Took awhile to get our food. Food is over priced for the quality. Don’t recommend the chicken Parmesan or fettuccine.

Maybe this place used to be good? I remember coming to happy hour here a couple of years ago and having a good experience… however, it WAS happy hour.
Went here for dinner and it was a disappointment! We dined here on January 2^nd around 6pm or 630pm. The restaurant was mostly empty. The people who were there were all young-​ish families out with their loud kids. At the risk of sounding like a DINK food-​snob (which I probably am), Chazz felt like the place where people from the county go with their kids when the want a big night out in the city.
The food there is not comparable to the other establishments in Harbor East, but the prices are. Basically, I’m stating this place is overpriced chain food. There. I said it.
The service was slightly below average. The food was completely unremarkable, with the exception of the bruschetta. That deserves a remark. It was bad. Save your money, folks.

I’ve stopped here for drinks a couple times and went in once for a quick bite to eat. They make a few really delicious cocktails that are with the time on happy hour pricing, but normally I find their drink prices a little high.
The food was okay… Great fries but the rest was nothing too exciting. If it’s a convenient place to stop in then go for it, but definitely don’t go out of your way.

If you want to pay $ 85 for 2 drinks, greasy, disguting pizza and dried out pasta with Perdue short cuts chicken and frozen vegetables in it, come here. (bad service included too)
Otherwise, try the many delicious options in harbor east/​little Italy/​fells point first.

Excellent food and a good value for the money.
My girlfriend and I went here because she bought a Groupon for brunch — 2 brunch entrees and a pitcher of mimosas or sangria for $ 21. I’m a big fan of Groupon, and this is one of the better ones we’ve bought. Although we got a discounted meal because of the Groupon, I thought their regular prices were very reasonable and would gladly pay full price for what we got.
We chose the pitcher of mimosas, and were pleasantly surprised at how big it was — almost 3 full glasses each (over 5 glasses total). At $ 10 a pitcher regular price we thought this was a pretty good amount.
I ordered the crab benedict, which was a classic eggs benedict made with pan fried crab cakes instead of ham. It was perfectly made, and the crab added a whole new dimension to an already great dish, an excellent Maryland touch. It was served with home fries, which were deliciously seasoned and served crispy and hot.
My girlfriend got a fruit pizza. It was blueberries and strawberries on top of a pizza crust that was a perfect blend of crispy and chewy, with a Grand Marnier glaze to tie it all together. It was a bit sweet for my taste to have as an entrée, but I had a piece for dessert and it was a great end to my meal. My girlfriend also had a few bites of mine, and altogether we left extremely satisfied, with lots of leftover fruit pizza to take home (this thing was huge).
The atmosphere was very pleasant, with a classy-​bar type vibe. It wasn’t very busy but there were a few full tables around us, which was nice as I don’t like to be the only diner in a restaurant. We saw that they make fresh pasta there everyday, and they also have a decent looking happy hour so we’re eager to come back for dinner sometime, in addition to wanting to try some of their other delicious sounding brunch dishes.
A lot of people gave lower ratings citing bad service. If you’re the type of person who needs to be doted on, having someone check up on you with a big cheesy smile every 5 minutes then this is not the place for you. I found the service to be more than adequate. We were served ice water as soon as we sat down, our pitcher of mimosas and entrees were served quickly, and after we finished eating we didn’t wait long before the server was back to ask if we needed anything else. I thought this was a damn near perfect dining experience, I only wish we lived closer so we could eat here all the time.

