Auto Spa Express Wash

I have a pet-​peeve when it comes to washing cars. Let’s see if I can explain it. Water runs from the top to the bottom of a car, taking with it dirt, grit and grime and accumulates at the bottom of the car. The tires pick up a lot of grit from the roads sticking, to varying degrees, closer to the bottom of the car. That is why I always wash my car from the top down with lots of suds to carry the dirt away. I don’t want that grit to get stuck in the towel and become sandpaper dulling the finish of my car over its’ lifetime. So when I took my car to the Auto Spa Express Wash on Knudsen and saw those guys starting at the bottom of dry dirty cars and taking the accumulated grit from the bottom of the car to the sides and then to the top of the car at the beginning of the car wash, I cringed. That is even worse than an automatic system, that starts from the top. Even though I have several paid car washes through Groupon, I will not ever take my car there again. And my passenger mirror was still dry and dirty.

I have had several of my vehicles, and the company’s truck washed here. They do a solid job for the money. The problem I have is that it takes so long. There has never been anything broken, or nothing missing from various vehicles. People were cheerfull and eager.

I’ve been bringing my car here for about 2 years and the service has gotten increasingly worse over time.

Took my truck in for detail got it back with the service traction control light on, paint was buffed off around my door handle and the ac vent had been broken to clean it. Everything was cleaned well but it wasn’t worth the damage done. The person I talked to just said it wasn’t them and offered me a car wash. I will never take any vehicles back there.

It takes about 10 minutes per car in line. It is excruciating and can easily take an hour to get through. The drive-​thru strip brushes just wiggle so the cleanliness of your vehicle is dependent on how well the guys scrub before entering the automated wash.
Another annoying thing is that the free vacuums are always full because cars in line to be detailed just park there. You will NEVER get a vacuum on weekends because the three or four spaces that aren’t being used as a parking lot will be occupied.
The whole place is a mess and it is mostly due to how tiny the property is.
HOWEVER, this place is superior to Cruz Thru because it doesn’t cause swirl marks since Cruz Thru uses harsh rubber brushes that beat your car.
Tip: go on a weekday. They have coupon books and there is no wait.

Best car wash in town. Their basic $ 20 car wash come with a guy spending 40+ minutes detailing the inside of the car. I have a large dog that sheds a lot. They work there butts off to get every hair out of my car. Great service. Plan to spend some time here. They get every inch of your car and that takes time.

BROKEN CAR AFTER DETAIL!!!
This morning at 8:00AM (7÷28÷15) I dropped off my Lexus IS250 and picked it up at 5:30PM. After I paid for my full detail service ($ 105) I got into my car to move the driver chair back (Ernie Garcia, the manager, said that he moved it forward so the other employees could shampoo and vacuum the backseat). When I tired to move the driver chair back into position the automatic lever would ONLY move up and down NOT backward and forward.
The automatic lever associated with the driver chair was working fine prior to the drop off this morning. Also, no liability posters were posted around the carwash.
I am going to the auto mechanic tomorrow morning at 7:30am to get an appraisal for the damaged automatic lever.
My hope is for the lever to be replaced and be compensated for the damage.

Very reasonable place I got the deluxe wash plus they have coupons you can download online! They handwash and dry your car all you have to do is clean the inside but u can pay extra to have them clean the inside as well. I love this place!

Had my first car wash tonight. Service is very friendly and helpful. Lady told me the specials are $ 2 off select washes Tuesday and Wednesdays. They hand scrubbed the entire SUV which was caked in mud, cleaned, and dressed the tires for $ 7. I vacuumed the interior after they were done and the vacuum was powerful.
Great experience, terrific value. Will definitely add this to my stomping grounds.

The best car washes in town period. They really clean your car, unlike other car washes that smear your windows and spot clean, these guys get into every nook and crack.

Let me start by saying this will be a bias review. I used to manage this place for the original owner and helped him build most of the building that is there today.
The guy who owns it now does a really good job overall. I believe they get the cars cleaner than other express car washes in town (sorry Cruz-​Thru). It seems like the employees there are the same faces I see every time I go, so it must be a decent place to work.
The only problem I see is the speed at which they operate. If there are three or four cars in front of you, it takes FOREVER. I usually only get the outside done, and it can take the better part of 45 minutes at 12 on a Wednesday. One of the few times I had the full service done, I was the third car in line first thing on a Sunday morning and I was there 90 minutes! Granted, my car looked amazing, but almost no one has that kind of time to wait.
It seems like they could benefit from having a few more people on staff to move the cars through faster. That would make this place 5 stars ever time.
Definitely give these guys a shot, just make sure you aren’t in a hurry when you go.

