Corradetti Glassblowing Studio & Gallery features a fabulous display of quality glass giftware, jewelry & sculpture. Located within the beautifully historic Clipper Mill in Baltimore’s Woodberry neighborhood near Hampden, just a few Light Rail stops from the Inner Harbor. Anthony Corradetti’s glass work is world known & included in major permanent collections such as The Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery & Museum of American Art as well as The White House Collection of American Craft.

Glassblowing classes & activities for all ages are offered, see schedules on the website. This stunning 4000 sq ft facility is also Baltimore’s most unique venue available to rent for private receptions & corporate parties.

Corradetti Glass’ Woodberry /Clipper Mill location is the 3^rd & most magnificent glassblowing studio that artist Anthony Corradetti built for himself in his 30 years of business. My introduction to hot glass came as an undergraduate at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 1976. At that time I was studying ceramics under Rudy Staffel and occasionally visited the glass studio. On those visits I was fascinated by the manner in which the glassblowers seemed to instantaneously produce a finished object. Aside from being intrigued by the immediateness of this liquid material I was captivated by the technique. The fire, the heat and the sense of timing involved, together with the fact that one could never actually touch the molten glob at the end of the blowpipe, all appealed to me.

During my last years at Tyler & beyond I worked closely with world renowned glass artists Italo Scanga, Fritz Dreisbach, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien, Checco Ongaro & Dale Chihuly who each influenced me positively to work to build the successful career I’ve got today.

We signed up for an egg workshop with no previous «glass» experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit/workshop. The group of students were diverse in age and experience (from kids to grandparents); the teachers were incredibly patient, informative, excellent instructors and were armed with quick wit and humor … a bonus when dealing with so many people with little to no experience. When not watching other participants work on their eggs, you can wander about the wonderland of gorgeous glass crafted by gifted artisans. I walked out with a pair of museum worthy glasses that I have used daily (such an elegant treat), and the bonus is a handmade lovely egg thanks to Pierre’s patience and good humor. I highly recommend this just as an introduction to the world of glass and imagine the classes would be awesome because watched all of the artists/teachers who were obviously gifted in their trade. Go and have f.u.n.

Beautiful gallery next to Woodberry Kitchen. I love glass everything and Corradetti offers beautiful items. I definitely have my eye on vase or two. There also seemed to be a class or workshop going on when we visited. Shop part is small, but well-stocked. Staff is friendly.

Just went to a Make Your Own Paperweight class… so much fun. It was a hot day, and I see why they don’t do this during the summer. Everyone was really nice and accommodating. I like how they keep everything really safe and controlled. I know I will be back!

I took an Xmas ornament glass blowing class. I really enjoyed it and got to make a beautiful ornament. The class was a little pricey given that I didn’t do much of the work myself, but I still enjoyed it. Keep an eye out for groupons and it’ll be worth it! The owner is pretty awesome too and spent quite a bit of time with us discussing the area and the history of his studio.

Recently participated in the ornament blowing workshop. When we arrived it was easy to check in and grab a glass of wine. My friends and I watched for a little before we were able to take part. The one problem we saw was that the glass blowers did all the work, told people to sit down and blow. There was very little interaction so when it was our turn, we asked for information about the process and an explanation of what we were doing. The person we worked with had very little patience. At one point when we asked questions, he reminded us that there were a lot of people waiting behind us. If you ask me, for the price we paid, there should have been more interaction.
It was a fun experience but unsure if I would return again. At the end of the workshop I even asked a question to which the reply was: if you want all these questions answered you should just take a class. Doubt I want to do that after the attitude I received the entire time.

I held my birthday party here for an ornament workshop after being tired of the same old «go out to dinner for your birthday». Everyone loved it! We had 2 instructors who were rockstars and made the process a memorable one. Some attendees are even planning on going back for more in depth training. My 8 year old nephew loved it! 50^th Birthday Party Wine and Cheese Pumpkin Glass Blowing Mini workshop
We invited 12 friends to the Wine and Cheese Pumpkin Blowing Mini Workshop. Everyone met at the Bar in the Woodberry Kitchen. I had signed our group up on the web site the week before the party. Julie Corradetti (co-owner) emailed me in advance to get everyone’s name and time. Our group had a fabulous time! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Everyone was able to pick colors for their pumpkins and look at examples all around the studio and gallery. There was enough room and time for everyone to see the entire process and participate in blowing the molten glass to form the pumpkin. Several friends that work in laboratories were impressed how alert and safety concuss the staff was. Anthony Corradetti a super talented artist was there finishing the pumpkins with a blowtorch and placing them in the annealing oven. There are also many beautiful pieces of Art work for sale in the studio Everyone of our guest keep repeating how much fun they had and how it was different and a very special experience. Our friends already want to pick a time for the Holiday Ornaments Wine and Cheese. I am taking the nieces and nephew for a Saturday session. Great location, wonderful people and novel experience in glassblowing make Corradetti Glassblowing studio and gallery a Baltimore Best must do for visitor or locals.
We will be back for many more mini-workshops and classes.

Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Corradetti,
I want to thank you very much for the tears of joy the wonderful hand Blow
Jewelry has brought to my family and friends.
Since the first time I saw the what I call the tear drop earring that you have
in your studio I new that they would be a perfect gift for my daughter in law
for her birthday. She absolutely loves them and wears them a lot and she still
get compliments on them.
I have been in your studio on several occasions to buy gifts for my friends.
I recently bought two more pair of earrings. One of the clear color and one
that has that fabulous blue color that looks purple in the light.
The clear earrings were worn by my co worker who got married this weekend
and wore them in her wedding. She cried when she saw them before the wedding
and everyone loved them.
The blue earrings are on a cruise and are being worn by a special friend of mine
who is with her new old Bo that she lost contact with over 20 years ago. And yes she
cried and so did we all. It’s a wonderful story behind these earrings and our hopes
for them on there cruise. Maybe a wedding proposal. I’ keep my fingers crossed.
I just wanted you to know that you make it easy for me to put a smile on my best
friends and families faces and that is a wonderful feeling.

My husband and I just had our wedding at Corradetti Studio three days ago and I already feel the need to compliment the amazing experience! This is a beautiful place for a small wedding (we had 47 people.) The glass art displayed in the studio is gorgeous and we really didn’t need to be worried about any additional decorations. The exposed brick and glass was so beautiful at night under candlelight. Everyone who works there is really friendly and the process of booking the venue for a wedding/private party went really smoothly. They have a sound system that worked well for the entire event and their staff even instagrammed the wedding right along with our guests! The only warning I would give is that people should remember that this is a working studio and does not have air conditioning. In Baltimore, the fall weather can be unpredictable, so I was nervous about it being crazy hot in there. We lucked out and got an awesome day, but I would probably avoid the summers (or even maybe early September.) The owners weren’t ok with us renting air conditioners which I understand (that would be a huge electric bill) but it’s something to keep in mind. At some point in the fall they do turn on their kilns as well. But all in all we absolutely loved this Corradetti! We looked at so many venues in DC that were just CRAZY expensive, so we were just so happy to find this gem. All of our guests kept saying how beautiful the venue was and completely different from traditional weddings. The picture opportunities are endless as well. Thanks for a great experience Corradetti!

Gorgeous, Incredible artwork! That is what you will see when you go to Coradetti. Everything is so beautiful. My affordable earrings are quite wearable, unique and fun, like little blown glass christmas ornaments (in not so christmas-y colors). Wish I had gotten some wedding gifts from here… Seriously! Usable art. Thats what this is. And, watching it unfold in the studio with live music in a social setting, what could be better?! Really though, I’m dying to sign up for some glass blowing classes! I can’t wait!

Attended a wine and cheese workshop — not a good experience. The staff was unfriendly and we felt like they just wanted to get us out as soon as possible. We expected not to actually do very much at the workshop, but we did think the staff member would at least explain the glassmaking process to us. Instead, he just seemed annoyed when my boyfriend attempted to ask questions about the process. Then, when we went to pick up the pieces during the hours they sent us, the building was closed.

What an outstanding day! My daughter has taken different types of classes at Corradetti Glass Studio and Gallery in the past. I decided that a full day class would be a wonderful holiday gift for her. Just as I anticipated, it was a huge hit! I purchased the class for myself as well which made the gift even better! I have to say that the expereince was OUTSTANDING! Our teachers were perfect, the setting was fabulous — what a wonderful day! Before the class I couldn’t imagine why handblown glass items were so expensive — after the class I couldn’t imagine how they aren’t MORE expensive — WOW is all I can say! I will be back for another class — what a wonderful experience!

I recently attended the Pumpkin Glass Blowing Wine & Cheese event. I was very disappointed. When they say «glass blowing» that is literally all you are doing (blowing in a tube), you don’t participate in any other steps in the process. There were also very limited colors (orange, green, clear).
The wine & cheese was also very disappointing. They have 3 boxes of wine and some blocks of cheese on a cutting board. The staff was almost never at the «bar» to «pour» wine. Near the end of the night one of the employees filled up their cup and handed me a mostly-empty box.
The whole process also felt very rushed, there wasn’t much time to socialize or hang out with friends.
The only positive aspect of the experience was the person helping with the glass blowing. He was very friendly!
I have been to MUCH better glass blowing studios in Baltimore. They have a better color selection, you are participate in all the steps of glass blowing, and it is a great place to socialize and for large groups. Maybe if I hadn’t been to other glass blowing studios I wouldn’t be so disappointed in Corradetti.
I would not go back or recommend their events to a friend.