hmmm… I left extremely frustrated, annoyed and disappointed. I even left a 12% tip.
My wife and I are not typically ones to complain about service or a restaurant as a whole — hopefully we caught them on a bad day, but here is the review:
The restaurant looked really nice and I was excited given its namesake. Our waitress was undertrained and had no personality. Creepy.
We ordered drinks — my wife got a half and half lemonade, and I a miller lite as well as bruschetta. She returned and said they were out of both. No Miller Lite? Whatever, we ordered different drinks.
I ordered a Fat Tire, but they were out of that as well so settled on something else. My wife got a Vodka Pear drink that was too sweat and tasted like dish soap.
Needless to say, our appetizer came out before our drinks because of the issues. So we ordered our meal, my wife ordered the chipotle chicken salad but, they were out of that as well. So, we had to get the menus again. They were also out of the eggplant.
At first it was comical that they were out of one or two things (on a Friday Night at 7:30) but I became irritated given we were celebrating that evening.
The waitress recommended to my wife the asparagus ravioli. WTF? She tried to order a salad and you recommend pasta as a substitute?
We finally found two dishes in stock that came out in minutes. In fact all of the food came out in minutes. My impression was all the meals were not freshly cooked but staged and ready to get out quick.
I got the sausage & peppers, one of Chazz’s signature dishes and it was tough to chew, lacked flavor and served in a mound of poorly tasting marinara.
We were anxious to see other customers reaction, and without hesitation the customers at the neighboring table had a similar issue with the chicken cacciatore being out of stock.
Our meal, for 2 beers, a mixed drink, appetizer and 2 meals was $ 82.
At 40 years old, I normally tip 30%+ and on this given night I tipped 10−12% and left very disappointed.
I am a huge fan of Chazz and hope he understands the poor experience we received is associated with his restaurant and can have it corrected for the future.

Went here after the Baltimore Marathon.
Atmosphere: Very nice space and definitely had an upscale vibe.
Service: Waiter was prompt and attentive. No issues at all. Manger talked to us a few times. Extremely professional and was very nice to us.
Food: We had two pizzas. Veal meatball and another one with veggies and pepperoni. I normally like very thin crust pizza and that said it was still very tasty and I enjoyed both.
The star of the show though is THE BEER. Craft beers that are absolutely frigid. Cold til the last drop. If you go for one thing, go for the beer and stay for the beer. Eat some food while you’re at it.

Here for Sunday Bruch, the décor and ambience is very nice. Makes me want to watch A Bronx Tale. The Mozzarella Bar and Brox Style Pizza made in a Coal Oven has definitely sparked my interest to come back again.
I ordered the Crab Benedict, one egg was poched perfectly the other wasn’t. It was served with Asparagus Spears and Home Style Hash Brown Potatoes, both were amazing.
The service was fair, we had a party of 18 with only one server. I’m sure if I come back with a smaller party I’d get a different result.

Came to CHAZZ for my daughter birthday what a disappointment.
Don’t think I’ll be coming back here again any time soon. This is the worst experience me and my family ever experience starting from the hour wait to ordering our food. I think the one thing that irritated my group of family and friends was the servers constantly bringing out the wrong order over and over again and completed getting my other daughter meal completely wrong and leaving her hungry.
How can you bring out the same order five times and think everything is OK. In my personal opinion I don’t think this establishments can handle a large party. So I think they should stick with small groups under ten. But for me and my family we will not be returning.

When you’re craving Italian food in Baltimore, the obvious place to look would be Little Italy. However a friend and I had already parked our cars in Harbor East because we were planning on eating someplace else that had a wait time of over an hour. My friend said she could go for pasta so I suggested Chazz which was around the corner from where we were.
Chazz Palminteri from the Sopranos owns Chazz and their menu focuses on «Bronx-​style» pizza, and homemade Italian American dishes. This includes, freshly made pastas as well.
We were fortunately seated without a wait and after looking over the menu, decided to share the Homemade Fried Mozzarella Stack which came with a side of tomato sauce for dipping. These were a little on the greasy side (what else can you expect from a fried dish) but they were loaded with gooey cheese and it was delicious.
I’ve had the pizza at Chazz before and it’s not bad, but it’s not wonderful either so we both decided to stick with pasta dishes. My friend ordered the Spaghettoni All’Amatriciana. The dish contained guanciale, onions, tomato, and pecorino. The pasta was cooked well and very tender and the sauce was full of flavor.
For my main course, I ordered Spaghettoni Bolognese. This had the same delicious tender pasta as my friend but mine was topped with slow roasted meat sauce which was a combination of beef, veal and pork. This was perhaps one of the best bolognese sauces I have ever had.
If you’re looking for a spot to get amazing freshly made pasta in Harbor East, make sure to visit Chazz.

