Truly this place was ok. Really crowded. Food was ok. My blacked scallops with sautéed shrimp was very salty! Husbands crab cake was good. But not anything to brag about. The kiddos had French fries that were old and reheated. For the price, not really great. The service however was pretty good. Drinks frequently filled!

The restaurant was great! The view was awesome! The food was great. The service was pretty good. Very attentive but a busy time of day so some things took a little longer, understandably. Had the side of lobster tail that was very good. Their Calamari with the sauce was a home run! I highly recommend. Great for groups, or romantic dinners. We sat by the window and the view was beautiful. I would have given them 5 stars but there is room for improvement, so I will go with 4. Now for my obsession : — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Ok so I know this is gonna sound silly, but… This was by far THEWORST crème brûlée I have ever had. I don’t eat much dessert but when I go to a restaurant and see crème brûlée on the menu, well that’s what I’m going to get. Kind of my own little«crème brûlée reviewer» I like to see where I can get the best one. Obviously it all depends on my tastebuds, not necessarily which is actually the best one. After all I’m not a food critic. I do consider myself a crème brûlée critic though and I am telling you this one is not worth the $ 8. What a disappointment. The brûlée was not chilled, the top was not a thin layer of paperlike glass that breaks off and shatters in your mouth. No. The top was burnt and soft. So fellow crème brûlée-ers — you have been warned. Now for someone who hasn’t had a real CB, this might taste like the best— it’s not. Trust me. Try it at another restaurant and you will see In conclusion, try this place. The food is great. Side note: Oh and a bottle of Bartenura Moscato is like $ 50+. They do not sell it by the glass. $ 50+ for a $ 16 bottle of wine?. Woodbridge or woodbine is the moscato by the glass and personally that wine gives me a headache. So if you like something on the smooth side, I had the Relax. Not bad not great.

Food is average — Shrimp scampi came out cold so I sent it back to the kitchen and it came back lukewarm. I ended up not eating my dinner bc of that reason, so instead I’ll enjoy it at home. Service was average. Drinks were on point and the apps were good but you can’t really mess up Oysters now can you. View is great. Prices are expensive. #touristspot

Food was very average and on the expensive side. The«spicy» seafood pasta dish was basically a 1 on a 1 – 10 ap iciness scale. 8:00pm reservation was not honored until 8:30 or so and that too only after 3 reminders. This is when tables were readily available.

On vacation and decided to walk over to this side of the harbor and chose this place. Walked in and was greeted by the hostess and sat very quickly. Overall great experience the only complaint was we never received bread. Kept watching every table around us get bread right after they were seated. Food was great! I had oysters and chose to have the Oyster Sampler which was 3 different kind and was delicious. My boyfriend got the Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwhich not one piece of food was left on his plate. I had the Waterman’s Po Boy with shrimp. For the price and quantity of food it was great. Definitely a place to check out!

There’s fancy dinners and then there’s FANCY dinners. Rusty Scupper sits on the water in Inner Harbor with a fab view of the water and the Baltimore skyline. I had booked on Open Table where I have some sort of «special» status and so our table for two was set right at the corner window with a view for both of us dining. Very nice. I opted for the crabcakes(sorry, Scooby!) and they were quite good. Not as lumpy as some I had in an earlier review this week, but they were tasty. The mashed potatoes were a little glutenous and the beans/carrots on the side were a bit too firm. My friend did say that she really enjoyed her salmon and had the same opinion of her sides. Overall, a great location and you’re paying for it with a $$$ rating. They do validate parking for their own lot.

Not impressed. The Maryland crab soup was just okay and the crab cake sandwich was downright disappointing. Great views which this place is relying on.

