Met with Shawn for a trim. the salon is beautiful and professional looking! Shawn was warm and patient, I’m new to the area and was hesitant to try a new place. but I’m glad I did! Shawn explained everything that she was doing and I was very happy with my hair cut! Highly recommend her!

I found out about this salon because my really good friend’s partner used to work here. I also know several people who have actually gotten there hair done at this location and had really great things to say about the owner (who is also a stylist) and the stylist at this location.
I was in desperate need of having my hair done on yesterday and this was the only location I could think of. When I called, the owner’s assistant Jameya was able to get me an appointment for 11:30 am that morning. I called at around 10 am so that was perfect. When I arrived I was greeted and taken back to the shampoo area. There was already one person being serviced and then I was next. The shampoo was amazing and the products that were used smelled great. The assistant prepped my hair and I waited about 15 mins for the Owner Keiana to come in and start my hair.
I explained to her my concerns with my hair and provided me with great options on how to treat and maintain my hair. She was extremely nice and took her time on my hair, but was also quick since I had to get back to work. I am so happy that I made the decision to come to this salon. I have had a hard time trying to find a good stylist that works with my schedule. I would definitely recommend this salon and the owner to anyone looking to have beautiful healthy hair. I love how she trimmed and styled my hair and can’t wait to go back.
I actually forgot to tip because I got a call about my son at the very moment that I was paying with my card. I felt so bad when I got back to work and realised that I didn’t leave a tip. I’ll be sure to leave a double tip the next time because they deserve it.

Phenomenal customer service, morning & evening appointments, & great ambiance. The salon is neat and has a beautiful deco. They Use quality products and she takes her time with you In the chair, catering to the tender-​headed people like myself. She asked me how I usually wear my hair, allowed me to ask questions, and I left feeling like a million $$$. Highly recommend Ms. K she is an amazing stylist (not just beautician) and young hip professional personable woman. I’ve already are my appointment to go back!

First let me just start by saying that I am very picky especially as a person who did my hair and my friends’ hair while growing up. I have had several hair disasters at various stylists across the northeast so I was hesitant about going to yet another beautician. After weeks of debating, I finally decided to come here. Let me just say OMG!!! I am so glad I found Miss K!!!
I rarely wear weaves because they tend not to last on me. I’m also very tender-​headed. I find that most beauticians braid the hair so tight that you have headaches for days with excessive hair loss from the root. Well let me just say that her braider took care to ensure that the braids were not excessively tight just strong enough to last and very neat. He was also quick! As I write this review, I am 1 month+ out since having my hair done and even though my hair has grown out a bit, this weave looks just as good as it did on the day of the install! I’m sure I can get another two months out of this especially since I watched her wash and set another client whose installation had already been in two months. It still looked very fresh!
This salon is very well decorated, clean, serene and inviting. The staff are all very warm, welcoming and extremely professional. Miss K is young, hip and exceptionally talented. She allowed me to ask a million questions something that I find most other beauticians get annoyed with. She is very in-​tune with the styling needs of her clientele. She is focused on giving you the style you want, not what she thinks is best unless you decide to leave it all to her. She is not just a beautician but a stylist (if you understand the difference.) I highly recommend her.

So grateful that I found K. Stewart the Salon. After years of searching for a suitable stylist in the area, I think I’ve finally found a home for my hair here.
My experience at K. Stewart the Salon was absolutely amazing. I was warmly greeted upon entering the salon on an early Saturday afternoon. The salon itself is absolutely breathtaking. The main room is decorated so glamorously and feels very refreshing and relaxing. After being escorted to the salon area, my hair was washed and treated by her assistant, who was very friendly and personable.
Once I got into the chair, Keiana (the shop’s owner) began asking me what I’d like done to my hair, which is natural. We went over some things and she shared what her vision was based on the details I provided and she was spot on! After that, she got to work and the end result was nothing short of a transformation.
Thank you Keiana and K. Stewart the salon for making me feel comfortable and like a valued client. I will definitely be back soon.