I went to brunch with some girlfriends on June 28. We had the Groupon for 4. I split the Crab Benedict and a Belgian Waffle with a friend. The Crab Benedict was delicious. It was served with the potato and onion hash and which was also very good. The dish was not overly sauced. Just right. The Belgian waffle was tasty but when I return I probably wouldn’t get that again. One of my least favorite parts of my meal was the Sangria which came as a part of the Groupon. It just wasn’t that tasty. A little dry. But te service was good and on such a beautiful day, it was nice to enjoy my meal outside. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and can’t wait to return.

Ah my 100^th review goes to a deserving place. I bought a Groupon for Chazz for Father’s Day. Of course, they called and mentioned that no deals would be accepted on that day. I was fine with that. Sunday came and we arrived at noon for our brunch. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not as packed as I expected. Walking in feels like you’re in an updated restaurant from the 60’s. Vintage photos, cool decals, deco furnishings, I loved it.
We ordered our drinks and browsed the menu. They have great selections to choose from for almost every diet. I ordered the ‘Cinnamon Toast Crunch’ French toast with eggs and a side of potato and onion hash, my father ordered the Smoked salmon breakfast pizza, my bf ordered the classic NY cheese pizza with a side truffle fries, and the mother in law ordered an Americano breakfast. It took a while but good food is worth the wait. OMG the French toast was very yummy. Only issue was maybe there was a bit too much butter because I could not eat the 3^rd piece. It became too sweet for my taste. The potato and onion hash was under par. My father’s salmon pizza was a pleasant to my taste buds. Definitely worth a try. The truffle fries were so good. Crispy with garlic and just enough truffle oil.
Overall, my party was happy and so was I. I would recommend Chazz, for the fact that they offer unique items that sets them apart from other Bmore restaurants. I hope my 2^nd visit is just as good or better as the first.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I am a repeat customer to this little hidden gem thanks to the awesome Groupon offer they have. It was for their Saturday and Sunday brunch where either 2 or 4 guests enjoy an entrée and receive a pitcher of mimosa or sangria.
The décor is unique, warm and indefinitely is modeled after the architecture and culture of the Bronx (love how the foyer makes me feel like I’m in the NYC subway). Each time I have gone I have sat outside. Luckily with all of the tall buildings around, their outdoor seating is always shaded during brunch time! And it’s great to eat and people watch in the area that I would identify more as Harbor East and not Fells Point.
Each time I go, I get the smoked salmon benedict and it is out of this world! Not only are the eggs perfectly poached with just enough hollandaise sauce, but they are very generous with the slices of smoked salmon. The potato hash and asparagus used for the sides really make this meal full of incredible flavors and textures. We also always opt for the sangria and mind you, it’s a white sangria and not your traditional kind. It is, however, so much better than the traditional way :)
Few more side notes: They’re brunch menu roughly has around/​over a dozen unique items to orders as well as sides, more drink options, and even breakfast shots (Cinnamon Toast Crunch = Rumchata and Fireball!). The service is great, never had a problem. I recommend making a reservation; in fact, it’s required for the Groupon.
If you’re looking for a new brunch spot and a new experience for your taste buds, Chazz is a must see!

