leg of the move for me as well! They called before they came, asked if I needed any boxes for extra packing, and were attentive to everything I asked. I hope I wasn’t too much of a pain in the ass, I tried not to be. The guys were very fast, efficient, and did it all with a smile. I know if I had to move stuff, I wouldn’t be that way. They shaved off about 2 hours off the estimate which was wonderful. Thanks guys. I will recommend to everyone and I will see you again in 2 weeks or so!