I really don’t like writing bad reviews, but I feel this experience deserves to be told. I do have to preface this by saying we only tried a few things off their menu and are basing our review on this. First, the views and ambience are excellent. The whole restaurant is designed to take advantage of the inner harbor view so there really isn’t a bad place to be seated. The service was fine. No complaints here. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food is a perfect representation of Rusty Scruppers current 3.5 star review average. Not good, but not bad enough to complain. You would almost come back here for the view alone and ignore the mediocre food. The French fries were old and somehow over salted. Disappointing, but i can over look this. I cut into my fish and noticed that it looked like crab meat. Isn’t fried fish supposed to be flaky? The fish and chips I had at another restaurant last week were, but I’m not expert. Tasted mediocre to me, but not bad. Fast forward to the end of my meal, and my wife is asking me to smell her last fish she just cut into and took a bite of. It smelled strange… Almost like ammonia? Hmmm. That’s a little alarming, as I look at my now empty plate. We ended up telling our waiter the bad news when he came to clear our table. Promptly the manager came and apologized for the fish and said he would ask the chef what he thought. Moments later the waiter returned and asked if we wanted dessert, which we promptly declined. Can you blame us? At this point I’m wondering if I was going to spend the rest of my day with a bucket or in the bathroom! They comped my wife’s fish dish, which seamed inappropriate. That’s what you do when someone ordered a medium rare steak and got medium, not when they were served fish that already began decomposing on the plate. I don’t care about the money, since that was never the issue. I’ll happily pay $ 19 for good seafood! I would have expected that manager to come back and assure me that this was an insanely rare and unfortunate occurrence. My stomach felt queazy for the next few hours, but that was probably placebo. My wife still looks pale and nauseous five hours later, hopefully it’s nothing and not food poisoning. Either way, meal was ruined.

Despite being in a very touristy area of Baltimore, the seafood here is excellent. I’m always wary of places right in the middle of the tourist traffic when I travel because I think they can get away with mediocre food at exorbitant prices. The Rusty Scupper is rather pricey but the seafood was fresh and delicious so you won’t hear any complaints from me. I had the surf and surf which was a lobster tail and a crab cake. I’d been craving a rich and meaty crab cake since I arrived in Baltimore and I hit the jackpot at this place. The lobster was also steamed to perfection. I tried a friend’s scallops and they were decadent. It was all what good Atlantic seafood should be. The ambience was great. I grew up in Florida and it reminded me of being out on a pier… which is because the restaurant is out on a pier. But the 360° water views make sure you never forget it. Even at night the lights of the city twinkle and reflect off of the calm water. The décor is very typical of a seafood place with ship’s wheels and nets but that really helps with the mood. I’d definitely go back here if I found myself in Baltimore again.

Very tasty. The crab was good and the service was even better. I don’t know why this place isn’t getting higher reviews. I can’t find a single flaw. Even my daughter’s meal was really good. I had a wonderful crab soup and crab salad. To top it off the sampler is also nice. But the best part was the spread for the bread. I don’t know what’s in it but it was really good and you all must come here to try it. You will be hooked.

Great restaurant. Excellent service. Delicious food. Good drinks. Pricy. Delicious oysters(6 for $ 19). Lobster tail and stuffed shrimp are well cooked and seasoned. Fresh. Humongous chocolate cake desert with Baileys. Views of the water. Lots of seating. No particular dress code. Will return when back to Baltimore.

Party of six went for dinner during the Baltimore Light Show. Food was expensive, bland and just plain old boring. Same sides for every entrée! Three of us ordered the«add sauté crab meat» for $ 12 and it was literally a spoonful! Restaurant is over rated and disappointing. Disappointed local. Kim D

