LB Cake Stop

$ 10.35 wasted. I should have checked their reviews on Unilocal before stopping by this shop. I think the negative reviews are more on the spot than the positive reviews. Got three slices of cake — opera cake slice, red velvet cake slice and the strawberry short cake slice. Two out of the three were dry/​stale.
When I saw the shop on my way to the post office saw on their store front they have freshly baked goods. Thought I would stop by to grab some croissants which they didn’t have any.
When I walked into the store smelled a bit like muggy air than usual bakeries that smell of baked goods. Found it weird so I asked the lady who was attending me if the cakes etc where made here and she said they are all made daily. Which seems totally false by the cakes I purchased.
Unless they have a really incompetent pastry chef/​baker or they don’t do the baking at the location and purchase elsewhere. The cakes I saw ere beautifully decorated but tastes counts more than a beautifully decorated cake.
I called to say that two of the cakes seem stale and the guy on the phone seemed shocked and told me to bring the cakes back. So instead of driving back I am writing this review.
— 1 star for stale and dry cake
— 1 star for telling customer they are fresh and daily baked when the product sold is not.
— 1 star for location. Parking is in the back and had to walk to the front of the building.
— 1 star for not apologizing when a customer called an unhappy with the purchases and telling them to bring the cakes back.
This is sorely disappointing!!! It was 100 degrees today I am not going to drive back and wasted gas and my time. I already wasted $ 10.35 and three slices of cake that wasn’t even worth it’s ingredients.

I love this bakery they have the most amazing desserts everything I’ve tried here has been beautiful and delicious. The owners are pleasant, friendly and very gracious. I have been wanting to order a cake from this place since the first time I went there I finally had a chance to order one for my nephews graduation and it was beautiful and delicious. The cupcakes they made were great as well – everybody at the party loved the cake and I had several people ask me where I had got the cake from of course I told them about LB Cake Stop. Thank you Liliana for doing such a great job on the graduation cap cake the color was perfect!

Do not get a wedding cake made here. The person quoting the cake isn’t even the baker. They are very limited to what they can do. My wedding is July 30 and I have been making payments on my cake. Note the baker has not even started to buy anything for my cake and will not return my $ 150 paid towards the cake. When I came to make a second payment i finally meet the baker who tells me she cannot make certain things on frosting. She also decided that the fruit flavors I had picked did not go well. The fruit flavors and cake sample was given to me by the person who quoted the cake. I got another baker and discussed my cake with them no problem and it was a much larger cake.

I am very disappointed. I hope the people that work here read this. I will also post on their facebk. they have horrible customer service. the lady is beyond rude. thinking she is royalty. I brought friends and decided to eat there. she gave us attitude. I was so embarrassed. if you don’t want people in there. then don’t ask if we are going to eat there or take. what we ordered tasted old, as if had been sitting there for weeks. I am reading other posts and they experienced the same. if the customer service is horrible… don’t buy. I didn’t even want to give them 1 star

Omg I cannot believe what a beautiful cake we got this past weekend for my sister in law graduation LB Cake shop brought my thoughts to life with an oversize bear dressed as a nurse. Thank you so much

First timer! Found on Unilocal!I bought many things and everything was delicious!!! I got the baclava, berry tart, the cappuccino cake, pistachio cheesecake, the honey cake, and my favorite was the chocolate layered cake. Soooooooo amazing!

Terrible customer service;very rude! I went in a couple of months ago and tried the Napoleon, it tasted old, had a refrigerated taste, and the whip was hard. I didn’t go for a long time until today. I went in to buy two slices of cake to try them out as I am looking for a cake for a graduation party. As I was at the cash register, I asked the cashier, which I presume is the owner, if the cake was fresh and she responded that they do them fresh everyday (lie) and then I told her of my past experience. Instead of apologizing she took the box from me and told me «well, you don’t need to buy here.» WHAT?!? Poor customer service, should learn how to treat customers well. I’m not saying the baked goods are bad, I happened to like some of the things I tried. The thing they definitely need to improve is customer service.

F!!! This place! Such horrible customer service! It’s was my 1^st time there and the horrible interaction at the counter when I was trying to place my order made me leave with out purchasing anything.

We recently ordered a wedding cake here, I’m a bit picky when it comes to cakes and lb cakes did not disappoint. The mocha cake was amazing I can’t wait for another event so that we can order another one. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place

I was celebrating my 23^rd birthday so I wanted something beautiful and delicious and that’s exactly what I got from here! The owners are very friendly and their service is amazing! I ordered the cake (white and yellow rosettes) and 2 dozen cup cakes (white frosting with yellow pearls on top) The cake was fluffy and the cream inside of it was fluffy and the strawberries were amazing and fresh. I got such a great deal on the price of the cake which is hard to find now a days.
Everyone that attended my party was complimenting the cake so much and how beautiful it all was! So I wanted to say thank you so much you made my day extra special! We will definitely be getting our cakes here from now on
Okay so here I am with another review about another cake I’ve ordered from here.
My godson was turning 4 and I was in charge of ordering and buying his cake this year. So the theme of the party was Star Wars and my nephews favorite character is BB-​8. So I knew I had to incorporate both of them together. I went to the cake stop 5 days before the party and I showed Lilya (not sure not to spell her name) I had asked for all fondant with the bb8 on top. She usually needs a week in a half notice for fondant but for me she said she’ll do it! So the cake was all fondant and so was the bb8. So I placed the order and payed for it and the amount I payed for the cake was perfect!
I wasn’t to sure on the type of flavor and filling of the cake to get so she recommended Nutella with banana cream filling! It sounded amazing so I said go for it, your the pro and you know what tastes good. So I had no idea how it was going to taste!
Saturday afternoon I picked it up and I seen it from a far distance and right away I was amazed! The cake was everything I pictured and more.
I surprised my godson and the smile on his face was priceless and everything I imagined it to be.
Everyone was complimenting the cake and asking where I purchased it from. We then sang happy birthday and cut the cake and my oh my it tasted AMAZING! Probably one of the best cakes I’ve had!
So yes thank you so much for outdoing yourself once again, so glad I found a cake place around my area that’s affordable and amazing!