So the girls were hunger still after the Unilocal Elite event and venture over to Chazz to grab some dinner. I had never heard of this place and was excited to try this out. All about new places and experiences, ESPECIALLY when it comes to my TUMMY!
I love the décor of this place as I am a born New Yorker (from Brooklyn) and I love the movie Bronx Tale. Great concept for a restaurant. (Smart venture by the actor I will say!) I wasn’t as hungry but still wanted to try something from here. We were able to sit in the back booth and our waitress greeted us immediately and brought over a bottle of water and filled our glasses. She then gave us a second to check out the menu. When she came back she was able to answer any questions we had in reference to the menu. But then she was ghost it seemed. Other servers brought our food out and got extra things we needed. The girls ordered a Margherita and Americana pizza. I ordered the crispy risotto balls! Everything was out in a no time once our orders were put in. I loved everything. It was sot tasteful an yummy! The prices are very reasonable as well.
Definitely will be back to have some good ears again from this place. Next time I will have to try out the drinks.

I’ve been to Chazz a few times. Luckily, I’ve never had any service issues like others have mentioned. The food is good. I’ve tried the pasta, the arancini, pizza, chicken parm, and all have been good. If you’re looking for a classic italian meal like in little Italy, you probably won’t be happy here. But if you’re looking for something a little different, this is the spot. The menu can be a little odd with not many entrees to choose from and a few random items but if you pick a few different things to all share it works. Is it the best pizza in baltimore? Nope. But if you want a really good pizza to compliment your meal, it fits the bill.
My only issue was with the potato pizza. I decided to try something different than the margarita and it backfired. I have an issue with eating raw potato. I understand that the potato was thinly sliced in hopes that it would cook with the pizza, but it was still crunchy. I’ve had really good potato pizza in other places and the potato was already par-​cooked. I wouldn’t get this pizza again.

Pretty cool location in the Fells Point area, parking IMO is limited considering the area, but there is valet. I swear one of the attendants resembled the hawtness that is Brody Jenner, hey, I’d go back just to look at him… shhhh Don’t. Judge. Me.

The dining area is pretty schnazzy if I do say so myself. I like the décor a lot, it was really quiet. I’m not sure if it was because it was a random Wednesday or if this is just how it normally is.
The menu was rather small, the hostess told us that this place was known for its pizzas, you know the ones made in the coal oven, with the ideal char and bubbles finishes in 90 seconds… So hey, that’s what I got. I’m a firm believer that your margherita pizza will tell me everything that I need to know.
My friends got the Americano and the Risotto balls. Alright, first things first, the pizzas are nice in size, but I was slightly underwhelmed in looking at my pizza. It just didn’t have much mozz. I mean I know this is all that is on it, but could you have added one or two more slices? The taste was delightful, however, I really enjoyed the thin crust, and I do believe the coal oven really does make a difference.
The risotto balls were stuffed with Taleggio cheese, and as soon as you broke into them, they were just… awesome. No complaint here.
Our server was fair to middling in my opinion, not the worst…
The restaurant has HH daily from 4p-​7p, that’s an added bonus. I don’t know if I’d return for dinner, but I’d like to try HH, also the website says they have brunch…

The atmosphere of this restaurant was very snazzy and bright! The hostess was friendly the servers were knowledgeable and the menu was vast. They had many typical Italian options including homemade pastas, salads, and pizzas. We started with the calamari was lightly breaded and very peppery, served with a delicious dipping sauce. We tried the Funghi pizza with red sauce instead of white and it was very tasty and earthy (via the mushrooms). The wine pours were a bit on the small side, and the cocktails (though overpriced at $ 11+) were tangy and tasty.
Overall I had a decent experience here and would consider returning for happy hour or specials. Otherwise I could definitely find this quality of food for cheaper elsewhere (specifically, their pizza reminded me of Home Slyce).
Overall: 4 stars for food taste and quality
4 stars for a fun atmosphere
2 stars for everything being overpriced (really people)

Amazing Pizza that’s cooked in a coal oven and finished in 90 seconds!
Chazz is a delightful place full of history of New York.
With 50’s and 60’s tunes over the radio we enjoyed their delicious pizza as an appetizer to a late Saturday brunch.
With a group of a bout 10, at least six of us ordered the french toast (including myself).
It was incredible. It tasted so good I didn’t want it to be over.
I’d love to go back to Chazz again and try more of the items on the menu.

