The Crescent at Fells Point by Windsor

This is the best place to live in Fells Point. This is my fourth year at The Crescent. They are very resident friendly. They are always upgrading. They do things to make the residents feel appreciated and welcome. Great staff.

Amazing apartment rented back in 2013. The staff were friendly and so helpful. I would love to have stayed longer, one summer was not enough.

First the bad news… after living at the Crescent of 9 months I’ve accepted a new job and need to move. The Crescent was my 2^nd home for the past 9 months. After living in many cites, apartments and hotels… in my somewhat transient lifestyle, I will miss my apartment, home and community at the Crescent.
The good news… I’ve read several posts complaints regarding fire alarms, dogs, rent escalations, etc. and find each to be authored by someone with an agenda or has never lived independently in an apartment community. In my opinion, the Crescent is a world class value based on location, amenities, finishes, service and maintenance. A few examples:
I had two very minor maintenance requests during my first month. Each was responded and resolved in same day with a note from the maintenance staff inform me of completion.
The leasing and concierge office is world class. The team routinely accepted deliveries, and coordinated furniture deliveries in my absence. I had complete trust and confidence to permit access to my apartment for scheduled deliveries when at work and on the road.
The gym, theatre, club room, outside patios, grill and decks are fantastic and well maintained. I use the gym daily… previously had a membership at the MAC, but find the equipment, space, cleanliness of the Crescent’s gym facilities to be excellent.
The community and diversity of the residents was a very positive experience. While I’m in the «back-​half» of my life, the community at the Crescent is composed of young urban professionals, doctors, nurses and young families. Really a great vibe here and always felt safe, secure, comfortable and at home.
While there are other apartments nearby… some brand new; the location, price and service at the Crescent are exceptional. If I have the opportunity to return to Baltimore in the future… I will choose the Crescent.

I have read the reviews and have a totally different opinion of the Crescent. My husband and I moved from California to Baltimore in 2011. After a research of the area we moved into the Crescent with our golden retriever. We were made to feel welcome from the start and found the office staff and concierge were more than helpful. Whenever a situation arose, someone was quick to fix our problem. We also enjoyed the gym, pool, movie theater, and events The Crescent offers to their residents. We never had anything damaged or stolen, and felt perfectly safe walking our dog out at night to use their doggie area. We only left The Crescent due to my husband’s company relocating closer to The Inner Harbor. We our so unhappy at our new apartment at Harbor East. We wish we had never moved!

David W. — your defensive response to my review, coupled with all the facts you know about the fire alarm, the former concierge, etc., lead me to believe you might work there.
But regardless of that, for $ 2400/​month, ‘no’ — I do not expect to see defaced floor plaques, repeated notices of bikes being stolen from a locked ‘bike’ room, nor do I expect to see piles of dog crap in the hall, like in the picture posted. I don’t expect that 1 of the 3 elliptical machines in the gym remains broken for a year… and you called the gym ‘well maintained’?
It’s ok, David — the people have spoken. I LOVE where I live now. The Crescent is a poorly run, EXTREMELY overpriced place masquerading as a luxury building.

I moved to Baltimore not really knowing the neighborhood. The Crescent was a good «starter» place to get my bearings until I could figure out where I really wanted to move. The apartment itself was nice and the amenities were nice to have (rented the area downstairs a couple times.). Overall, I felt safe and the security folks are friendly, although a bike was stolen and some cars were broken into when I live there.
What really helped expedite that moving process was being told after 1 year that the rent would go up 8%. This raise was insulting. I was not about to pay hundreds more while at the same time my view was vanishing due to construction right outside my window. Once we told them we were moving, they tried to lower the rent ($ 50 mind you — gee thanks!) but it was too late. I bet I wasn’t the only one leaving…
Also, I have a dog and consider myself a responsible owner that picks up after my pet. I find that not to be the case with many residents in the building. I’ve noticed messes in the hallways and all over the property. I guess that’s less commentary on management though…