I have been going to this salon since April 2012… I 1^st was referred to Keiana to purchase hair when they were GOLDILOCKS for a weave that she didn’t install. She asked me a lot of questions and uncovered many things I was looking for in a perfect Weave Installation. So I booked my appt with Keiana and was IN LUV every since. My 1^st visit was amazing. She offers consultations and makes sure you leave satisfied with her work and Your BEAUTIFICATION!!! She is very Professional and knowledgeable. Along with her Staff Robbi and Jania helps make the experience Delightful. It is so refreshing to have people care about hair care and Not Just Hair … I have now been without a hair weave since November 2013 and she has helps me maintain my natural tresses. I recommend this Salon for All the Quality Products, Creative Hair Styles and Competitive Prices in Downtown Baltimore. Its a calm atmosphere. No loud talking, gossiping Bougieness Shenanigans… A place to get to know each other because every time I leave I’ve met someone New. K STEWART SALON IS BOMB!!!

I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about this place. Went in to K. Stewart earlier today. Made an appointment that morning and they had me come in a couple hours later. The receptionist was helpful, courteous, and warm on the phone and in person.
When you walk in the décor is beautiful: it’s fresh, modern, and clean. I walked in and was greeted by Char my stylist. I was immediately led to the back and she asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. I expressed to her that I had some significant damage in the back, but didn’t want to chop off all my hair. I showed her a picture of how I usually wear my hair and she didn’t deviate. Not only is she a great stylist, but she’s a very sweet woman. Sometimes when you go into a salon with damaged hair, you get a lot of judgement, I never felt that.
The salon uses Moroccan Oil products, which if you haven’t tried, you should. I had a touch-​up, deep condition, and a cut all for $ 110.
I will definitely be returning!

What can I say! I absolutely love Kianna she always keeps my real hair and my weaves spectacular! I just got a partial weave install with partial highlights and I’m absolutely in love! I always leave the salon feeling like a million dollars! Go check her out believe you will not regret it. Thank me later!!!

Hospitality: They greet you when you arrive and are always polite.
Atmosphere: Clean shop, organized and comfortable chairs
Stylists: Only been to Char and she graciously sits you in her chair before starting any treatments and asks «what are we doing today.» She listens intently before rushing to get to another client or task. K. Stewart runs the shop with professionalism. All the stylists must wear black outfits as their uniform, which makes the whole stylist unit very neat and polished. Both K. Stewart and Char do hair well, while supportive staff attend to your needs without complaint and are quite hilarious.
Weaknesses: None, I would recommend the shop to all.

I had a wonderful experience at K. Stewart Salon. The décor of this place is beautiful. During my visit, the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. His name has escaped me, but the gentleman that washed my hair was GREAT — he was exceptionally personable and professional. Particularly, I appreciated his mindfulness and level of respect he showed my mom; music came on that he didn’t think was appropriate for her listening and changed to something he felt would be more pleasing. Last, but not least, my hair stylist, Keiana was also very welcoming and personable. Most importantly, I LOVED my hair (it’s natural). Keiana straightened and trimmed it. I left the salon with very bouncy and healthy-​looking hair and received a TON of compliments! Very happy I learned of this salon and intend to come here going forward for all my hair care needs.

Why did I wait so long to write this review! I needed my hair done and called K Stewart Salon to try them out. I was immediately greeted when I came in. The salon is beautiful inside, nicely decorated with high ceilings. Anyway let’s get to the stuff that really matters. service and of course hair.
My stylist for the day, Char, greeted me with a warm smile. She asked if I had any concerns and what I would be getting. We proceeded to the sink where she washed and conditioned my hair. She the blew me out and straightened my natural hair. It looked great and I was impressed with the level of professionalism.
The whole process took under two hours. I noticed each stylist was very dedicated to her/​his client. I receieved so many compliments. The woman next to me was getting a sewn in that looked really nice. Try them out if you are looking for a professional salon! Bring cash!