Chazz is aggressively mediocre. You can definitely get a decent meal here, but we’ve had much better elsewhere, for better prices, with better service.
We visited Chazz a few months after it opened — the early reviews were very mediocre, which we should’ve trusted, and mentioned that the full menu wasn’t available during the soft opening weeks. We finally decided to check it off of the to-​visit list, and visited on a Friday night.
The hostess stand asked, rather scoldingly, whether we had a reservation. We didn’t, but the restaurant was half empty… and they sat us right away in a bustling but only partly full section. Definitely no reservation needed, and asking like that is certainly not going to start getting customers to make reservations.
We placed our orders, and just after our drinks arrived, one of the hosts came over to ask if it was okay if he moved us to a different table, explaining that a larger table was about to come in that they wanted to accommodate. Of course we said yes, though we really didn’t like the new table they put us at — along the side of a busy corridor, and not nearly as comfortable as the prior table. Also, why had they sat us there and then moved us five minutes later? Hadn’t they been aware that the big table next to us was finishing up? It was obvious to us that they were — they were just waiting to sign their check!
From our new table, we could see our old table — which was pushed together with a few others, and proceeded to stand empty the entire time that we were there.
If the food had been great, this probably wouldn’t have bothered us. Also, if they had just politely asked if we minded moving, that would’ve bothered D less than them outright saying they wanted the table for someone else — don’t make your customers feel like cogs in the machine. When we’ve chosen your restaurant, and you’re making a point of saying outright to us that other customers are more important, we’re not thrilled. We realize that a larger table (with guaranteed tip money) that drinks more will make you more — but please don’t say it out loud to us. We’ve made choices to be here, trying you out over returning to an old favorite. Remember that we have choices, and plenty of other places that we could spend our food budget. We certainly remember this — and won’t be coming back, or recommending your food or service.
The food is not terrible, but with little effort we could make better versions at home.

D ate half of his chicken parmigiana and a little of the side pasta, finding both too salty and the chicken dry. My spaghetti was a nice portion size, but also painfully salty. It was nicely cooked, but didn’t particularly taste homemade/​fresh — especially when compared to the great spaghetti we’d recently had at Graffiato in DC. I chose this pasta because I’d just read a great recipe in The Glorious Pasta of Italy (by Domenica Marchetti), so now I’ll have to make that instead… recipe coming soon!
The pizza was okay. The crust was bland and not cooked fully through, the basil was flavorless, and the burrata idea doesn’t really work. I realize that they’re proud of their house-​made burrata, but… don’t put it on a pizza. Serve it with a salad, and put other mozzarella on the pizzas.
We were told to choose a dessert, as compensation for having moved us, but nothing really struck us on the menu. We decided to try the zabaione and fresh strawberries, which was not the frothy, light custard that I was expecting it to be. The strawberries were syrupy and bland, and the zabaione was broken.
There are plenty of other pizza places we’d recommend instead, or if you’re looking for good Italian, just head to any of the institutions in Little Italy a few blocks away.

Chazz has a reverse happy hour on Thursdays from 8pm — 11pm where some food ranges from $ 2-​$ 7. Drinks specials too.
The bruschetta (2 large pieces) with goat cheese was pretty good.
The fried mozzarella (4 pieces) was OK but I would have preferred it to be a little crispier. The tomato sauce that came with it was pretty bland.
The cheese pizza was definitely not as good as the pizza I’ve had in NY. The crust could have been crispier, the sauce could have been tastier, and it was way too greasy. I would never pay full price for this pie though!
FYI for the vegetarians out there. The caprese panini on the HH menu has chicken in it!
Overall, I thought Chazz was fine for happy hour, but I don’t think it would be worth the $$ for a regular dinner.
