Performing Arts Center of Baldwin Park

I had the best time here its li km e my second home i had done choir performances and 2 play productions there and its a very nice theatre and im very g lo ad that we could perform and have fun rehearsing with my friends wich we all turn into a family and i just want to thank the owner of the PAC for openeing the doors for us and Mrs. Nitschke for Directing the past productions and yhe future productions

It’s a nice place for small to medium size of performance. Contemporary design.

I cam here a few months ago for my brother’s bamboo flute and other Chinese instruments concert.
It’s a nice performing arts center, but it’s far from my parent’s place in Southern California.
It’s a decent place, but not very big, and well I shouldn’t rate my brother’s concert, that wouldn’t be very fair.

The staff who work here are so rude. We came to set up early in the morning and they said that they needed to «redo the lighting,» which apparently takes 3 hours. No one was allowed on stage. How are you supposed to rehearse before the show if you’re not allowed to go on stage? Ugh, I hate working with amateurs.

I don’t know what is going on with the management here but the people who work here are rude and unprofessional. My company paid good (and A LOT OF) money to use this venue as our performance space and the workers here could not have made our experience any worse.
Prior to the day of our performance, a set schedule was worked out between their crew and our company. They must have shredded that because nothing went as planned. They were late to open the door for us. They were late to start our lighting and tech time, and 2 hours before the show they told us to find our own stage manager. WHAT??? During the show, some of the performances were actually done in the dark because of lighting errors.
A bunch of them were in a room backstage, and I just happened to walk by when one of them said «these stupid kids…»
Big mistake. HUGE.

It is a very nice and clean venue. It is relatively small, so there are actually no bad seats, well, honestly, still some. We saw a great Shanghai Dialect Talk Show tonight, performed by two well known comedians (Mao, Mengda and Chen, Guoqing) flew directly from Shanghai, China. What a wonderful show, which kept me laughing for nearly two hours and my mouth is hurting now. Will definitely go back if there is some similar event to be held at this venue.

It’s a very nice, clean place. The theatre is wonderful; the high schools often perform their plays and such here.
People tend to look down on Baldwin park, and residents themselves tend to call Baldwin park ‘ghetto’, but it really isn’t. Honestly, the city has cleaned up a lot – the community center is clean && the pool there is pristine, there is a new skate park for teens right next to the high school, new businesses are opening here everyday. In terms of socioeconomic status, yes, the residents here are poor side, however, it is a pretty safe neighborhood to be around.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this performing arts theater in the middle of Baldwin Park is actually very nice. I don’t know why, but whenever I hear Baldwin Park, I think ghetto. No offense to residents of Baldwin Park.
It’s not everyday that I decide to go see a play in B.P., but my old high school (Cathedral) was hosting their drama club’s 10^th anniversary there.
So the sound system isn’t the best and the place could have been a little cooler, temperature wise. Overall, it was a very enjoyable outing. I will never look down on Baldwin Park again.
