Urban Baby is an online cool boutique for kids from the newly born to 8 years. We specialize in unique labels with a modern vibe and edgy look. Indie brands are our specialty. More than just clothing and accessories, we have a great collection of toys and books and select organic skin products. We focus on the earth friendly, child safe, great design elements and seek out mom & pop owned brands whenever possible.

Our infant and kid fedoras remain our best seller and Chewbeads modern teething jewelry for Moms are currently one of the more popular baby shower gifts. Kids love our Robot & Ninja matryoshkas.

History

Established in 2006.

Urban Baby Runway is a single mother owned and operated children’s boutique in Baltimore and all over the web. The idea of Urban Baby Runway came to me shortly after the birth of my son Julian in 7.2005. Almost a year later in 6.2006, Urban Baby Runway was born.

Urban Baby Runway started from a love of all things baby and a desire to keep my mind active during the downtime of being a stay at home parent. However, it turns out there really isn’t any downtime of being a stay at home parent and so the busy, child wrangling days and the late night work began. Strictly online and home based, UBR allowed me to stay home with my son.

Urban Baby Runway grew rapidly and before you know it, my son was off to school and UBR was moving out of the house and in to it’s very own brick & mortar. The Urban Baby store front in Baltimore (Hampden) opened September, 2010.

We carry what we love and try to support small businesses. UBR keeps my family going so we’re thankful for the support we receive.