My husband and I patronized this restaurant last Sunday and was not pleased. We made the reservations a week prior via OpenTable which allowed us to reserve a table at 7:15. At the time I was unaware that the restaurant would close at 8pm. Maybe that’s why our waiter had a smug attitude. We arrived at 7:10 and greeted by a pleasant host who validated our parking ticket and seated us by a window that overlooked the water. Even though it was raining and dark it was still a nice view. Our waiter came over a short time later(can’t remember if he introduced himself or not but he did NOT give off a friendly vibe) and took our drink orders and walked away. The entire night he seemed to have an attitude and wasn’t friendly. He didn’t even fake like he liked his job. A few moments later he returned with our drinks and ask us if we’d like to order appetizers, we declined and ordered our entrees instead. I looked over at another table and asked our waiter if we could have some bread sticks our bread? Because of the shape of the bread and the distance, I couldn’t make out which one the served. Well he proceeded to snicker at the mention of breadsticks and replied«we have bread, you want bread?» I didn’t see what was funny seeing as though EVERY restaurant I even patronized automatically served you some sort of bread while you waited. Anywho, before he walked off the host seated a family at the table right behind us so our waiter walked over to them, introduced himself and told them he’d be with them shortly. When he returned, he returned with bread for both tables(ours and theirs) and took their drink orders. I find it funny that that table did NOTHAVETOASKFORBREAD! He automatically took some to their table. Moments later our food arrived. The food was ok but not great for the price. The sides were average, there was no options, just mash potatoes and vegetables which were asparagus this night. The crab cake was small, the stuff shrimp was the best thing about the meal. Anywho, we’re half way through our meal and the table behind us get their and the waiter comes right back to them and ask if they would like some pepper then come ask us. Again, we’re HALFWAYTHROUGHOURMEAL! First I thought he was being this way cause he was ready to go home, it was almost closing time. However he was friendly and inviting to the table that was seated AFTER my husband and I. The drinks were great, I can’t remember the name of the drinks but it was something tropical and delicious. All in all I regret my experience at this restaurant. The food was average and the service sucked. I couldn’t help but notice that the family he was friendly with happened to be Caucasian, opposite my African American husband and myself. I will not be a returning customer

So I came to this location last weekend for some seafood. I hadn’t heard very good things about the restaurant but have always seen it and wanted to give it a go. I made a reservation and the lady I talked to on the phone was very friendly and accommodating… Upon arriving I found the hosts to be not that friendly and maybe a bit overwhelmed, I don’t know if they were or were not. They just didn’t seem to be the first thing you would want to be greeted by when you first come in. The server we had was ok. For a «fine dining» establishment I would expect the staff to be a tad bit more polished and at the very least have an immense amount of menu knowledge. Considering the prices that are charged here, I want to know what I am buying. I had the oysters for an appetizer they were good! But they require absolutely no preparation accept shucking them, so I would hope you wouldn’t mess up an oyster it’s almost impossible lol… The dinner, that’s what I had issues with I ordered the crab cakes which were 36.00. The taste of the crab cakes were ok. I have had better at the corner stable in Towson and other places in Maryland. The sides were mediocre and lifeless. You definitely don’t come here for the sides lol… I out of curiousity asked about the crab cakes and was informed that they actually are not authentic crab cakes because the meat itself is not from Maryland… That was very disheartening to know especially for the price… It is quite sad they would make it seem like you are over looking the harbor and thinking this is where the crabs come from… Yea not the case… In my opinion these need to be revamped if you want to charge 16.00 just to add one to anything you have for dinner. The tropic tornado drink I had was good, nice tropical drink… It’s made with Malibu so it’s not that strong and it is sweet. The dessert was good, the trio. I wasn’t to bog on the sweet potatoe cheesecake but that may have just been a preference for me… The view was breath taking, however I think that is why these prices are so high, you are paying for that… Definitely not the quality of the food. I may have just had a bad experience and it may not always be like that. I am open to try it again but am in no rush to find my way through their doors anytime soon. I heard they have a nice brunch… Maybe I’ll try that one day…

Baltimore, Maryland has always been on my list of places to go! We decided to meet up with friends for a light lunch before exploring the city. The restaurant has such an awesome view! You can’t go to MD and not try two things: Clam chowder and fresh crab cakes! And because the restaurant is known for their freshly caught-to– table concept, my arms were tied to tried their special caught of the day. *wink* lol The clam chowder was buttery, and creamy and I can’t speak any bad of it! The complimentary freshly baked bread added to its awesomeness. I kind of ignored the crackers. Lol The crab cake is made with real crabmeat; therefore you can taste the sweetness with each bite! The fish was well seasoned with a light glaze of buttery sauce. The mix of green balanced out the dish nicely. However, the star of the lunch was the view we had of the marina. I wish we could have had our lunch outside on the pier! That was how gorgeous the day was!

