The Home Depot

As a homeowner, male or female it is almost inevitable that you will have to come here. As we all know, these stores are huge. The aisles are labelled but I can still almost never find what I need.
I relate most to the cleaning aisle. LOL, I recognize things there. Lumber and toilet parts, no — and there is never anyone around re staff when you need them.
I do like the self check out. It really helps cut down on the lines for people like me that normally has just 1 item.
Good location, lots of parking. There is a large garden center here where we get our seed, soil and mulch.

prices are decent it just would have been nice to be able to find someone to answer some questions. Many employees just walking by without saying hello or asking if we were finding everything alright. What happened to good customer service?

This review is based solely on the children’s activities they do every first Saturday of the month. The activities are so fun for the kids and adults! The staff is so friendly and organized it’s incredible to see the kids being hands on with tools and the projects. Best part it’s free! We had such a great time we will definitely be there for the next one!!!

Where do I start. They get one star for location because they are very close to where I live. If they weren’t I would be shopping here. I spend on average $ 100.00 a week bt have made bigger appliance purchases too. My biggest complaint is employees. Most of them I see run away, wot give you the time of day because they don’t work that department. Can’t ever seem to find the «guy» that works that area. Always seem to be headed to lunch.
Here’s #2 reason for bad review, solar city and surveys. I know at least once you’ve been stopped and asked to take a survey. So anoyying when you go in there and all your trying to do is avoid these people when looking for what you need. You tell someone from solar city your not interested and they say back to you, «what your bills are already low enough for you» must be nice”. I mean come on seriously! I’m not one to tell these sales people talk to me or my family like that and it usually turns into a loud embarrassing argument that never should have been started in the first place. I mean why not just say good morning can I tell you about our solar products or are you interested? Leave the smart ass remarks at home for your mom your still living with. Oh last thing. April 18^th about 6:45 pm I pull in. Had my 1 year old and 8 year old boy with me. Parked right next to a cart I planned on putting the kid in. Got the kids out and seen cart employee just grabbing the cart. I said hey sir can you leave that cart for me. He stopped, staring at the front of the store for a min and walked away shaking his head. I helled to him thanks! Just needed it to put the baby in and he just shook his head and kept walking. Typical Home Depot employee responce. Maybe he should be out there washing some of these nasty dirty carts they have and that will give him a way to cool off. Anyways this is what you can expect shopping here. Oh and I’m usually given a hard time about using my military discount and getting 10% off. I am a disabled veteran I have the proper information required to receive 10% but I usually get a run around or they have even said ok a few times but never applied the discount. Ok so that’s all I have for now. But these have been some of my experiences here. I usually go elsewhere now when I have time to.

I hope I never have to go in this store again… was on hold for 25 minutes so I would not have to go to the store to see if the had a insulation machine in stock. Placed my order online figured it was easier… website was not correct on inventory. Had to go to 2 different stores to get product. Only to wait for 3 hours for the manager at another Home Depot to fix my order since it could not be broken up between two stores. Spent 1000 bucks on insulation and staff was so rude. This happens all the time here. Home cheapo… I am done with you

Had to stop by and pick up some paint for a couple of DIY projects I had. I was able to color match the paint that I needed. The highlight of my visit was the service by the folks in the paint department, very knowledgeable and very helpful. I was bummed out the self-​checkout was out of service but this visit went smooth none the less. Thanks HD Rosedale!

NEVER AGAIN!!! Clueless people standing around. Not even crowded. Yet, I kept getting passed over in the customer service line. My family drops money here all the time! Scratch that, we used to drop money here all the time! I sure hope Lowe’s will appreciate my business! The customer service folk need some lessons in customer service!

What can I say??? Home Depo was extremely busy. Check out lines were long and time consuming. They did work with me though. I found a damaged bag of Weed and Feed and offered them half the posted price of bag. We agreed at 33% off original price. We’ll be back.

After being very disappointed with Home Depot Rosedale yesterday, I am a happy customer again! Yesterday I waited with two other customers for more than 15 minutes for someone to help us at the key kiosk. At least two employees called for key assistance. I left after 15 minutes of waiting. Ugh!
Today I came to the Customer Service desk needing assistance with an item I purchased a few months ago. Vanessa assisted me with the utmost professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness! Vanessa made my day!

I’ve been waiting an hour for Chris to load some cement blocks for my project. The other people have been nice. I was told Chris walked into a mess by a different employee as he was leaving. I just need to get back to my workers. Time is money. Please step up Home Depot.
UPDATE: Chris told me to come back at 6pm for the blocks. I came back. He said he could not find them. So I pointed them out. He said he would get them for me. I waited another hour, then left to get dinner, I came back at 7:43 and the blocks were still not reachable. I am currently waiting at customer service to talk to a manager. So far today I have made 3 trips and waited over 2 hours. The manager on dutys name is Nicki. It’s now 7:50.
Nicki got chris to finally do what he promised to do earlier. She told me that I should have asked for a manager the first time I was there. I am loading up and leaving after 8pm.
3 trips and over 2 hours. I hope his does not happen to anyone else. This will cost me a lot more in labor because of false statements.

Bought a brand new washing machine that stopped working within 30 days when I called they said since I didn’t buy extended warranty through them they couldn’t help!!! I only gave two stars because my husband has to do a lot of shopping there for his side jobs and some employees can be helpful. I will never buy a major appliance there again!

