Not a good experience, expensive for food(almost four dollars for a bagel!) and for drink. The woman and barista did not listen to order for drink, and it never came out, I had to ask. I asked for a double shot espresso over ice and very small amount of mocha. They loaded it with mocha, I had to throw it out as it was chalky texture. They should have told me that mocha is on the side and I can put in myself.

Overpriced drinks, and slow service without a smile. At this price, I expect the amazing otherworldly drinks reminiscent of the Coffee Bean chains in California, but instead this location’s drinks leave me underwhelmed. In addition, my order has been incorrect about 50% of my visits here. For better coffee in the area, try Peace and a Cup of Joe for great service or Starbucks. Within a 1 mile radius, check out Ceremony Coffee or 3 Bean Coffee instead.

HOLYCOW. Bad in so many ways! Check my other reviews, I’m not normally this negative. I’ve never seen such slow, careless service. Horrible coffee for multiple reasons — not only was it completely over priced, but the actual drink was disgusting! The drink tasted like some charred/burned thing with milk added. I get that you’re in a hotel, but come on it’s not like an airport where we have virtually no other options. In addition to the horrible quality of the actual product, the attitude in the service was crazy. I always try and be as nice as possible, and regardless of what happened these servers were determined to be angry. I was there for a conference for people with chronic, painful conditions and everyone I saw purchase something here was treated bad. I’ve never seen so much attitude in one place. Starbucks is just down the street(do yourself a favor and go there. Even if you’re against it, I promise you’ll be more happy with that decision).

No response when I said good morning– just want do you want. Not many choices for food items. I had to remind her to get my food I paid for after receiving my drinks. After receiving I asked which drinks where which– and she didn’t know. Order incorrect. Avoid this place

Don’t get the parfait, I don’t know what kind of yogurt they use, but it tastes more like sour cream. Coffee was just OK. Save your money, go to the Starbucks across the catwalk to the convention center.

I wish I could give this less than one star. The service is absolutely horrific and you’re lucky if you get the correct drink. I’m here for a conference and unfortunately this is the only coffee shop near by. Trust me I looked and would have gladly gone elsewhere if one was closer. I had to come here three days in a row and had the same experience each time. 1. Slow Service: it took 30 minutes to get a regular cup of coffee and longer if you’re getting something fancy. There is no organization behind the counter and the employees are floundering around causing it to take longer than necessary for your order. 2. Poor customer service: my order wasn’t entered into the computer so I was standing at the counter waiting for a drink that wasn’t coming. I asked the Batista if the drink was coming up soon and she argued with me about not ordering the drink. I had to show her my receipt to prove that I indeed ordered. Additionally, the woman who received her drink in front of me complained that there was too much ice in her tea and asked for less ice. The barista measures out the liquid amount to prove there was 10 oz of tea in the drink she ordered and didn’t remove ice. Which also goes along with the slow service… That took an insane amount of time and was completely unnecessary. 3. Wrong drink: when I ordered a large nonfat vanilla latte with the 12oz scoop of vanilla instead of their big one. Unfortunately, this was the time the drink wasn’t added to the system or something and therefore the barista didn’t see my order so I was waiting forever. I asked if it was coming up which lead to our argument and me needing to show my receipt. I verbalized what my drink was and she made it but unfortunately used the large vanilla scoop. I now HATE my coffee but didn’t want to ask her to correct it as I had already missed one talk of my day and was about to miss another one. Additionally, this woman was incredibly hateful and I didn’t want to be around her any longer. Therefore, if you’re going to the conference, wait in the long line for Starbucks there or go without coffee. This isn’t a good way to start the morning and the coffee sucks.

Wow. I cannot describe how ecstatic I am to finally find a Coffee Bean on the east coast, namely in the Baltimore area. So important for us westcoasters. For those who don’t know, The Coffee Bean is Los Angeles based, Westcoast favorite that is hard to find east of the Rockies, as they have just started a national expansion after 40 years of business. After desperately searching for something that reminded me of my favorite(and finding some great alternatives like Red Emma’s, Zeke’s, Atwater and Homemaid) I kind of gave up home I could find something that matched Coffee Bean’s flavor. Low and behold, a tip from another LA native sent me over to the Baltimore Hilton, where I was told they just installed the first and only Coffee Bean in the Baltimore/DC area(funny, because it not my first time to this Hilton, and it wasn’t there previously). As soon as I could, I zoomed over to confirm… And it is true. I have found the promised land. I immediately parked my car in the free 10 minute parking zone they have designated on Eutaw for Coffee Bean customers and went inside. Sure enough, a full service coffee bean awaited me. They don’t have the traditional pastries the LA stores have, and they don’t sell the tasty soy powder they use to make their(vegan friendly) drinks, but that was okay. They have a huge menu and can make any drink you want. I explained to their wonderful staff that I am from LA and needed to buy all of the things they had. They laughed at the hilarity of my excitement, the intensity of my pain and homesickness and made me 3 of the best Coffee Bean drinks I ever had: Dirty Chai, Iced Mocha, and then talked me into a Iced Vanilla I took home for later. The Mocha was for a friend, but both of my drinks were delicious and perfectly flavored. Almost felt like home for a while. Can’t wait to get back and try some more of their tea lattes and iced coffees. It is a bit pricier than normal, mostly because they are the only one out here, and I’m sure importing costs on goods catches up… plus it’s inside the Hilton, so I’m sure there’s overhead regardless of any deals they have. But they are perfect so far, completely delicious, absolutely worth the extra cost to have a taste of home, and will have all my money for the next month or so.

I normally stay at the Hilton Baltimore when traveling through Baltimore, but unfortunately I had to stay nearby. However, I of course chose to grab some breakfast at their coffee shop inside the lobby as the food and beverages always taste good. I just want to give kudos to the team at The Coffee Bean for always being so friendly and delivering such a quality product! Your Chai Latte is amazing!
