In 1989, Wayne C. Roland Jr. began his then home-​based business founded on a goal to provide honest, fair, and quality workmanship to his customers. Thanks to many great customers who believed in sharing the news about Roland Slate Service, we have grown to be a leader in the roofing industry in Baltimore, Annapolis, and the surrounding counties.

Wayne Roland is the founder of Roland Slate Service Co., Inc. established in 1989 as a then home-​based business. With a sincere «drive» to provide honest, fair, and quality workmanship, Wayne has led Roland Slate to be know as a leader in the roofing industry in Baltimore, Annapolis, and the surrounding counties. In 2007 Wayne acquired Gummer Slate Co., LLC, a 57 year old company also located in Baltimore. His company has been the recipient of the 2012 BBB Torch Award Finalist and 2013 BBB Torch Award Winner.