Although I have been coming to this salon for only a few months, I have had absolutely nothing but the BEST experiences. Keiana Stewart, the owner of the salon does my hair and I am satisfied with her work each and every time. She truly takes pride in her work and exudes professionalism from the décor of the salon to the products that are used and sold. She is a promoter or beautiful, healthy hair and is extremely meticulous which is exactly what an excellent stylist should be. Her clients are very loyal and I am happy to announce that I too will be a loyal client. She is an expert in all aspects of styling including hair extensions, styling, treatments, color and color correction. I visited another salon to get my hair colored and it was absolutely awful. Keiana not only worked her magic to make me presentable again, she explained exactly what she intended to do before she did it. There is nothing like a stylist educating her clients as well. I cannot express any more how overly impressed I am with this salon.

I took my daughter here for a walk in to get a Bun, Char and K Stewart treated us great and i appreicated it. My daughter said Char was gentle when she washed, blowed dried, and flat ironed her hair. I am happy we have found this salon.

So on Wednesday I scheduled an hair appointment with this stylist (IG: hairartist_​danni) who works at K. Stewart The Salon (
) for yesterday at 10:00AM
So I get there at 9:50 and knock at the door. After knocking and receiving no answer I call her phone only to have it ring twice and go to voicemail. I decide to wait til about 10:10 before I leave (I figure because of the holiday, she may be running behind). After waiting 10 minutes, making 3 addtional phone calls and sending another text, I left.
10 minutes after I leave the stylist Danni calls me and tells me she did not hear her phone and apologizes. Since I am only 10 minutes away and I drove about 45 minutes to get my hair done, I decide to go back.
When I get there I’m greeted by a receptionist/​assistant who takes me to the back and preps me to wash my hair. I question her assistant about how that will affect my hair color and she tells me that she wont use conditioner, she is just doing a prepoo. She does that and sits me under the dryer. Long story short, at 11, I ask the assistant where is the hair stylist and she tells me she is on her way. So I tell her I’m leaving and by the time I come from grabbing my coat from the back she tells me the stylist is on the phone and wants to speak to me. I’m thinking the stylist Danni is about to tell me how far she is and instead the conversation goes like this:
Her: Is there a problem?
Me: Ummmm yea my appointment was at 10 and it’s 11 and you’re still not here
Her: Well my assistant is there to prep you
Me: My appointment was at 10 and it’s 11…
Her: Well I had you come in early to prep
Me: You should have let me know this when I made the appointment.
I handed the phone back to the girl because she had the nerve to have an attitude and I was about to curse her out. What kind of prepping needs to be done for a PERMANENT hair color service? The only prepping needed is to comb my hair out for even color distribution (which I already did before I got there).
Very displeased by the lack professionalism and the disrespectfulness I received from the stylist Danni. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

My first visit to kstewart the salon was fantastic, Danni was ver professional, and made me feel comfortable as possible, she did a wonderful job on my highliights and styling as well!!! Thank god i finally found a stylist that i loveeeee. Make sure you check out Danni at Kstewart the salon:)))

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences every time I’ve visited K Stewart. First of all, I absolutely love the location in Mount Vernon. Second, I love the décor inside of the salon. I have not had my hair done by the owner, but I have had my hair styled by Charda (before she relocated to New York) and Chardonae (a fairly new stylist at this salon).
Charda gave me beautiful color and highlights and actually styled my hair in the curls that are in my profile picture! My hair is natural and dry, but she always made my hair look and feel soft and shiny.
I used to go to Chardonae regularly a few years back when she worked at the Bubbles in Columbia. I visited her recently at K Stewart and she did an excellent job on my keratin treatment. They used Coppola Keratin Complex, which is my favorite brand. My hair is so thick and full and Chardonae is efficient, but not slow!
I will say I notice many of the clients that come here get full weaves sewn in. In all of my visits, I have my real hair styled and it only takes about 2 hours. I am so grateful that I have not had to spend hourrrsssss and entire days in the salon because of schedules being overbooked. Since Charda and Chardonae were both efficient, professional, and quick, I am going to assume that the owner is pretty selective in the stylists she hires at her salon. I would definitely recommend this salon and I don’t mind driving all the way to Baltimore from PG County to get my hair styled here.