This place is the absolute best! I came in a few days before my mom’s birthday and had placed an order in-​store and they were so very helpful in helping me with flavors and designs. They are a family owned business and I loved everything about that because they really do take the time to listen to your questions and concerns and offer suggestions and feedback.
As far as ordering my two-​tiered cake, everything turned out great as you can see from the photos. Everything is above reasonable pricing depending on what you want for your cake and they are able to customize flavors for you.
Taste wise, it was delicious. The buttercream frosting wasn’t too sweet and it complimented the strawberry vanilla fillings I had inside the cake. Everyone loved it!

Unilocal has led me wrong! I was expecting delicious cakes that are fairly priced instead I got dry cakes that taste as if they’ve been on display for days.
I got a Napoleon, tiramisu, and the caramel tres leche all of which looked good but tasted old. The creams were hard and everything had this strange taste to it. Fridge taste?
Do yourself a favor and skip this place, pay a little more for quality cakes. What a waste of a trip and $ 18.
Oh and free cake slice with a check in? Only if you spend $ 25, likes said, don’t waste your time or money.

Their customer service is great (from the guy at the counter, the lady was rude), but the pastries suck. The strawberry shortcake was so DRY. The Mango Mousse was thick and instead of being fluffy, it was thick and hard to lick off the spoon. It honestly seemed like it had been in the display for at least three days. It also lacked in flavor. The raspberry cookies were stale and also tasted old. The Fruit tart was OK, but the cream wasn’t sweetened enough.
Overall, the pastries were stale and had a «fridge» taste.
Would not come back and do not recommend this place. I didn’t take anything back because I live a little far. Otherwise I would.

Asked for a deadpool cake. Got a deadpool cake. One of the best tasting cakes i have ever had. Had most every guest compliment me on the cake and how it tasted. I got marble with nutella. Thanks LB!

I didn’t even get a chance to try the cakes. The reason I’m giving one star is for the service I received over the phone.
I called in to see how much the cheeseburger cake would be and the lady tells me she cannot give me any information over the phone because it can vary, that I should go in.
I told her I wouldn’t hold her to a specific price I was just inquiring on how much for a cheeseburger cake for about 20 people. I asked her to give me at least the minimum and maximum.
She said $ 20 to $ 200 but I should still go in. Now this is absurd. I clearly provided her the number of people so she should have at least the slightest starting base. I understand depending on the flavors and filling costs may vary but being in a business and making cakes on a daily basis I’m sure a cake professional would know at least an estimate for a cake based on the details the customer provides.
I work in the neighboring city and its not like I have all the free time just to stop by for my leisure. I simply wanted to utilize current technology by calling in for information and details and Im sure I would of placed my order for a cake BUT due to the lack of service I receive I will take my business else where.
I can only imagine how many other people this employee has blown off when potential customers call for information.

I came here on a whim, happening to be in the neighborhood and looking for a last minute cake for a coworker’s birthday. I found a beautifully decorated and very decently priced pound cake with raspberry and ganache filling.
The cake was a hit in its presentation and flavor.
Also, the staff was extremely helpful and patient.

I went in for a custom cake for my friends birthday and it was more than i expected. They got super creative and put their own twist on it and did a wonderful job! It was my first time going there so I was a little iffy about the price because it was pricey but the owners are also very friendly, most definitely will go back.

I was on the way to celebrate my Dad’s birthday and so I decided to Unilocal a place on the way.
#1.) The flavors are good (ESP of the raspberry chocolate cake (not slice but I bought the snowman cake for $ 15)). The Napoleon was ehhh, the pumpkin pound cake was pretty darn good.
The were no real fruit pieces so I understand what others are saying but the cake was moist and the raspberry filling was yummy.
#2.) The prices are really reasonable for the excellent designs. I was thoroughly impressed.
#3.) I would skip the individual cakes and go directly for the whole cakes. With so much selection it’s impossible that they can make everything fresh that day but the whole cakes tasted fresh and moist.
The bottom line: You get something nice and unique, it may not be the absolute best cake you’ve ever had but it’s good and you get a beautifully designed cake for a lot less than you would anywhere else.
Next time there’s a birthday in that area I’m definitely stopping by.

Lemon stack cake was dry, overly flavored with artificial flavors. Did not taste like actual lemon was used, lol. 80% of the product was white chocolate. Severely disappointed it wasn’t even cute
Strawberry shortcake was better than the lemon. Still dry, not enough fresh strawberries in the design. Still disappointed
The black and orange cake/​petite four with the pumpkin was ok. The chocolate filling was good. The cake again was dry and lacking in flavor.
The cannoli was ok. Lacking freshness in. The Crème and shell
The raspberry éclair was lacking. The pâté a choux did not taste fresh and was over cooked. The filling was ok
I gave this place 1 star because they are lacking on the basics… They need to concentrate on mastering a good sponge/​cake. Their creams and fillings need flavor. And please don’t sell me day old cake. If I wanted that I’d go to a grocery store. I expect more from a bakery then what I received
