Peace & A Cup of Joe not only serves the best coffee, espresso drinks, chia’s, smoothies, and Joe-​Chinos, but we also make from scratch the best sandwiches, soups, and salads in Baltimore. We hand carve all meats and cheeses, and all salads are made with the freshest vegetables. Most vegetables are grown locally, and most soups are homemade with the finest ingredients.

The atmosphere here is a design of comfort; you get a sense of relaxation and calm upon entering the door. Here at Peace & A Cup of Joe, one can study, meet friends, hold a business meeting, or just get away. Who ever said, «You can’t find peace in a cup of coffee?»

Peace & A Cup of Joe, founded in 2005, started out as just a coffee house serving the best drinks in West Baltimore but soon became a household name serving food, coffee, pastries, and other wonderful treats.

We feature the best Open Mic and Poetry Venue in Baltimore, worldwide talent with an excellent crowd.

Business Owner

Themar Long, owner of Peace & A Cup of Joe, had a dream to create a place where people from all walks of life could gather, relax, share, meet, and feast. After 13 yrs with UPS, he took his talents on the road to Baltimore, MD and created one of the best cafes around.

Themar worked with people from all over the world while serving his country in the US Air Force, and he also worked for a few Fortune 500 companies. This is how Themar fine-​tuned his skills of management, marketing, and yes cooking. He learned about coffee, good food, and fine pastries. While practicing cooking and entertaining with family and friends, Themar developed a knack for brewing coffee and found his true passion.