A perfect venue for those wanting something different, low key, industrial, and architectural. What’s so lovely about this place, is that you really don’t have to do much in terms of décor to make this place shine. It speaks for itself already with the old, turn-of-the-century, warehouse-like brick, worn wooden rafters, arched doorways and niches, and raw, concrete floor.
The team at Corradetti was wonderful to work with from start to finish. They always answered any of our questions and were super responsive. They worked hand-in-hand with our vendors to make sure our evening was perfect.
We had 65 people which was comfortable for having the ceremony and the cocktails/dinner/reception in the same space. We did stations and unassigned seats. There were not enough seats for all guests since guests could go up and get their food whenever they wanted. This helped provide enough space for dancing and mingling.
Our wedding was at the end of September which is somewhat hit or miss in terms of weather still (it could have been warm and 90 degrees or cool and 60 degrees). We lucked out with a perfect, 70 degree day and the night was cooler. This venue does not have air conditioning, but all of the doors can be open during the event to allow for a breeze to come in. It was comfortable the entire evening unless you were dancing a ton and overheating:). Just something to think about.

We had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at Corradetti on May 12^th and can’t imagine having held it elsewhere! The beautiful glasswork, industrial setting and open space was perfect for our wedding. Julie and her team were so helpful in assisting us in planning our Maryland wedding from 3,000 miles away in California! Our 75 guests were blown away (no pun intended) to have such an elegant sit down dinner followed by dancing in this unique space. It was perfect! Highly recommended!

Stumbled on Corradetti’s Glassblowing Studio and Gallery when waiting for our reservation next door at Woodberry Kitchen. Oh, my! Don’t stumble! Don’t wait until you might be going to Woodberry! Go just to see the glass, and meet the artist. About as good as I’ve ever seen outside Murano. Most is quite affordable; some is expensive (art doesn’t, can’t, shouldn’t always come cheap). BUT ALL OF IT IS GORGEOUS. Looking for a holiday or birthday present? (When are we not?) Get to Corradetti and find something really special for him, her, or them. In a world filled with expensive, tawdry junk, it’s pure joy to visit this studio and gallery to buy something really fine!

If you are looking for a creative venue for a team building activity or sales event Corradetti Glass Studio and Gallery is the perfect location. Enjoy creating seasonal gifts and have your clients make them with help of the artists on-site. We created Christmas tree bulbs in the winter and flowers in the spring. The studio will even ship the gifts for a minimal fee so they arrive safely to your client’s home. I’ve hosted two private events at the studio and had Woodberry Kitchen cater from next door. The whole Clipper Mill area is a hidden artistic gem in Baltimore and Corradetti is a must visit when in town.

Shock your friends and impress your lover by spending an entire afternoon learning to blow… glass that is! The Corradetti Studio and Gallery is Baltimore’s premier destination for learning the fine art of glassblowing. I have been to a few mini-workshops and have absolutely adored the experience. The workshops focus on creating small objects which will give you the opportunity to blow through the pipe and learn the introductory aspects of the process. The workshops focus on simple objects like paperweights, flowers, and other shelf-beautifying trinkets. The instructors handle the difficult aspects of working with the molten glass so that you can focus on your technique then marvel as the teacher works. Naturally, every student goes home with their creation, a lovely object that is sure to become a conversation piece. It’s fantastic fun for ages eight and up. You get around an hour of instruction for $ 35 — $ 55, depending on which mini-workshop you choose. If that seems a little steep, they have group mini-workshops at a discounted rate for parties of eight.
For those 14 and up, who absolutely fall in love with the process, Corradetti offers a range of courses: Beginner Glassblowing I, which is 6 hours of instruction working on solid shapes and cylindrical structures; Beginner Glassblowing II, where the technique is strengthened and larger objects are undertaken; Intermediate, which incorporates shaping techniques; and one-on-one instruction. Classes are longer and more intensive than the mini-workshops and, therefore, run around $ 200. The private lessons are $ 90 an hour with a two hour minimum.

After class, walk next door to the Woodberry Kitchen, whose light fixtures were made at the Corradetti Glass Studio. You’ll be inspired by what a great glassblowing artist can do and be wowed by the fresh, local ingredients.