I believe the service here is waaaaay better than Lowe’s. We frequent this location and we always get asked if we need assistance, unlike lowes where it looks like the employees are dodging customers.
Anthony is perhaps the most helpful person there. He always asks if we have questions or if we need to be directed if we’re looking for something. I always try to look for him when we go there. Very helpful young gentleman. =)

Since purchasing a home to call my own I have shopped here more times in one month than in my whole life. The store is fine but the customer service tends to falter quite a bit. Some employees have vast knowledge of their areas and some just seem clueless. I understand you might be new to that particular part of the store but take the time to develop your understanding of the product you are selling. It means alot to your development at your job, the store and its relationship with their customers as well as how comfortable the customer feels when purchasing items they are unfamiliar with.
I come back here from time to time but I am weary of what advice I am asking now.

Absolutely amazing service from most employees.
Pro-​tip, if you’re really looking for someone who knows their stuff locate an employee you’d think was a contractor. Yeah, I know… I’m judging a book by it’s cover. But seriously, the older men know their stuff. Most of the time they’re retired contractors looking for something to do during the day. These guys will always go out of their way to find an answer.
Yes, sometimes the aisles are blocked off and it can be inconvenient. But that’s Cal-​OSHA for ya.
The self-​service propane exchange station is easy and totally convenient. Note, never ever EVER bring a propane tank inside a store. I would prefer not to be blown to smithereenes while shopping for 2-by-4’s… I was hoping for something a little more graceful. So if you need assistance, leave the tank outside.

This is the closest Home Depot to my home. It is my go-​to spot for trading in my empty old propane tanks for new freshly filled ones. I know you can find propane tank exchanges outside most grocery and drug stores these days, but in my experience you always have to go inside and try to fine someone who doesn’t mind leaving what they are doing to find the key and come outside to help you. Meanwhile, what are you supposed to do with the empty propane tank? Leave it inside your hot car? Carry it around the store while you try to catch an employee’s eye? Well, none of that here at Home Depot. The propane exchange is self service, automated, and easy to use. You can pay for a new tank with your credit card. A little door will pop open and you take out the new tank and replace it with your old one. How much easier can you get? Beats me!
I am tackling several home improvement projects this summer with a friend whose dad swears by Home Depot so I’ve become a frequent visitor of late. I must say that all of my experiences here have been positive. The employees are helpful and seem eager to please. I can almost always find what I’m looking for at a reasonable price, but when I can’t the employees helping me are quick to look up which other Home Depot locations in the area have what I am looking for.
Most recently, I have visited this location to purchase plants for my yard, lighting fixtures for inside the house, random hardware items and paint. In each and every case I have been pleased with the service, product, and value I received.
The summer is not over yet; I’ll be back.

They have everything you need from hardware stuff to cleaning supplies. Found everything I needed. Staff is ok. Lots of parking available.

I went to this dtore three times ianf all I was trying to was just hook up a water filter to my icemaker. Staff had no idea what I was trying to explain found water filter myself but the seal was broken on all and upon complaining I was told this is all they had and it was up to me to figure it out.
So unless you know exactly what and where you are going to find your part I would not go there.

Home Depot just doesn’t work for me as much as the blue version of Home Depot does for some reason. I think its the product placement and Home Depot doesn’t have that user friendliness. I do appreciate that all the employees know where stuff is and they can even tell you what side of the isle what your looking for is on unlike the Blue version of Home Depot.
The cost is about the same across the board and they are always cheaper than Ace and they will price match any of their competitors.

There’s a time in a girls life when home improvement store is a necessary animal we have to tame and it is like candy to a kid for her man.
Home Depot is just that animal and this particular store is a large beast to tame. I particularly do not like it’s parking lot because of it’s weird shape and access on that street between Office Depot and the Ross Store. Always jammed up with traffic and the other end has the bus area that has Walmart and it’s as congested. But if you can get parked and passed the #1 chili verde vendor out front you are in for a home improvement shopfest.
First the East entrance is where you can do the returns FYI and the West entrance is the contractors entrance, that’s where all the lumber starts. East side is also the garden department.
Actually I have been here on a mission sent by my husband and I’ve been helped by the staff and it is usually a crapshoot if you find someone who knows what they are talking about. I am pretty knowledgeable about things so I feel good about shopping here unattended, although leaving my husband loose with the debit card does give me pause.
Good luck when you are trying to find sprinklers head parts or small little bin parts that the general public can just dig around in. Because everything is miss matched and mixed up because people never put anything back correctly.
Check out their dented or scratched appliances to see if you can get a discount, we got an under counter microwave that was dented on top for a pretty good price. FYI

I went here around noon this past Saturday to pick up some wood for a little project that my dad and I were wanting to start on. I was not satisfied at all with our experience.
First off, all of the wood was blocked off by ropes with employees of Home Depot standing there to make sure no one would go past the barriers. This is ridiculous to have the wood blocked off on a Saturday morning. Saturday mornings are when most people are off work and can come get the supplies that they need to do these DIY projects that keep Home Depot running.
Second, the wood seemed to be blocked off for no reason. No one was even working in the areas where the wood was blocked off. I could see it being blocked off if they were restocking… And if they were, at noon on a Saturday couldn’t be a more horrible time to do it.
Third, when we asked why the wood was blocked off in the first place., the young lad standing by the barricades was so rude. Very rude to my father, snapped at him a few times to the point that they just got into it right there in the store.
We eventually gave up on thinking we would ever get to buy the wood there and on our way out, the door greeter was just as the other employee was. Didn’t care one bit. Total fake. If you can’t put a smile on and at least be decent to the customers you have no business working in customer service. NONE.
This stores employees need an attitude adjustment for real. After all, it is the customers that keep returning to this store that butter the employees bread at night.
Went across the street to their competitors store. Yup the one that starts with a L and ends with an S. Home Depot should learn a thing or two from the competition.