This is the first time I went to get a car wash in Bakersfield. When i went to get a car wash, it was completely different from where I was living before. The car wash I went to before, I would pay around 10– 14 dollars and it would be a full service car wash, but here in Bakersfield, full service car wash would cost over 20 dollars and self service car wash would start at 9 dollars. Firsy you would drive up and pay the attendant of the car wash you would want to have. Then drive up yourself and while waiting in the car the workers would wash your car. After it is done, you drive and park your car in the spot that has vacuums. Depending on what you paid, you either do it yourself or they clean the car for you.

I always come here. They are always nice to me and I point out what I want them to focus on the most and they always deliver. I drive a SUV with two babies so my car is always a mess inside. I have floor mats and seat protectors and they took the mats off and made them look new. For 25 $$ it’s a lot cheaper than other places that I’ve been that cost 35 $$ and don’t even put armor all on my dash. Anyways, I like this place and I’ll keep going back. Thanks!

My first time having my car washed here, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome! I have a 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback, and decided to do the full detail wash (my car was incredibly filthy!) This wash includes a standard hand wash, carpet and seat shampoo, vacuuming, and wiping down and waxing of the interior dash and door panels.
I would like to warn those who may be considering this, it can take longer than they say. I was given an estimated time of around 2 hours, and wasn’t out until almost four and a half. That being said, if you have that time to spare, it is worth every single minute. I have never had a car wash turn out this good, and I’ve had one other detail wash with my previous car. I could really tell that the staff used every minute they took to make sure my car was spotless, and it turned out looking better than when I first got it.
I’d also like to add that the waiting area of the car wash was in near pristine condition. They have lots of comfy couches and seats, and it had a really nice, clean feel to it.
The staff was very friendly and made sure I was happy with everything before they let me drive off. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about this place! Friendly staff, good quality service and clean facilities! I will definitely be coming back in the future!

They did an awesome job taking their time and really cleaning the inside of my car. I’m never really satisfied with how any other place cleans the inside, but I’m happy to say they did a great job. Would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be returning

The worst customer service Iv have ever seen, always understaffed telling you why they can do this service or why the can wash you truck. The prices are good but the fallow thru is the worst. The Mangers are full of excuses why they can do there job and why they are understaffed. I hate this carwash

My first visit here today was good. Got $ 2 off from Unilocal on the platinum wash. First they hand wash it then you go through, they also hand dry it which is a plus! There was still some dirty spots on the car but overall good experience. Will defiantly be back :)

I was contacted by the owner stating that they had actually hired staff and upgraded the equipment. So i said i would give them another shot.
Here was my experience:
I arrived at 9:11am. My ticket was created at 9:16am. I was finished with the wash at 9:31am. 20 minute visit.
I purchased the $ 11 service, which was the highest level they offer for the «drive thru». FYI, their prices went up… and what a weird number as well. If it wasn’t for me trying to give them a fair shake, i would never dish out that one dollar more. Not because that dollar matters too much, but because it hurts my brain trying to break a $ 20. Just a personal opinion, but i used to like the even $ 5 options between levels of service.
The car was washed as is to be expected by a drive thru. The dusty parts were clean. Most of the bugs were off the front of the car, though not all of them and they do get the windshield 100% clean.
The wheels were still not cleaned properly and they left a plastic deal on the back of the cars wiper blade.
This leaves me in a bit of a quandary, because most other drive through car washes dont even touch your wheels, and this one at least attempts to clean them. The issue i have is when i used to go to this shop everything was 100% from top to bottom. They grew in popularity, and can’t keep up the same level of service to what they used to.
So if you compare this to other drive through shops… they are ⁵⁄₅. If you compare them to what they used to be (which is the level i expect… as you can’t provide a service, take it away and expect the customers to remain as content) then they are a ¹⁄₅. thus the middle of the line score.

My poor car, Izzy, was caked in oil field dirt, dirty sprinkler water, and a dried layer of spray paint (it’s a long story).
$ 150 and five hours later — Izzy came out in almost showroom condition. There were a few missed spots on the trunk and passenger door frame but, I’ll give them a pass on that. All the work is done BY HAND since they say using a buffer will ruin the paint job. They hand buffed this thing! I tried hand buffing the car with water and a microfiber cloth — I completed ten square inches and I would really like that 30 minutes of my life back!
They also threw in an interior detail and a ton of piña colada air fresheners. I’m happy with the job they did on my Izzy and I would use this place again. Hopefully, the next detail won’t involve spray paint removal.