Brought a large group here for a customer appreciation lunch. The setting is quite picturesque sitting right on the waterfront of the Inner Harbor with great panoramic views of all the sights and structures lining the location. We started off with various appetizers and I opted for the local oysters which were very fresh, plump and delicious. The came with a light mignonette sauce which complimented the brininess of the oysters quite well. Everyone else reported that their appetizers were also quite good and these ranged from the crab soups, calamari and various salads. We also enjoyed the warm bread and savory dipping sauce they brought out and asked for seconds and thirds. For lunch I went with the crab cake which was decent size and came with a tasty mustard sauce, frsh beans and, as I dislike rice, crispy Old Bay chips. The crab cake had a ncie amount of meat and very little filler and o though the chips were perfectly cooked. Service was somewhat slow as despite having a very large table we only had one server at first. They ended up adding another when the entrees came but it made the first part of the meal a bit awkward as some of us get our appetizers before others.

The Rusty Scupper has such a beautiful view of the Inner Harbor! I think the view alone is what makes this place great. I came here for lunch around 1pm on a Thursday while I was in Baltimore. I was greeted right away and was taken to an open table next to the window. The waiter came out right away, bringing bread sticks and asking if I’d like anything to drink. He was on top of it! For food, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and a glass of Merlot. My Shrimp Scampi was delicious and I happily ate all of it. My wine was good as well. If you love shrimp and pasta, I’d highly recommend the Shrimp Scampi. Service here was great and the server was very attentive. I liked him. Prices of food were a little on the high side, even for lunch. My food and drink came to about $ 35 with tax and tip. Worth it though for the view alone! Would I come back here next time I’m in Baltimore? Probably! Cheers!

Came here for one of their awesome Jazz Brunch Sunday’s. For 40 bucks you cannot beat the overall selection that they offer. From raw oysters to the traditional brunch selection Rusty Scupper has you covered. Included in the price is Unlimited mimosas, bellini’s or sangria. This brunch also offers a fantastic view of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The only downside is there are 2 sessions for brunch. 1030am-1230pm(2 hrs) and then 100pm-230pm(1.5 hrs). The reason I’m mentioning the timing is if you have a group and you guys are late, you get no additional time. Your reservation begins from the moment you sit. So if you have a reservation for the 1pm session and the majority of your party gets there at 2, you literally have a half hr to eat. I think this should be shared when one makes reservations with Rusty Scupper for Brunch. Other than that, will visit again.

What a view! Seriously what a view! This place is not only good for tourists but it is a great location, good service and delectable food! I decided to take my family, who were visiting from NH, here because they are no strangers to ocean views and delicious crustaceans and everyone walked away full and happy! Our server Adina was also a huge help! We were a party of four and three of us ordered the shellfish mix which included a crab cake, three jumbo crab stuffed shrimp, mashed potatoes and green beans… lets just say no one needed a to-go box! My aunt was completely in love with the garlic mashed potatoes which had the consistency of butter… no exaggeration! What a great meal. My mother, who isn’t a seafood lover, ordered a filet because it was the only beef option under 14oz. They don’t mess around with their steak! In addition to the food, their menu is easy to read and not complicated or full of superfluous options. They know what they’re good at and they do it well! They have a great specialty drink menu and an extensive wine list so come thirsty. I am not one for dessert… usually but their Smith Island Cake… stop!!! Order one for the table and you will be beyond good!!!
